Animals in the Czech and Portuguese phraseology
Veverková, Anna ; Hricsina, Jan (advisor) ; Jindrová, Jaroslava (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the Portuguese and Czech idioms which contain names of animals and of the parts of their bodies. The initial part of the thesis discusses the theoretical aspects of phraseology regarding the differences in the approach of the Czech and Portuguese linguists. Based on the theoretical platform, the practical part is dedicated to the analysis of the idioms. The basis for the practical part is constituted by the extensive list of Portuguese and Czech idioms, which are analyzed from various points of view, but always with the objective to find differences between Czech and Portuguese as well as the traces which the two languages have in common. Apart from other aspects, the practical part is dedicated to the research of the equivalence between the Czech and Portuguese idioms, to the analysis of the chosen groups of expressions and to the etymology of some of them. Key words animals, phraseology, Czech, Portuguese
Utilization of field-assisted sintering technique for fabrication of metastable beta titanium alloy in a rod shape

Title: Utilization of field-assisted sintering technique for fabrication of metastable beta titanium alloy in a rod shape Author: Adrián Majoros Department: Department of Physics of Materials Supervisor: RNDr. Anna Veverková, Department of Physics of Materials Abstract: We worked with a metastable β titanium alloy Ti-15Mo in the form of a rod produced by field-assisted sintering method (FAST) in this bachelor's thesis. The samples were subjected to classical methods of thermomechanical processing, namely forging and solution treatment. We have investigated the effect of the alloy processing on its microstructure and mechanical properties and compared them with an alloy produced commercially. The characterization was performed by scanning electron microscopy, Vickers microhardness measurement, Archimedes method of porosity measurement and tensile testing. Using Archimedes method, we obtained a quantitative description of porosity of produced rods, which was further qualitatively confirmed by microstructure analysis using scanning electron microscopy. We have found out that in order to achieve a microstructure similar to the microstructure of a commercially produced rod, it is necessary to subject the sintered rod to further processing particularly to forging. After solution treatment, the forged sintered rod...
Metastable alloy Ti-15Mo prepared by powder metallurgy
Veverková, Anna ; Bartha, Kristina (advisor)
This diploma thesis focused on manufacturing and characterization of Ti-15Mo metastable beta-Ti alloy prepared by cryogenic milling and spark plasma sintering. Initial powder was prepared by gas atomization and consequently deformed by cryogenic milling (milled powder). Both initial and milled powders were compacted by spark plasma sintering (SPS) at temperatures from 750 řC to 850 řC. Dependence of microstructure and mechanical properties on the parameters of preparation was studied. During cryo-milling, powder particles significantly changed shape from ball-shaped to disc-shaped. Particles were not refined by milling, but severely plastically deformed. SEM observations showed that all prepared samples contain duplex alpha + beta structure. Volume fraction of alpha phase is significantly higher in the sintered milled powder due to increased beta- transus temperature caused by contamination by oxygen and also due to easier alpha phase precipitation caused by refined microstructure. Maximum microhardness of 350 HV was achieved for both types of sintered powders. High microhardness of sintered initial powder can be attributed to formation of omega phase during cooling, while sintered milled powder is strengthened by refined microstructure and small alpha phase precipitates. Cryogenic milling prior to...

Imptortant Chambre Copositions in the Violine literature of the 2nd hlaf of the 20th century
Veverková, Anna ; Messiereur, Petr (advisor) ; Havlík, Jaromír (referee) ; Čermák, Lubomír (referee)
The conception of my disertation thesis is foccused on The important chambre compositions of the violin literature of the 2nd half of the 20th century. The conseption of my thesis is intendet on seven chapters. The first is about the developement of the violin sonata and its modification in the climatics works of present. The next two chapters deal with two solo violin pieces by L. Berio and P. Boulez, focussed on the intepret´s view. The second thematic unit is about new recourses in the instrumental combination of violin and piano, in which I foccused on the important chambre music works by A. Schnittke, G. Crumb and I. Xenakis. The third thematic sphere is about chambre compositions of the nontraditional instrumental conflation. After this chapter I speak about the most interesting composition of the nontradtional conflation, which is G. Kurtág´s Kafka Fragmente op. 24 for soprano and violin. The last chapter represents concrete using of the new technical possibilities of the string instruments. The two main works are composed by H. Lachenmann and T. Murail.

Veverková, Anna ; Messiereur, Petr (advisor) ; Messiereur, Petr (advisor) ; Štraus, Ivan (referee) ; Kotmel, Bohumil (referee)
The thesis discusses Jaroslav Ježek (1906 - 1942) and his music with emhasis on his Concerto for Violin and Wind Orchestra, which it analyzes from the standpoint of performace and places of the context of the time of its origin. Also touched on are the common history of violin concerto and represntatives of the Czech interwar avant garde.
