Word-class pairs in present-day English
VANČUROVÁ, Jana
This bachelor thesis deals with stress placement in English words. The theoretical part presents the definition of stress and the principles of stress placement, and introduces the concept of reduction. The thesis focuses mainly on word-class pairs, i.e. words that are identical in spelling but different in their stress placement according to the part of speech they represent, which significantly changes their pronunciation. The priority of the research is to create an overview of words in which this type of conversion occurs. The practical part is divided into chapters according to the number of syllables in the words identified. Each contains alphabetical lists of the lexical units involved in the process. The penultimate chapter reports on the findings of the research and the last chapter presents methodological recommendations that may find application in teaching and could help students understand the issue of word stress.

Collections were made, identified potential yield and their use for elderberry (Sambucus nigra L.), blackberry (Rubus fruticocus L.) and rose (Rosa canina L.). Average potential yield from 1 m2 for fresh fruits has been set 225,369 g for elderberry, 213,707 g for blackberry and 74,018 g for dog rose.
Vliv pastvy ovcí na travní porosty v Chráněné krajinné oblasti Beskydy
Vančurová, Jana
The aim of this thesis was to assess and evaluate the species composition of grazing stands in two localities. The aim was also to find out what species in the Beskydy protected landscape area (PLA) dominated, how the species composition of the stand changed with altitude, pedological and climatic conditions. As the quality of grassland, diversity indices changed, there were demonstrable differences between sites and affected grass grazing during the year. Phytosociological imagery using projective dominance was used to compare the species composition of the stand and the Zurich-Montpellier system was used to casify plant communities. For the evaluation of the species composition of the foot stands, the calculation of the mean nitrogen number, mean water number, grassland quality, McNaughton's dominance index, Hill's diversity index, Shannon diversity index, Pielou's equivalence index, qualitative similarity index and statistical evaluation were used. The locality Za Kopcem was dominated by Festuca rubra L. and Festuca pratensis Huds., Dactylis glomerata L. and Trifolium repens L. in the locality Hutisko. The species composition was influenced by environmental conditions, which was also proved by the quality of grassland. The locality Za Kopcem balanced the low to medium diversity index, the Hutisko locality reached a medium diversity index. There were statistically significant differences between sites. Extensive grazing has caused an increase in herbs and the optimal pasture load has increased the incidence of lower grasses.
Řeka v městské krajině
Vančurová, Jana
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of rivers in urban landscape, from the viewpoint of landscape architecture. It is divided into two parts. First, theoretical part aims to make an introduction into topic, give historical overview and describe actual state of designing urban riverfronts. Last chapter defines principles on which such spaces should be designed. Second part introduces the chosen model object, the town of Havlíčkův Brod, presents analysis carried out in the area leading to the basis for the author´s design solution. The main output is a landscape architecture design project. Three general design strategies were converted into the design of a masterplan for part of the Sázava river, which runs through the city. The proposal emphasizes revival of the riverbanks, clear connection and spatial form of urban spaces connected to the river and stormwater management in order to increase ecological stability, improve microclimate and flood protection.
