Evaluation the suitability of edibles which are most often part of the snack of pupils aged between 11 and 15 from selected school

The bachelor's thesis deals with snacks of secondary school pupils. The research problem is the difference between recommended healthy snacks and their real eating habits. The aim of the practical part is to evaluate the eating habits of pupils aged between 11 and 15 years during breaks. Find out what the children are bringing for their snacks, what they are really eating and who is preparing their snacks. Then compare the types of food in a school snack, whether it is sweet or salty and theirs drinking habits. Quantitative research was conducted to obtain the necessary research data. The research was carried out at a selected elementary school by way of an anonymous questionnaire survey in paper form. The research involved 135 respondents, out of that 130 questionnaires were used. Gathered sample consisted of 53.1% women and 46.9% men. Almost all of respondents bring a snack to school every day, 2 respondents never bring one and others occasionally. Most often they bring a snack so that they are not hungry at school, because they are hungry or so that they can eat. The most common snack is buttered bread, with fruit and/or vegetables, the second most common snack is buttered bread with fruit and/or vegetables and biscuits and/or sweets. Information of selected women in the reproducive period about the possibilities of family planning, pregnancy and childbirth in the selected region

The thesis deals with the issues of family planning, pregnancy and birth. The theoretical subsections focus on family planning, contraception, birth and puerperium. The practical part of the thesis is a survey that was carried out among the women in a specific region who have not yet given birth. The main goal of thesis was to determine the awareness of women in the reproductive period about the options of family planning, pregnancy and childbirth. The most common sources of information concerning reproduction were investigated, as well as the awareness of the types of contraception that can cause temporary inability to conceive after discontinuation. Furthermore, the aim was to investigate whether the female respondents are well informed about prenatal examinations, childbirth and the puerperium. The results of the practical part show that the women are sufficiently informed about reproductive issues. A total of 61,5 % of female respondents were able to correctly answer the questions regarding their knowledge. School, family and internet were listed as the essential information resources by the respondents. Knowledge about healthy food and eating habits of teachers in selected schools

The diploma thesis "Knowledge about healthy food and eating habits of teachers in the selected schools" aimed to find out the nutritional knowledge of teachers at selected primary and secondary schools and also find out how much do they follow the basic principles of healthy nutritions during their working days. The research for my diploma thesis was carried out using a questionnaire survey, in which two hundred and forty one teachers of selected primary and secondary schools participated. .All the schools that I selected for the questionnaire survey are located in Kladno, the most populous city in the Central Bohemian region. The questionnaire survey was devided into three parts - to identify the teachers, their knowledge and their eating habbits. The results of the research were good - the overall success rate of all respondents was 63.3%. Primary school teachers fared slightly better than secondary school teachers. According to predetermined criteria, teachers pay attention to the principles of a healthy diet only exceptionally. Secondary school teachers fared significantly better in this section. The content of this thesis deals with emergency situations and behavior during their occurrence. The main objective was to investigate the awareness of the population of the Karlovy Vary region regarding behavior during emergency situations. This knowledge was verified by a questionnaire survey, which also tested the theoretical knowledge of the population in this field. Based on the results obtained from the questionnaire, a proposal for a possible two-hour seminar was created to supplement the missing knowledge and strengthen the existing one. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of an emergency event and its classification according to the method of occurrence. The issue of civilian protection is also addressed, including the evacuation of civilians, warning of the population, evacuation bags, and improvised means of protection. The reader will also learn what a crisis situation is and how to distinguish between its types. The basic components of the integrated rescue system and their tasks are listed here as well. Knowledge of third and final year students of a selected secondary medical school about first aid in specific situations

The aim of this study was to find out the knowledge of students of 3rd and 4th year, the Medical Lyceum and the Practical Nurse, in pre-medical first aid. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the concept of first aid including its division and aims. The integrated rescue system of the Czech Republic is also mentioned here. Moreover, it describes the correct procedure of pre-medical first aid in selected situations. Its practical part is devoted to finding out the knowledge of the Secondary Medical School students in Pardubice about first aid. Data collection was carried out using an anonymous questionnaire survey, which included 17 questions and 3 model situations. The questionnaire was used to determine theoretical knowledge about first aid and knowledge in solving specific model situations. A total of 80 students were surveyed. Subsequent data were processed and evaluated. It was found that the 4th year students performed better overall in specific model situations. The Practical Nurse showed better results in specific model situations overall. According to the number of correct answers from the questionnaire, the 3rd year had a better result overall. Effect of formal and informal nutrition education on the dietary habits of high-school students

The bachalor thesis focuses on the effects of formal nutrition education on the theoretical knowledge of learners and its subsequent application in their daily meal choices. It aims at students of a selected grammar school and a selected vocational school. The goal was to find out whether or not vocational school learners have better knowledge than grammar school learners and if their knowledge transfers into practice. The research sample of a questionnaire survey consisted of 199 students. According to its outcome, the knowledge of the topic proven by vocational school learners does not significantly differ from the knowledge of their grammar school counterparts. Despite the lack of formal nutrition education at the grammar school, it is the learners of the grammar school who have the better knowledge. The thesis called "The awareness of harmful effects of using tobacco products and experience with their usage among pupils of lower secondary stage of selected elementary schools." is divided into three parts. The theoretical part is devoted to the origin of tobacco products and their chemical composition. It describes the effect of toxic substances contained in tobacco smoke on the human body, characterizes the diseases that are associated with the use of these products, explains the harm of passive smoking, and lists the legislative measures introduced in this area. It also deals with the emergence and treatment of addiction, the use of tobacco by children of older school age and describes preventive measures that appear in Czech schools. In the practical part, it presents the results of quantitative research with 198 respondents, in two elementary schools in the Karlovy Vary region. The target group consisted of pupils of the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth grades. The results of the research showed that the awareness of these pupils is at a very high level, but some awareness needs to be brought closer to the pupils - especially in the section of diseases caused using tobacco products, legislative measures and in the section of chemical composition of products. This diploma thesis concerns the most used drug, alcohol. The theoretical part consists of chapters concerning alcohol characteristics, pharmacology effects of alcohol consumption on the human body, and alcohol consumption by youths. Moreover, the thesis defines addiction and focuses on drug issues and their prevention. This diploma thesis mainly aims to reveal the knowledge of alcohol effects and consequent risks of high school students in all years based on the number of correct answers. The minor aims are to find the comprehension of given students in alcohol law, the first experience with alcoholic beverages, the frequency of alcohol consumption in the previous 30 days, and the way of alcoholic beverages providing. The aims have been assessed based on a questionnaire focused on alcohol knowledge and alcohol consumption. According to the questionnaire findings, the students appear to have a decent knowledge of alcohol's effect on the human body and the consequent risks of alcohol consumption. Also, most of them have already had an experience with alcohol. Furthermore, the practical part incorporates an interactive lecture proposal focusing on alcohol and its consequence on the human body.
