Healthy nutrition teaching at primary schools

The work aims to map the curriculum of nutrition and its anchoring in educational programs and through a questionnaire survey to find out whether the content of the curriculum is sufficiently developed for primary school teachers, i.e. whether it is effective in their practice. The theoretical part summarizes the information concerning the nutrition of children of younger school age, focusing mainly on the principles of proper nutrition, building healthy eating habits, which significantly contribute to their future health and may have a preventive character from development of diseases. One of the many possible ways of prevention is teaching nutrition in primary schools with the help of appropriate teaching methods, activities, and the use of nutritional lecture programs, which this work mentions. The practical part contains a questionnaire survey, in which it examines the relationship of teachers to the teaching of nutrition, focusing mainly on their views on the anchoring of the curriculum in educational programs. The resulting data are recorded in tables and graphs, which are accompanied by a commentary. The consumption of energy drinks for students at two selected secondary schools

This diploma thesis examines the awareness of students in terms of the risks of energy consumption at two selected secondary schools in Prague according to the number of correct answers. Firstly, it deals with the description and composition of energy drinks in order to find out which substances they contain and how they can stimulate the body. It describes the origin of energy drinks and their development and impact on society and people. The composition of energy drinks is examined and the individual ingredients are inspected, including their effects. In case of objection, the positive effects of consumption are also examined along with consumption risks. The most important part of the thesis is to compare and evaluate the specific health impact on the consumption of energy drinks and the awareness of their effects. Not only is the health impact evaluated, but the social and economic impacts, advertising and the influence of famillial or social background are evaluated also. Knowledge of pupils 9. classes selected primary schools about eating disorders

This bachelor's thesis is focused mainly on the knowledge of 9th-grade pupils of selected primary schools about eating disorders (shortly ED). Among other things, it aimed to find out whether pupils had ever heard of ED and, if so, where they had heard about it. A partial goal of this bachelor thesis was also to show whether these pupils know about someone who suffers or has suffered from an eating disorder. If they know of such a person, who this person is? Another partial goal was to clarify whether pupils can identify the symptoms of ED and to whom they would confide their concerns, in case of suspicion of ED within their friends. Furthermore, this work focused on whether the pupils involved are aware of the potential threat to themselves in terms of ED. Last but not least partial goal of the work was to find out the relationship between stigmatization and ED. An anonymous questionnaire survey was used to obtain information The results show that pupils have 58 % knowledge of ED. Everyone has heard of ED at some point, with the media being most involved in the responses. 60 % of pupils know of someone with ED, most often a publicly known person.
