ABSTRACT: The thesis attempts to define basic common features of the intentionally educational literary production focused on children and youngsters in the latter half of the so called "long 19th century" - the period when the texts with educational but at the same time artistic aims (however these being in the texts variously emphasized) were produced mainly by teachers and educators. The dissertation aims to improve our understanding of how the non-aesthetic norms of the time influenced the distinctive forms of this type of literary works. Attention is aimed to the primary education teachers who wanted to form the model readers of their works, being at the same time both agents of the formative process and objects of the extensive intentional social influence that was focused on them due to their profession. Education for patriotism in Czech schools

The key aim of this work is a method of patriotic education in our schools, mainly in the first grade of primary schools. The point of this work is to awaken patriotism in society again. In the first step we are informed about the important ideas that enable to develope the assumptions neccesary for the patriotic recognition and for an increase in patriotic feeling. The theory pays the attention to morality, influencing behaviour; for example, material and physical values and the aesthetic. It describes each historical term individually, from the beginning of national recovery during the first half of 19th century to the present days. It underlines the need to understand correctly the individual ideas and it points out the general chaos and risks of their interpretations in society. It recognises the important tasks that our society has to face to maintain the education of patriotism succesfully. The practical aspect contains the class discussions, interwiews and analysis of individual pupils, teachers, directors and it compares the level and quality of class debats with teacher`s attitude. The main thing was to find out the teachers' personal feeling about patriotism, his or her attitude towards its education and the way he or she communicates this during the lessons.

PhDr. Jana Uhlířová, CSc. Abstract: The aim of this work is a comparison of contemporary French and Czech kindergarden in some significant aspects. These are (i) educational goals in the kindergardens and (ii) conception of the preschool education and daily schedule of a kindergarten class. This work consists of two major parts, the theoretical part and the empirical part. The theoretical part discusses an embedding of a kindergarden in the educational system, conception of a child, conditions of child care in a preschool age and, finally, it precisely analyzes legislative documents of the educational programs in France and the Czech republic. The analysis also includes a translation of selected parts of French curriculum. The empirical part of this work is based on observation of a daily schedule and conditions in which the preschool education takes place. The comparison of both above mentioned aspects highlights the differences between a conception of a child and the application of the theoretical document in practice in both countries, the Czech republic and France. Projects at Primary School in the Context of the Jan Amos Comenius' Regional Museum in Komňa

The thesis Project teaching at 1st grade of primary school in the context of regional museum John Amos Comenius, deals with linking subject matter of John Amos Comenius and project teaching, and utilizes the facilities of John Amos Comenius Memorial in Komňa. In the theoretical part are analysed information about the project method, its implementation in the teaching process, the importance and difficulties. The key part is the practical one, which is devoted to the design and realization of the project The footsteps of John Amos Comenius, which was made by pupils of John Amos Comenius Primary School in Komňa. Final projects were exhibited at the Municipal Office in Komňa. The enclosure contains the worksheets, which are intended for further use in the classroom.
System of rewards and punishments in the educational process in preschool age

This Bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part deals mainly with educational resources reward and punishment. This issue was understood in the context of pre-school child, discusses the evolution of behavior, emotional and social development of a child of this age. It deals with issues of discipline and its boundaries. The theoretical section explains the concepts related to rewards and punishments, education, family, and the first institution of a nursery school. The Bachelor thesis presents several principles and recommendations designed by teachers, psychologists, which are suitable for application of these educational methods. In the practical, the thesis investigates a questionnaire survey conducted by means of interview with parents and teachers, and talking to children aged 5-6 years, who explained the system of rewards and punishments applied in the family and at school. The goal is to obtain a comprehensive view of educational resources, which are the reward and punishment.
