The English influence on Hindī

Hindi is the official language of India and a predominant language in the so-called Hindi belt, i.e. the states and territories of Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh. Outside these areas, Hindi is widely spoken in cities such as Mumbai, Hyderabad or Kolkatta as well. Furthermore, according to the 1998 survey it is the second most spoken language in the world, with 333 million native speakers, i.e. 40 % of the Indian population. 1 Besides, Hindi is used by another 300 million lndians as their second language and by another 8 million speakers outside of India. Thus this number includes both the countries where Hindi is the common second language, such as Mauritius, Fiji, Trinidad, Guyana or Surinam and the countries, where Hindi is the first language of large Indian communities settled all over the world, such as South Africa, Yemen, Uganda, Northern America, Great Britain, Australia, Germany etc. Concerning the linguistic point of view, Hindi belongs to a vast family of lndo-European languages, particularly to its lndo-Aryan branch. lt is a descendent of Sanskrit, the earliest speech of the Aryan conquerors who settled in the north-west frontiers of India around 2000 BC. Czech-German cultural dimensions and standards in the environment of Czech and German young people

Thesis contents definition of term culture, both it´s older definition and also it´s newer conception from authors representing various sciences. In the next part of this thesis is described current usage of the term culture. After that conceptions of cultural dimensions and standards are explained. Big part of the thesis is devoted to the specific contrasting Czech-German dimensions and standards, both from a czech point of view and from a german perspective. Starting point for a verification of these culture dimensions and standards is a questionnaire survey, conducted in the environment of Czech and German young people. Based on this research the Czech-German culture dimensions and standards are proven or refuted.

Statical design of residential house

The master's thesis deals with static analysis of selected reinforced concrete elements of an apartment building. Specifically solved are the reinforced concrete slab of above-ground floor, point-supported slab of underground garage, the most exposed column, staircase, load-bearing wall of shear core, external load-bearing wall and building foundation on piles. Load effects were calculated using the Axis VM 12 software. Design of foundation was solved in the Geo 5 software. The thesis includes shape drawing documentation of selected elements.

Determination of surfactants in soil taken from fireplaces

The diploma thesis is focused on surfactants as compounds of fire fighting foams. Fire fighting foams have several characteristics including foaming, aquatic toxicity and biodegradability, which cause the environmental impact. This diploma thesis deals with the contamination of the soil by the large amount of the extinguishing water. The experimental part of the diploma thesis describes the determination of surfactants by the mobile analysis and the measurement of the methylene blue index.

Design of reinforced concrete cylindric tank

The bachelor's thesis deals with static analysis of a reinforced concrete cylindrical tank. The analysis includes load calculation for selected load cases and design of tank wall and bottom reinforcement. Load combinations and load effects were calculated using the Axis VM software. The thesis includes shape drawing documentation, as well as drawing documentation of bottom and wall reinforcement.

Overdue receivables in tax records and in bookkeeping

This thesis aims at describing and exploring the options for taxpayers, how to deal with receivables overdue, and also focuses on the extent of tax deductibility of these adjustments. In the first part, it deals with general concept of debt, debt settlement options and tools how to prevent expiration of their maturity. In the following section the thesis deals with the adjustments of profit to the tax base limited to modifications that are associated with receivables overdue. Another aim is to highlight the fact that unpaid debts bring, it is not only a financial loss of its failure to pay, but there is also the tax burden. This work is advice on how to get rid of this burden, even if only partially. The work not only describes the possibilities of tax optimization, but also alludes to more complicated areas that are still in dispute due to the existence of several possible ways to post. In the last chapter, the work is enriched with practical cases, when taxpayers did not follow the established rules. This is a cassation complaint related to claims, which were resolved by the Supreme Administrative Court in recent years.

In vitro determination of antimicrobial, antioxidative and antiphlogistic aktivity of quinones from seeds of Nigella sativa

The in vitro anti-yeast, antioxidant, and anti-inf1ammatory activities ofblack cumin (Nigella sativa) seed quinones, namely dithymoquinone (DTQ), thymohydroquinone (THQ), and thymoquinone (TQ), were evaluated in frame of this work. The results showed that THQ and TQ possessed significant anti-yeast activity and affected the growth of aH strains tested at two pH levels with minimum inhibitory concentrations ranging from 8 to 128 !lg/ml. The best scavenging activity was produced by THQ, which showed a remarkable activity of 2.60 Trolox equivalents (TE) in a concentration range between 1.6 and 6.4 !lg/mL and lCso value of 2.4 !lg/mL in ORAC and DPPH assays, respectively. Contrastingly, TQ possessed only weak DPPH scavenging efficacy (ICso = 170 !lg/mL) but significant antioxidative action of 1.91 TE in ORAC assay. In anti-inf1ammatory assay, THQ and TQ possessed significant inhibitory activity against COX-l and -2 at the concentrations comparable with indomethacin. The data presented in this work suggest that THQ and TQ are biologically effective agents with potential for application in food or phalmaceutical industries.
