Skalní umění představuje archeologický pramen velmi specifické povahy. Je to bezprostřední odkaz, který nám zanechaly prehistorické a raně historické společnosti v různých částech světa o svém životě, soužití i bojích, úsilí i strádání, úspěších i neúspěších, obavách i touhách. Je to konkrétní svědectví o tom, jak tyto společnosti samy sebe vnímaly, jak znázorňovaly a uchopovaly svět, který je obklopoval, jak se vypořádávaly s nejrůznějšími událostmi a změnami, které se jich citelně dotýkaly a fungovaly jako hnací motor kulturního a společenského vývoje a jako podnět k mnohým adaptacím, technologickým inovacím i aktualizacím v různých oblastech života.1 Je to přímé hmotné vyjádření lidských představ a myšlenek,2 ikonografická projekce symbolického, metafyzického a emocionálního světa prehistorických populací,3 o němž kosti a kamenné nástroje, které získáváme z archeologického záznamu, většinou zarytě mlčí. Ve skalním umění se nám odkrývá docela jiný svět dávných společností a populací, prostřednictvím skalních obrazů je velmi snadné tento svět spatřit, avšak uchopit jej, pochopit zůstává většinou značně obtížné. Lenka Suková Abstract of Dissertation 1 THE ROCK ART OF NORTHEAST AFRICA: A CASE STUDY OF THE ROCK PAINTINGS FROM THE CZECHOSLOVAK CONCESSION IN LOWER NUBIA Lenka Suková ABSTRACT OF DISSERTATION The study I hereby submit as a dissertation is part of my long-term project aimed at a critical evaluation of the rock-art and archaeological evidence gathered in two sections of the Nile Valley in Lower Nubia by the Czechoslovak expedition working in the framework of the UNESCO-organised salvage campaign. The study, published in 2011 as a separate monograph, is concerned only with occurrences of rock paintings and coloured (incrusted) petroglyphs in the two research area. The nine shelters treated herein constitute only 0.64 % in the whole corpus from the Czechoslovak concession predominated by petroglyphs - just as in most of Northeast Africa - of varied themes, styles, and dates. Nevertheless, this painted corpus is a valuable collection that, as opposed to petroglyphs, represents works that were more demanding from the technical point of view and require detailed analysis of technical aspects, is more amenable to stylistic analysis, and, last but not least, the colour scheme itself plays part in interpretation (for instance, in the case of white, probably linen kilts or tunics in two of the shelters - 17 R XIII,...

The use of mystery shopping as a tool for the effective control of sales staff

The thesis deals with mystery shopping and its use in practice. The goal of thesis is to identify and analyze the possibilities to use this method as a tool for the effective control of sales staff. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter contains information about retailing and its division. The second chapter deals with mystery shopping including: introduction of the method and its history, MS technics, internationally valid standards for MS and characteristic of the mystery shopper. The last chapter focuses on practical research which was carried out in cooperation with O'Neill company.

Social Networking Sites in Education

Diploma thesis deals with social networking sites and their use in education. Thesis is divided into two general parts. The first part deals with theory of learning; Bloom's taxonomy of educational objectives and new educational theory based on learning in networks -- Connectivism. After that thesis focuses on the definition of social networking sites, introduction of some of the best known social networking sites and examples of their use in foreign and domestic educational practice. The second part of the thesis is concerned with a practical use of chosen social networking site Wall.fm in classes of Web 2.0 and Social Networking Services course at the University of Economics, Prague. One of the parts is devoted to the survey among students of the course regarding the feedback on the use of social networking site in classes. The author then offers recommendations and suggestions for the use of the social networking site in Web 2.0 and Social Networking Services course in the upcoming semesters.

The thesis discusses the business negotiation with a Finnish partner. The first part is dedicated to the characteristic of the Republic of Finland and its contemporary environment. The second part is devoted to the main elements of the Finnish culture and society. The third part includes the information about the business negotiation in Finland. The last part involves the practical research on the business negotiation with a Finnish partner whose participants were the Czech firms exporting to Finland. The research was proceeded through the questionnaire.

Electronic signature and První certifikační autorita

This bachelor thesis deals with electronic signature and První certifikační autorita. The theoretical part is aimed at the definition of electronic signature, refers to its advantages and drawbacks and the principles of symmetric and asymmetric cryptology, on which electronic signature is based. It also describes the development of legislation governing electronic signature and provides definitions of selected concepts - certification authority and certificate. The second part deals with the companyPrvní certifikační autorita, one of the only three accredited providers of certification services in the Czech Republic. It contains an introduction of the company, its services, statistics of the Czech certificate market and statistics of the company's issued certificates. Next chapter describes the acquisition process of qualified certificate at První certifikační autorita, an assessment of the service and proposals for its improvement.
