Prestige of Nursery School Teaching

This thesis is devoted to the teaching profession with a focus on nursery school teaching. The theoretical part contains information about teaching as a profession, focusing directly on the prestige of nursery school teachers and describes the contemporary aspects of prestige. Finally, it is described in detail the development of the profession preschool teacher, as a source of ongoing professionalisation of teaching. The main objective of the research is to compare how the prestige of pre-primary teachers evaluated by teachers from other educational levels and preschool educators themselves. Furthermore, to determine how different the results of the investigation work of the author and poll by the Centre for Public Opinion Research (Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění - CVVM) at the Institute of Sociology of the prestige of the profession of 2013 and 2016. Design survey is mixed. The method is a questionnaire, structured interviews and document analysis. The results show the relative agreement with research by CVVM. Respondents rated significantly differently just 4 professions and teaching professions rated slightly higher than in the original survey. Adaptation to kindergarten and appropriate activities for four-year-olds and younger children

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of child adaptation into the kindergarten environment, particularly children four years old and younger. Special attention is given to games and activities that strengthen the relationship of the child with the teacher or the other kids and strengthen the security of the child in his new environment. In the theoretical part, the student will focus on the preschool-aged child's socialization and the aspects related to his transition from a family environment into the wider environment of a kindergarten school. The main objective of the study, which is part of the thesis, is to find out about the adaptation process with three to four-year-old children entering kindergarten and what factors influence this process. The practical part of the thesis presents three case studies of children between the ages of three and four, who start going to the kindergarten for their first time, focusing on adaptation in the kindergarten. The survey was conducted by a combination of interviews with parents, the child, the principal of the kindergarten school and by observing the child directly in the kindergarten.

Professional competencies of nursery school teachers

The thesis deals with the professional competencies of teachers of nursery schools. The theoretical part focuses on contemporary education of nursery school teachers and its history in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on professional competencies. Besides defining the concept of professional competence and their various concepts. Czech education preschool teachers is contrasted with the situation in Europe. The main aim of the research part of the thesis is to describe the differences between differently educated teachers of kindergartens within the conceptualization of professional competencies. The investigation is specifically compared how teachers assess the importance of professional competence and adequacy of their development in the initial training. The survey includes pilot study and private research. Pilot study includes data collection questionnaires and structured interviews for the four case studies with differently educated preschool teachers. Own research is realized in the form of questionnaires with different educated preschool teachers and structured interviews with experts on preschool education.
