First, a literature review on organizational culture generally is presented and subsequently the factors influencing the culture of school are described. In the next part the author looked upon the school as an organization generally and focused on some sources of influence, which impact on its function. He offered some hints from professional literature and also his own reflection to the topic. The second part of the thesis deals with the basic school where the autor works as a psychologist. The reflection is based on interview with teachers made by the author personally and on the longitudinal records of interactions observed at this school. Subsequently some interventions into change of school culture, made by the author, are described. The perceived change is pursued by questionnairs. Finally the author offers some recommendations how to create school culture focusing on participation.
