The Concept of Freedom of Nikolai Berdyaev
Šimek, Vojtěch ; Sládek, Karel (advisor) ; Bartoň, Josef (referee)
Anglická anotace The Concept of Freedom of Nikolai Berdyaev The present work focuses on the concept of freedom of Russian religious philosopher Nikolai Berdyaev, whose work dates back to the first half of the 20th century. The thinker was expelled from Russia by Lenin's regime in 1922 and died in France in 1948. Berdyaev's concept of freedom stems from his introspective and intuitive approach while undervaluating and deliberately overpassing the significance of rationality. In this concept, an important role is played by the idea of objectification, which, according to Berdyaev, is the gnoseological interpretation of the original sin and the fallen state of the world. Liberation comes from the world of spirit, which is put into contrast to the world of nature and necessity. Objectification (thesis) and the freedom of spirit (antithesis) find their synthesis in a creative act, which is a divine-human act. In Berdyaev's concept, freedom is absolutised, growing from the meontic principle. God himself is drawn into the mystery and tragedy of freedom. Berdyaev's freedom achieves its completion in the concept of active eschatologism. God together with the man defeats the evil stemming from the meontic principle. The present work looks upon Berdyaev's concept of freedom from the point of view of Christian and...
The spiritual life of a lay male. Theological and psychological base, social transformations and expectations
Šmídek, Martin ; Kohut, Pavel Vojtěch (advisor) ; Sládek, Karel (referee)
Title : Spiritual life of a male laic. Theological and psychological base, social metamorphosis and expectations. Keywords : male spirituality, masculinity, marriage life, gender studies, spiritual theology. Annotation : Spiritual life of a man living in a marriage is explored from various points of view. Studying biblical narratives about the creation of man showed constitutive differences between male and female, as well as their special symmetry connected with life roles. Differences in Jesus' behaviour towards a man or a woman were observed and classified. Notion of "social womb" used in family psychotherapy was generalized to suit the description of a male spiritual life in the context of a marriage and family life. Metamorphosis of a father's status in history was briefly shown and focus was made on contemporary situation. Influences of feminism and gender studies were also explored. Statistical surveys showing significant diminution of Christianity in the Czech Republic lead to the idea of "latent spirituality" which was proposed for the sake of possibility to study the early stages of a male's belief. Examples of feedback loops among biological, psychological and spiritual processes were shown in their positive and negative roles.

Diagnostics of passivation layers for crystalline silicon solar cellls.
Sládek, Karel ; Hégr, Ondřej (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The work deals with a comparison of existing and perspective types of passivation and anti-reflective coating for silicon solar cells. The theoretical part describes the appropriate methodology for the characterization of these layers and focuses on the passivation layers based on Al2O3. The practical part describes design and verification operations of the equipment for measuring of the amount of fixed charge in the passivation layers using corona discharge. It also describes the implementation of equipment and the results of indicative tests for positive and negative polarity of high voltage. The final part discusses the possibility of equipment improving.
Suggest and look into possibilities of making straw briquettes for energy use.
SLÁDEK, Karel
This thesis addresses the problem of making straw briquettes. The aim is to examine the possibility of making straw briquettes directly on the field from lines arising after the passing of the combine harvester, which would save the operation of harvesting and storing straw and thus transport intensity. The basis of this work is finding straw production in the Czech Republic and its possible potential to produce briquettes. The Czech Republic is able to use for energy purposes, an average of 1.6 million t / y of straw cereals and 900 000 t / y of rape straw. Low specific density cut straw complicated transport to incinerators or to stationary lines to produce other forms of fuel. Pressing the straw bales specific density improves, but costs associated with transport are still relatively high. Because of low specific density, straw often stored in open stacks. Not all the straw, which is not used directly in agriculture, is used for combustion. There are also other industrial uses for straw, as Ecopanels (construction), paper, various ornaments and tools (for example: baskets). Most important for the production of briquettes is the moisture content of input material, which may not exceed 15%. The basis for obtaining briquettes directly in the field is appropriate combination of forage harvester and briquetting press, for example self-propelled briquetting press Biotruck 2000 is constructed from the Claas Jaguar. Forage harvester transports straw to the briquetting press, during transport is straw dried because of the heat from powerful engine. To briquetting is used several types of presses that are described in this thesis. The best quality briquettes are formed on the principle of screw press. The last two parts of the thesis are dealing with proposal the technological line for production of briquettes from straw directly on the field. There are described here used machines, their cost, performance and energy efficiency in those parts of the thesis. In the proposed procedure is a dry indoor storage of briquettes.
