Ecclesiological Prerequisites of the permanent Diaconate
Seifert, David ; Kohut, Pavel Vojtěch (referee) ; Sládek, Karel (referee)
Anglická anotace (English annotation) Name of Thesis: The ecclesiological background of the permanent diaconate Key words: The permanent Diaconate, Diacon, Ecclesiology, Models of the Church, Church, Servant, Communio . Abstract: It's not possible to say something theologically about the diaconate, if we haven't said enough about the Church (P. M. Zulehner). We must to search for the model of the Church, which would to be good compatible with the Diaconate. It seems, that it's certainly the communio model, because it designs the image of the Church according to the Holy Trinity mystery, therefore the unity in the plurality of the various charismas and ministries. Such is also the opinion of many theologians (for example Walter Kasper). But we can see, that the mystery of the Church is too rich, that it's necessary to use not only one model, but all models complementarily . Also for the good understanding of the right role of diacon in the Church we must to contemplate all of the main images (or models) of the Church (Church as the institution, as the mystical communion - this includes also the Body of Christ and the people of God, the Church as the Sacrament, as the Herald and the Church as Servant).

The Concept of Freedom of Nikolai Berdyaev
Šimek, Vojtěch ; Sládek, Karel (advisor) ; Bartoň, Josef (referee)
Anglická anotace The Concept of Freedom of Nikolai Berdyaev The present work focuses on the concept of freedom of Russian religious philosopher Nikolai Berdyaev, whose work dates back to the first half of the 20th century. The thinker was expelled from Russia by Lenin's regime in 1922 and died in France in 1948. Berdyaev's concept of freedom stems from his introspective and intuitive approach while undervaluating and deliberately overpassing the significance of rationality. In this concept, an important role is played by the idea of objectification, which, according to Berdyaev, is the gnoseological interpretation of the original sin and the fallen state of the world. Liberation comes from the world of spirit, which is put into contrast to the world of nature and necessity. Objectification (thesis) and the freedom of spirit (antithesis) find their synthesis in a creative act, which is a divine-human act. In Berdyaev's concept, freedom is absolutised, growing from the meontic principle. God himself is drawn into the mystery and tragedy of freedom. Berdyaev's freedom achieves its completion in the concept of active eschatologism. God together with the man defeats the evil stemming from the meontic principle. The present work looks upon Berdyaev's concept of freedom from the point of view of Christian and...

Šmídek, Martin ; Kohut, Pavel Vojtěch (advisor) ; Sládek, Karel (referee)
Title : Spiritual life of a male laic. Theological and psychological base, social metamorphosis and expectations. Keywords : male spirituality, masculinity, marriage life, gender studies, spiritual theology. Annotation : Spiritual life of a man living in a marriage is explored from various points of view. Studying biblical narratives about the creation of man showed constitutive differences between male and female, as well as their special symmetry connected with life roles. Differences in Jesus' behaviour towards a man or a woman were observed and classified. Notion of "social womb" used in family psychotherapy was generalized to suit the description of a male spiritual life in the context of a marriage and family life. Metamorphosis of a father's status in history was briefly shown and focus was made on contemporary situation. Influences of feminism and gender studies were also explored. Statistical surveys showing significant diminution of Christianity in the Czech Republic lead to the idea of "latent spirituality" which was proposed for the sake of possibility to study the early stages of a male's belief. Examples of feedback loops among biological, psychological and spiritual processes were shown in their positive and negative roles.
