"Power and powerlessness" - Emanuel Rádl on the intellectual's responsibility for a life in polis
Rusová, Nikola ; Schlegelová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Váňová, Miroslava (referee)
The submitted diploma work "Power and Powerlessness" - Emanuel Rádl on the intellectual's responsibility for a life in polis addresses the fundamental questions articulated by the philosophy of one of the most interesting and controversial proponents of Czech philosophical thinking during the first half of the 20th century. The author presents Emanuel Rádl's life and work on the background of the era of laborious formation of a modern society in the independent Czechoslovak Republic, in opposition to the thoughts and approach of the principal polit ical personality and source of inspiration for Czech philosophers of the ment ioned era - T. G. Masaryk. The classical topics of social philosophy, ethics and the philosophy of religion, which have traditionally occupied a dominant place in Czech thinking, resonate in E. Rádl's interpretation with the dramatic events of modern European history, go beyond the scope of local philosophising to culminate in the tragic discourse on the intellectual's responsibility towards the polis when the values of European humanistic heritage are threatened, and in reflection on philosophy's power and powerlessness when faced with the menace of fascism.

Philosophy of Jaroslava Pešková
Rybák, David ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Krámský, David (referee) ; Schlegelová, Jaroslava (referee)
Our main theme in this work is the philosophical thinking of Jaroslava Pešková, one of the most important Czech philosophers. The problem, which we start with, is the situation of marxist philosophy in 50th and 60th of the 20th century and the position of Jaroslava Pešková in this period and in the Czech philosophy in general. Instead of summation of all the subject in her texts, we rather want to realize the "deep exploration" of the philosophical basis, from which Jaroslava Pešková thinks, and which is not visible at first sight, even for readers familiar with philosophy. This philosophical ground we see in the concept of human being, which is not only in the worldly relations (economical, sociological, political, juridical, psychological, biological etc. etc.), but has a relation to all of these relations. To this structure and its philosophical ground we are trying to take an acccss and to make it visible in our probes into the key themes of Jaroslava Pešková's thinking. The philosophical and ideological movement from marxist to phenomenological philosophy wasn't thematized by marxist thinkers such as Jiří Pešek, Jaroslava Pešková or Karel Kosík. Also this lap we are trying to fill.
Sexual abuse of handicap people
Novotná, Jarmila ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Schlegelová, Jaroslava (referee) ; Šturzová, Jana (referee)
It should be noted that the differences that would characterize an individual's sexuality with disabilities, we know almost nothing or very little more. We do not know how many disabled living in the Czech Republic. These data are monitored and they were not in earlier times, ie certainly not since the First Republic of Czechoslovakia. We do not know so many of our citizens are discriminated against by the inadequacy of their sexuality, parenthood and partnership, and it estimates are really just talking about the abuse and mistreatment of disabled citizens in the Czech families and institutions. It is assumed that the portion of disability seated in a wheelchair because of spinal cord lesions trauma, congenital or acquired diseases in the Czech Republic is about 10,000 people. Annually, an accident, there is increasing around 400 more per year. This number is still increasing rapidly mainly due to accidents on the roads. Philosophy has a bias to detect and since its foundation linked to the Greek life responsibility. Therefore, philosophy of education can not ignore the fact of teaching such as problem "Clarity", "guilt and punishment", "custom and habit", "Reproduction and the merger, up to date? "School situation " ….. My work is inspired by the educational efforts being "small", it's education...
Illess as the opportunity to care and consideration
Kalábová, Helena ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Schlegelová, Jaroslava (referee) ; Sochůrek, Jan (referee)
The study called ILLESS AS THE OPPORTUNITY TO CARE AND CONSIDERATION Is fenomenologically focused on a variety of seeing the world affected by an illness. Bio-psycho-social-spiritual model of illness is generally understood as the integration of the figures concerning body, mind and socially-spiritual conditions. The solution is arranged in a multi-feature attitude to the therapy, involving bodywork and psychotherapy in terms of mindcare aiming to reach recovering changes, respectively metamorphosis. The basis is found in respect to the body-organism as a self-organizing system creating its own world coming from self-relating autopoiesis. Showing respect to patients brings unexpected theoretical and therapeutical options, concerning that issue there is the contraversion of traditional kartezian western thinking with radical contructivism, which as a new-age empirically advenced alternative of scientific positivism is apparently not fully practised in medicine nowadays. Illnes is seen as disaretation-exasperation,disbalance.Treatment in terms of techne on kartezian thesis puts emphasis on total organism rehabilitation but health in terms of physis cannot be brought back anymore.
The time and problem of fleshliness
Jíra, Jaromír ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Schlegelová, Jaroslava (referee)
This thesis " The time and problem of fleshliness" defines the concept of body as alive phenomenon, so called Pexis. This body is non-objective, and specifical nature of this body is its overrun to the surrounding world. This overrun is made by live experience and there is necessarily time process attached to this experience. This text is comparing this body (Pexis) with objective conception of body which we can observe in postmodern society, the text is focused on reasons and effects of this objective conception. There is the conception of body in this text, which can be spotted in many others acctual problems of todays world.
