Neoliberalism - Governmentality or Hegemony?
Rut, Václav ; Franěk, Jakub (advisor) ; Salamon, Janusz (referee)
This thesis deals with theoretical approaches to neoliberalism, with focus on their application in the case of Czech transition to democracy. Neoliberalism is a form of governance that seeks to extend market relations to the whole of society. Both theoretical approaches have common post-structuralist foundations, thanks to which they understand power as an ineradicable part of interhuman relations. The term governmentality comes from the work of Michel Foucault and helps us understand neoliberalism as a complex form of governance, which seeks to transform individual into neoliberal subject - homo oeconomicus. Discoursive theory, presented by the work of Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe, is influenced by some of Foucault's concepts, but radicalizes discourse as such, and connects it with marxist notion of hegemony. Neoliberalism is then understood as a hegemonic project which seeks to contain discoursive totality. In the analytical section of the thesis neoliberal discourse is illustrated on public speeches of the two most prominent political figures of Czech politics of the 1990s, former prime minister Václav Klaus and former president Václav Havel. What is illustrated on these speeches is the emergence of Czech neoliberalism and also the advantages and limits of both theoretical approaches to...

The chosen agile methodologies in practical use
Růt, Václav ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Pour, Lukáš (referee)
The thesis focuses on concrete application of the selected agile methodologies on the designed new software development methodology in the company Firma 2.0. The theoretical section briefly characterizes agile methodologies in general and then focuses on their representative sample, and thus Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and LeSS and the DevOps movement, which build a framework for the practical section. The selected components, which are used in the second part, are emphasized. Importantly, all of the methodologies are based on the agile manifesto and thanks to that are mutually combinable. The practical section introduces the company Firmy 2.0 together with its existing software development methodology, which is currently insufficient. The shortages are described as bottlenecks of the methodology itself as well as issues of process management of the company. The newly designed software methodology eliminates those drawbacks and integrates new elements and terminology in order to better correspond with the current processes in the company. The main contribution of the thesis is seen in the new design of software development methodology for a small company, which can also be potentially used outside of the company Firma 2.0, associated with a sound theoretical background.
Solution of internal communication and cooperation with IT support
Růt, Václav ; Kunstová, Renáta (advisor) ; Fortinová, Jana (referee)
The thesis focuses on internal communication and cooperation within a small company. The theoretical knowledge is applied on the company Firma 2.0. The current status is analyzed and thanks to questionnaire survey the main flaws of the present solution of internal communication and cooperation are identified. Currently, Firma 2.0 uses few decentralized applications that are becoming insufficient due to the trend of enlarging size of the company. That is why a new centralized solution is offered, which will be developed tailor-made for the company. The base of documentation is enclosed and reflects the requirements of the company. Application is module-made and is possible to use in small and middle-sized companies. This is the reason why it will enlarge the present portfolio of already offered application of Firma 2.0.
