Brewing beer in home conditions

The thesis compares the conditions of home and industrial beer production. The introduction familiarizes the reader with basic concepts and the process of beer production. The next section compares the brewing methods of infusion and decoction. The final part of the thesis processes the data collected and proposes changes to the procedure of beer brewing at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Brno University of Technology.
The Concept of General Education

The thesis is based on an analysis of the term general education, aiming at its specific conception. It provides an overview of historical conceptions of general education, distinguishing between the perspective of educational institutions, which is primarily focused on the minimum basis of education, common to all members of a particular society, and the idea of the term, pointing to the omnitude of knowledge and orienting the ways of apprehending it. It regards general education as a network of interconnections and relations between findings and examines its significance as opposed to vocational education, its influence on the holistic formation of a person, its importance for personal development and the formation of a person's particular life during the course of life. It deals with general education in the perspective of educational content, individual and social needs and draws attention to the importance of general education in the framework of contemporary pedagogical discourse and reform modifications. Teacher's concept of his Role Expectations

Different expectations are placed towards teacher in his professional role. Pupils, their parents, superiors, colleagues, experts, representatives of the school system and society in general are those who place them. Teacher shapes his professional identity based on his personal beliefs and pedagogical ideals, influenced by practical experience, and also is largely influenced by professional relationships with these entities and their role-imposed expectations. His professional identity is largely intertwined with his personal identity, both demands and benefits of the profession are experienced by teacher also on a his personal level. His own conception of the role is largely in line with societal expectations, he feels to be representative of the societal ideals. His role is defined so broadly and universally, so it can be viewed relatively individually, but its conceptions may vary among different entities and it may become the cause of conflicts. Teacher tries to prevent them by the quality of his work and his personal attitudes. Teacher develops educational relationship with pupils, but in the same time it depends very much on the understanding of the pupils in their own reality.
