Evaluation of the Financial Situation of the Selected Private Corporation and Proposals to its Improvement

The aim of this bachelor thesis is the evaluation of the financial situation of ELPIK the company during the years of 2012 – 2016 with using strategic and financial analysis methods. The first part of this bachelor thesis deals with the theoretical basis, which serves as a basis for the analysis of given analyzes. The second part of the thesis is focused on the calculation of financial analysis and the elaboration of strategic analyzes. In the last part, suggestions are made that are based on the analyzes carried out and should lead to an improvement of the financial situation of the company.

Above all, improving competitiveness and consolidate its position as the market using modern information technology.

Smart Simulator of Resistive Sensors for Life-Cycle Tests

The document is made as an operating item at evaluating of life tests for connected equipments. There is set of bookcases, thanks to them we can use the equipment simply. The digital potenciometer is used like a stimulator of resistance sensor in this equipment. The equipment is able to communicate with PC. The mikrocontroler ATmega324p is the most important part of the equipment.

Wireless water level sensors

The thesis deals with both scheme and its implementation of water-level metering apparatus. This data are send wireless into 500 m distant station. Potential ways of solution are gradually studied and final design suggested. Detailed implementation methods are described in the following section. Ultrasonic sensors are employed for level measurement and controlling element is processor ATmega162, data are transmitted by transceiver RC1280HP. Apparatus is suggested with a view to the lowest power consumption considering it will be supplied only with a accumulator. Solving of accepting station is not a part of the thesis. Functional tested sample is understated in the execution section.

Commodity price risk hedging

The thesis presents and applies modern theory of hedging. It determines optimal hedging strategies for Strabucks and GlencoreXstrata corporations on coffee bean and high-grade copper markets. Through these two case studies the theoretical models are tested and assessed based on their relevance to business needs.

Czech banking in the European context

The subject of this research is the current Czech banking sector, respectively two of its chosen representatives Česká spořitelna and Komerční banka. These financial institutions are compared with basic economic indicators, with their parent banks Erste Group and Société Générale. The subject of the analysis, which is performed with emphasis on the comparison of parent and subsidiary companies, is the level of capital adequacy, return on equity, return on assets and loan to deposit ratio. The results of this investigation are put into context with the historical, political, regulatory and macroeconomic development. From the identified relationships is obvious higher production rate and economic stability of "Czech" banks, but consolidated results for the entire group do not have serious systemic problems in their functioning.

Hydraulická štípačka dřeva - koncepční řešení

This thesis provides a comprehensive overview of different concepts of currently produced hydraulic log splitters. It analyses the most important functional units, their structures, the principles of auxiliary mechanisms that facilitate work and improve safety. Log splitters are classified and evaluated according to the most important criteria. The thesis presents different ways to drive log splitters with an emphasis on the efficiency of their use. Thanks to the possibility to control the operating performance, speed is increased while maintaining high cutting forces. Conclusion of the thesis contains draft of author's basic hydraulic, strength and operational parameters calculations.

Position of BRIC countries on selected international commodity markets

The bachelor thesis analyzes position of BRIC countries on international commodity markets with coffee, natural gas, gold, coal and iron ore in context with recent development of their economies. International economics theory is applied to put their global stance and engagement in international trade under scrutiny. Involvement in regional integrations is also briefly discussed. Brazil is key supplier of coffee to global markets and Russia enjoys prominent position in production of natural gas, whereas Indian demand moves the gold market. Chinese demand is fundamental for development of trade with coal and iron ore. Further in the paper the ability to influence market price of given commodities by the countries is analyzed and humble attempts of modest future development predictions are made.

Vývoj automobilových závodů Tatra v období normalizace

This bachelor thesis is focused on the development of Kopřivnice car company in normalization period. In the first part of my work I completed history of Tatra company from begin to primary researched period, this in the context of economic and political situation of this period. The second part specifically analyzes the car factory during the seventies. Especially the capital construction, which was started after decision to lead Tatra into the program of multilateral international specialization of the COMECON countries, results and competitiveness of cars compare to production in the west part of the World. The eim of my thesis is to determine factors, which influenced progress in researched period both at national and international level.
