American citation styles

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou nejvyužívanějších citačních stylů v prostředí USA. V úvodní kapitole se krátce pojednává o problémech spjatých s citacemi obecně. Hlavní část práce se věnuje analýze tří nejvyužívanějších amerických citačních stylů (Citační styl MLA, Citační styl APA, Chicagský citační styl). U každého citačního stylu jsou nejprve uvedeny obecné informace týkající se instituce nebo organizace, v rámci které byl styl vypracován. Následuje rozbor způsobů citací umístěných v textu, jenž je zakončen příklady záznamů úplných bibliografických záznamů čtyř druhů dokumentu (tištěná monografie, článek, článek z elektronické databáze a webová stránka nebo webové sídlo). V závěrečné kapitole jsou tito tři reprezentanti porovnáni se současnou mezinárodní normou ISO 690 a ISO 690-2. Zároveň jsou v této kapitole porovnáni s posledními veřejně dostupnými návrhy revizí těchto norem. V závěru celé práce jsou zhodnoceny veškeré získané poznatky týkající se tématu amerických citačních stylů a jejich porovnání s mezinárodními normami ISO 690 a ISO 690-2.

Natural language in web-based search engines

This study is focused on the natural language exploitation in the search engines of the specific web environment. This paper points out the multideparmental character of the problematic and interlink the basic approaches from linguistic, psychology, cognitive science, information science and neuropsychology to create more complex image of the problematic. Closer attention is given to the human as the impetus of the development and as the primary user of such search engines. Human information system is presented as model for the better user friendly information processing system. The character of the paper is fully theoretical and should give the theoretical background for further research. As the result of the research is recommended focus on the fully visual approach in the development with the exploitation of knowledges about HIS.

Migration of health care workers

This bachelor thesis analyses issues of migration of medical staff members. The aim of this study is to identify the causes of migration and migration turnover in 2012. In theoretical part of this study is described general issues of migration and evolution of public health in Czech Republic after 1989. Further in the study is described remuneration of medical staff members. Practical part focuses on legislation related to this issue including all the necessary papers. This study shows as well potential number of migrants, its structure in 2012 and destinations. The study denies all thesis about shortage of medical staff members in Czech Republic and insufficient qualification of incoming medical staff members. Data for this study were collected from relevant literature and public statistics. This study is exceptional by its narrow concentration on 3 concrete professions and analyzed turnover were never systematically described by any institution in Czech Republic.

Analysis of innovation potential of the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis is engaged in the companies' innovation and their support from the stuctural funds. Its aim is to analyse impacts of support on the competitiveness of companies who implemented the innovative projects cofinanced by OPPP (programme Innovation). The general part is focused on basic concepts of innovation, their types and relationship with the companies' competitiveness. Then the study attempts to approach the actual conception of the innovation policy of the European Union and to present tools of this policy, especially OPPP. The practical part attends to analyse the indicators of competitiveness of supported companies in comparison to companies in the same industry and sector. Consequently, it evaluates the supports' effectiveness of companies groups with the biggest growth of competitiveness. In conclusion, the concrete example illustrates the way that a company can increase its competitiveness on the market thanks to innovation financed by the programme Innovation.
