Graphics Scene Visualization Using Shadow Maps
Plachý, Tomáš ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is focused on studying shadow generating techniques in graphics applications with main focus on shadow map techniques. The thesis includes implementation of improvement for shadow map technique in demonstration application and comparing shadowing techniques together.
The effect of proteins on friction of artificial articular cartilage
Plachý, Tomáš ; Nečas, David (referee) ; Rebenda, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the composition of synovial fluid on the coefficient of friction of artificial cartilage. The effect of protein concentration and their combination with other components of synovial fluid on the coefficient of friction of CD hydrogels simulating artificial cartilage is observed. All experiments were performed at a constant load of 10 N, speed 10 mm / s, temperature 37 ° C. In experiments investigating the effect of a combination of hyaluronic acid and phospholipids together with proteins, concentrations corresponding to a healthy individual were used. In experiments where the effect of the proteins themselves and their own combinations was investigated, concentrations corresponding to both a healthy individual and patients with advanced osteoarthritis or patients with aseptic release of the prosthesis were used. The work shows that when using the proteins alone, or their combination, there is a decrease in concentration of friction coefficient with increasing concentration. However, if hyaluronic acid alone or phospholipids alone is added to the protein, the coefficient of friction increases. The reduction occurs only after the addition of the combination of acid and phospholipid.
GIS Application Tool for Mobile Platforms
Plachý, Tomáš ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Hrubý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design and implement a GIS tool for mobile devices. The beginning of the thesis informs about the theoretical background of GIS and mapping. Subsequently, the thesis deals with the concept of a mobile mapping tool. The thesis describes the architecture and processes within the tool, as well as some details regarding its implementation. A mapping of a selected geographical location and a protocol summarising the mapping are also included within the thesis.
Mobile App for Making Challenges and Taking Part in Them
Plachý, Tomáš ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problematics of designing, implementing and testing of mobile application for operationg systems iOS and Android.     The main work of this thesis is development of an application, which allows its users to create challenges and invite their friends to participate in them. Users can also watch the progress of other participants in a challenge, which can give themselve more motivation to complete the challenge.   The application was designed and developed with focus on opinions of its users. I have started by developing a prototype in order to find out, which functions do the users find the most crucial. Thereafter I created the first official version, which was subsequently iteratively improved with regard to feedback from testers.
Detached house, Debolin
Plachý, Tomáš ; Bečkovská, Tereza (referee) ; Bečkovský, David (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis topic is a project of a detached house. The house is designed as two storey basementless wooden building with a pitched roof. The 5 bedrooms layout fulfills the design for 4-5 family members. The entrance is situated in the northwest part of the house. From which we get into the hall of which is open to the kitchen and living room, staircase room, utility room, WC and garage for one car, followed by the workroom. On the second floor there are two children's bedrooms, bathroom, WC and livingroom. All of the bedrooms are enterable form the hall and have southern view. It is a wooden building of large-size panels NOVATOP. The roof is supported by NOVATOP.
Metody pro shlukování a vyhledávání v obrazových datech z elektronových mikroskopů
Plachý, Tomáš ; Hříbek, David (referee) ; Čadík, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problem of clustering images from electron microscopy. These images can be clustered by visual similarity or by metadata, which describe the settings of the microscope. The goal of this thesis is to compare these two clustering approaches and to explore the possibility of utilizing clustering to split a set of pictures into two parts - one containing correct pictures and the other containing pictures which capture an error during automatized work of an electron microscope. Conclusion of this thesis is that visual differences and differences in metadata between correct and errorous images from electron microscopy are so small, that they cannot be distinguished by unsupervised clustering techniques. However, a positive contribution of this work is demonstration of usability of the methods chosen in this thesis for clustering images into groups corresponding with different phases of work of the microscope, which will make the manual analysis of these pictures easier.
