Influence of aging of concrete on the dynamic response of structures
Fischer, Ondřej ; Pirner, Miroš
Downtrend of the fundamental natural frequency of a structure with time, detected by periodical diagnostic in situ measurements, can signal damage, starting anywhere in the structure, or the progressing degradation of its material. The influence of aging (creep) of concrete on E-modulus is examined in the paper, using the data found on a real chimney during the first 7 years of its existence. An attempt to take the uncertainty of the measured input data for the prognosis of the future behaviour of the structure into account with the use of the SBRA method, is given.
Aeroelastický model s Froudeovým číslem a bez něho
Pirner, Miroš ; Fischer, Ondřej ; Urushadze, Shota
The article presents some problems related to experimental verification of footbridge vibrations excited by wind and pedestrian loads on models with and without the Froude number.
Použití pasivního tlumiče pro potlačení pohybů lávky
Pirner, Miroš ; Urushadze, Shota
This paper describes the types of footbridges which theoretical and physical models are solved. The highly sensitivity to dynamic load is decreased due to ball vibration absorber or due to liquid damper. Effectiveness comparison of the two types of dampers is recommended.
Experimentally obtained values and their elaboration using SBRA-method
Pirner, Miroš
The article is aimed to inform about the knowledge accumulated in the field of dynamic experiments and identification of condition of concrete bridges, attention is primarily given to the method of Simulation Based Reliability Assessment (SBRA-method). The second part informs about application of this method in the field of aerodynamics of civil engineering structures.
Transformation models for dynamic promblems
Pirner, Miroš
The present paper points out the relationship "load-loadinf effects" of building structures from the point of view of applied calculation models.
Experimentální studie-Vyloučení nadměrných vibrací kapalinovým tlumičem
Pirner, Miroš ; Urushadze, Shota
The new type of passive tuned liquid damper (TLD), which relies on the motion of liquid inside a movable rectangular tank with two degrees of freedom (horizontal displacement and rotation). The authors study the influence of vessel horizontal motion of and rotation on the damping of the vertical and horizontal vibrations of the footbridges.
Reliability assessment of CAMASUC method
Pirner, Miroš ; Urushadze, Shota
The ChAnge of MOde SUrface Curvature - CAMOSUC - was applied to the identification of the imperfection of a structure and its location about 1990, as stated by the authors of the method.
Dynamics of a spherical vibration absorber
Náprstek, Jiří ; Pirner, Miroš
Wind excited vibrations of slender structures can be reduced using assive vibration absorbers. If there is available only a limited vrtical space to install such a device, a spherical type of absorber can be recommended.
Interaction of a PVC-bearing with a bridge structure
Náprstek, Jiří ; Pirner, Miroš ; Fischer, Cyril
Long-term observation of bridges supported by bearings made of syntheticmaterials reveals a steady horizontal deformation increase of theseelements. This process can be very dangerous for the bridge as a whole.
The SBRA method as the powerful technique for probabilistic designin aerodynamics and aeroelasticity of civil engineering structures
Pirner, Miroš
In the area of aerodynamics and aeroelasticity the method SBRAis very profitable, it fulfils all requirements of designer fordetermination of the response to the loadings and calculation ofthe probability of failure.
