Pazlarová, Magdaléna ; Kratochvílová, Dana (advisor) ; Čermák, Petr (referee)
(in English) This master's thesis's objective is to analyze a few selected examples of Spanish verbal humor and apply two theories explaining their humorous effect during their analysis. The used theories are two. The first is Attardo's theory about humorous metaphors, and the second is Coulson's theory about frame-shifting. Both are explained in detail in the first part of the paper, including other aspects connected to them. The second part of the paper consists of the aforementioned examples of Spanish verbal humor. These authentic examples are analyzed using the theories mentioned previously in the paper, and their humorous mechanism is explained using these methods.

Pazlarová, Magdaléna ; Mudrochová, Radka (advisor) ; Janišová, Míla (referee)
The bachelor's thesis aims to analyse anglicisms used in gastronomy in current Québec French of the students of Université de Montréal in Canada. The theory consists of a short chapter on the geography of Québec and its language situation. It describes the history of French in the Québec territory, the linguistic politics and the language laws. The lexicological particularities of the current Québec French are taken in consideration as well, especially with focus on the phenomena of anglicisms and language borrowings. The practical part of the thesis researches the use of carefully chosen twenty anglicisms amongst the students. The online questionnaire was answered by almost 400 students. Its results seem to be showing that in majority of the cases, the anglicisms were used more often than their French counterparts.
