Design and construction of the drive unit for universal tips measurement micropositioning system
Zeman, Pavel ; Havlíček, Tomáš (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
This work deals with design and construction of the drive unit for universal tips measurement micropositioning system. Measurement system can be used for measuring parameters of structures as thick film layers and thin film layers. The parameters of substrate will be measured by measuring tips. These tips must be fixed on target position by using stepper motors with high accuracy. For movement of substrate will be used two direct-current motors. Position of this substrate is scanned in two axes by two optical CCD chips. This work contains the proposal of software for all used microcontrollers. Activity of system is controlled by certain serial bus.
SENT to SPI converter
Mikulášek, Petr ; Bohrn, Marek (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
This work deal with description of the SENT bus as defined in SAE-J2716 and its conversion to the SPI bus. In the first part there is brief introduction to both buses functionality and then its focused on the converter design. It defines the communication protocol used for the SPI communication, describes complete design of the converter hardware and it deal with the firmware in the last part of the document.
Control modul of the biaxial cartesian manupulator for PLC S7-1200
Hofman, Miroslav ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of module for control of biaxial cartesian manipulator. Control module recieves signals STEP and DIR from PLC - these signals can have frequency up to 100 kHz. They are processed by the module and send to inputs of drivers, which control motors of biaxial manipulator. Both axis of manipulator are driven simultaneously. PLC is not able to manage this process without this module. Adjusted parameters are displayed on LCD display. Control module is disturbance-resistant. All signals are isolated by fast optocouplers, which guarantee minimum distortion of signals. Data are processed by microprocessor ATXMEGA. Program of microprocessor is written in the C language. It is possible to switch module to NPN or PNP logic and it is also possible to select output voltage 5 or 24 V according to the type and adjustment of used driver for motor control.
Electronic load
Škotnár, Martin ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with electronic load design. In the beginning of the thesis, the necessary theory for understanding the basic properties and principles of electronic loads is described. Current control is provided by a touch screen and a microprocessor. The work presents a detailed design procedure in terms of hardware and testing, as well as a printed circuit board design procedure. The result of the work is a fully functional electronic load. The main use consists in testing equipment such as power supplies and accumulators.
Route trajectory planning for autonomous rovers guided by GPS signal
Rára, Michael ; Žilka, Martin (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to describe developed algorithms in path planning problems for autonomous rovers. The reader will be introduced with technology of GNSS neccessary for right function of the algorithms. Main part of the text is focused on three different path planning algorithms which can be used for waypoint crossing, field coverage and path planning trajectory in bordered zone with static obstacles.
Controller for chemical device
Janek, Jakub ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Fujcik, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the theoretical analysis of measuring physical quantities using sensors and the design of a measurement unit for physical quantity measurements. It also addresses the hardware design of a measurement station, communication with the user interface, and data visualization in a web environment.
Picture generation using path tracing
Áč, Ondřej ; Dvořák, Vojtěch (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problematics of computer-generated imagery using path tracing. The goal of this work is to create interactive computer program, which allows editing and rendering of photorealistic images of various scenes in real time. The work presents the concept of rendering equation, along with its known solutions, in the theoretical part of the work. Thesis describes in detail the solution using path tracing, based on the Monte Carlo integration technique, along with the benefits, it provides compared to the other techniques. Several hardware and software optimizations are then presented. Practical part of the work focuses on analysis of C++ source code and compiled assembly code whilst using hardware specific SIMD optimizations. Mandatory part of work is also the demonstration of program’s functionality, along with the measurements of achieved performance gains using manual optimizations.
Soft-switching Methods and Optimization of Output Stage of MOSFET Driver
Trojan, Vladimír ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with design and comparison of optimization methods for the circuit of output stage of the MOSFET gate driver, in order to reduce voltage swing induced on the parasitic series inductance of output terminals of the MOSFET gate driver package. The proposed optimization methods are implemented on-chip and integrated into an SOIC-16 package. Implemented test structures are then mounted on test PCB, which is designed as part of the thesis. The real parameters of the proposed optimization methods are then determined using the measurement setup. The design of the optimization methods was carried out in Cadence Virtuoso environment and the test PCB was designed using the Autodesk EAGLE program.
Design of power supply for security system
Šmíd, Marek ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
This thesis is focused on switching power supply selection for alarm system ASSET. It describes eligible types of convertors for this specific application. It describes general design steps also. It describes particular design of chosen convertor, its simulation, construction and measuring.
Proprietary communication protocol for data transfer between FPGA and PC
Beneš, David ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Dvořák, Vojtěch (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a communication protocol which allows for data transfer between a PC and an FPGA. The designed protocol supports functions such as ´write´, ´read´ and ´write with a confirmation´ with a memory. Another supported function is autonomous transfer of telemetry data from an FPGA to a PC. Described in the theoretical part of the thesis, is the communication channel that is used for packet transfer. In the practical part are defined the packets and the protocol is implemented on PC in the form of a library and as a module on FPGA.
