Adult Education and Social Change. Analysis of Interdependence and Relationship between Changes in Society and Education

Vše se mění. Lidská společnost není a nikdy v historii nebyla stabilní a rigidní strukturou. Naopak je strukturou dynamickou, jež se neustále vyvíjí a mění. Svět se stává stále více a více komplexním a komplikovaným. Můžeme sledovat rychlé a zásadní změny ve všech oblastech života člověka. Často se říká, že právě rychlost, diskontinuita či turbulence jsou hlavními charakteristikami současného světa a společnosti. Cílem mé práce je popsat, jak tyto změny mohou souviset s procesy vzdělávání a učení. Nakolik jsou tyto procesy závislé na sociálních změnách a naopak zda mohou být nástrojem, který další změny přináší. Na problematiku vzájemných závislostí a interdependencí mezi vzděláváním dospělých a sociálními změnami se snažím pohlížet z různých úhlů pohledu. Při zkoumání zvolené problematiky se opírám především o analýzu a komparaci aktuálních politických dokumentů týkajících se této problematiky a teoretičtěji a většinou výrazně kritičtěji zaměřených odborných andragogických, sociologických či pedagogických pramenů. Disertační práce vychází z charakteristiky sociální změny a teorií vývoje společnosti a jejích transformací. Looking into and Evaluation Quallity, Efficiency and Effects of Further Education A thesis centers upon description and comparison of methods that gain a feedback in the field of the quality of further education. It considers both institutions providing further education and institutions/organisations (e.g. schools, offices of public administration) representing source of participants of further education courses. A theoretical part the thesis compares well known methods reporting on the quality and effectivity of further education in a view of both a provider and a customer. A research aims for an analysis of gaining a feedback in the field of further education from 50 providing institutions and 340 institutions/organizations in a role of a customer. Those 340 institutions/organizations include 32 offices of public administrative and another 308 publicly figuring organizations (e.g. schools). This part of the thesis also presents positives and negatives of chosen methods. A conclusion of the thesis summarizes findings and provides recommendations for both surveyed groups.

Education of adults: approach of Polish andragogues

The dissertation work called Education of Adults: Approach of Polish Andragogues, presents the problems of development of the adults education. Those are shown on the example of a country bordering on the Czech Republic - Poland. The work focuses our attention to presentation of theoretical knowledge from the sphere of the education of adults during historical events in 19th & 21th century. By means of the interpretation of views and ideas of education of adults given by pioneers of Polish andragogy, the work makes meeting a number of big names in this field possible. It is a rich and valuable source of information and their influence on the formation and development of the basis of andragogy. Also their participation in establishing and governing public education institutions, theoretical and scientific activities, building traditions have continued up to the present. A part of the work are supplements showing a clearly arranged system of education in Poland. Here we can also find university degrees, annotations of chosen periodicals, a complete list of names of edited titles (1994 - 2006) of the edition Library of Education of Adults.
