Three Meetings with Literature
Fidlerová, Klára ; Provazník, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kasíková, Hana (referee)
The core of this work is the analysis and evalutaion of the drama methods which were used in three all-day workshops based on three different types of work with a piece of literature and performed with the group of secondary school students with little or no experience in drama education. Independent chapters deal with two essential determiners of such kinds of drama activities, first with the characteristics of the group that took part in the workshops and second with the choice and analysis of the applied literary texts. The work also contains a summary of the conclusions which have arisen from the practical part of the bachelor project, represented here with the thorough layouts of the lessons, and a reflection of the main goal, to motivate the students to read the particular works of literature.
Poetical Evening for the Little Ones
Jedličková, Klára ; Provazník, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Martínková, Nina (referee)
My bachelor thesis is based on the description of my project. I cooperated with high school students, who were also attendants of a literary-dramatic course at an elementary school of arts. My intention was to work with dramatic reading (recitation). We finally directed ourselves from a poetical evening for adults to a brand new target group, children in nurseries. After a complicated journey in search of the most appropriate texts for our performance we finally got to the folklore fairy-tales and rhymes collected and written up by Karel Jaromír Erben. We made a short performance out of them, which was mostly based on narrating fairy-tales to children. We wanted to bring the children near to classic fairy-tales as the basis of our modern and contemporary children´s literature. We also included originally folk rhymes, the basis of nursery rhymes and children´s poetry, which are appreciated by children for their typical rhythm, humour and playfulness. I tried to record the whole process and bring the observations and conclusions that we have reached during the course of time.
The Crowd - Dramatization of a Story by Ray Bradbury
Maděryč, Vojtěch ; Provazník, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vostárek, Karel (referee)
In my work I tried to describe the theatre process with high school students. On the text whose theme has been close to the teenagers for several generations I wanted to show the possibilities of less frequent expression means, which are now accessible thanks to modern technique. This way I tried to develop the aesthetic sensitivity of my students visiting the Basic School of Arts. Each chapter deals with preparing the performance from choosing the text, textual analysis and the theatre process to the specificity of subsequent performances. I always had the characteristic features of pubescence and adolescence on my mind. Respecting always the characteristic features I was choosing the methods and the techniques and their difficulty regarding the personality of every student. The work should be an illustration and maybe even an inspiration how to do theatre work with teenagers developing their personal and social abilities.

Theatre as an Invitation to Interpersonal Aesthetic Communication
Šplíchalová, Kateřina ; Klíma, Miloslav (advisor) ; Mikotová, Zoja (referee) ; Provazník, Jaroslav (referee) ; Valenta, Josef (referee)
THEATRE AS AN INVITATION TO INTERPERSONAL AESTHETIC COMMUNICATION (theatre activities with actors with mental diseases and professionals actors) In this dissertation, I wil start by offering a framework for understanding ?theatre in a specific theatre group? - with actors with mental diseases living in the mental home in general. I will then discuss possible variations of this theme in social interactions (arttherapy, drama education?). After laying these foundations, I will present several lines of research in this area that illustarate how special theatre work with mentally retarded can influence the professional and practical theatre research (interviews with theatre directors, dramaturgist, scenographer and actors). I will also describe a series of pilot performances that focus on principals of activities demonstrating collective theatre searching of mentally disabled persons. My findings demonstarate that theatre representations have a dramatic impact on fantasy, inner life and behaviors of all participants. I attempted to clarify the underlying process that leds actors with mental disess to play with puppets, to make an alternative theatre. I am engaged in a large artistic movement which would like to accomplish an integration of puppet theatre in asylums - hospitals for mentally disabled people. I have been working with mentally disabled actors for eight years already. I have always wanted to enter their imagination and to be able to understand how they think and why. We try to find different ways to come up with a concrete stage solution. It becomes important to understand the rehearsing processes underlying the self-representation of an actor with mental diseas - in terms of how it may impact ones´s own attitudes and behavior, as wel as how it may influence his interactions with others.
Making Theatre with the group of yousters
