The intersection of image and sound

The dissertation thesis is an insight into correlations between contemporary artistic modalities in acoustic and visual realms. It discusses the development dependencies and - through the spectrum of fusions and transformations of these realms - it traces forms of perception, the perceptional "patterns" which stem from synaesthesias. It also relates to practices peculiar to synaesthesia, their method of informational feeding intended for educational institutions, in the centre of which is school. EVALUATION REALITY IN PROJECT AND PROBLEM SOLVING ABSTRACT: In the presented dissertation, the main subject of the research interest was the analysis and the evaluation reflection of the evaluation situations in art education of older pupils at elementary school. Its goal was to contribute to the desired changes in teachers' approach to all the processes taking place in art education; the evaluation processes are essential. The research was designed as an action and pedagogical - based research with focus on the perception of the complexity through the student's eyes during the course as well as the conclusion of short-term and long-term projects and the identification of factors contributing to the student's personality development in the areas of key competencies: work, communication, interaction, social skills and evaluation. The didactic starting point of the research was the method of problematic situations being offered to students to solve. The first area of research interest were the attitudinal orientations of students to the given art projects and the dynamics of the teaching process, influenced by the evaluation situations arising in the classroom during the lesson. Visual aspects of individual recognition in grey parrots

This diploma thesis is focused on research of individual recognition in African grey parrots based on visual cues from stimulus card made from photographs of familiar conspecifics, specifically on testing the significance of selected visual features. Theoretical part of the thesis deals with the general individual recognition ability followed by specifics of this ability in humans, non-human primates and birds including African grey parrot. Great attention is paid specifically to the individual recognition ability in humans, since it is the aim of this thesis to interpret the results of hypotheses testing comparatively. In order to test the hypotheses seven modifications of conspecifics' photographs were created. Experiment employed matching-to- sample as method, subjects were three African grey parrots. Findings were to a large extent in accordance with findings of analogical studies that used human subjects. Results imply, that visual information in African grey parrot is processed holistically, with structure and pigmentation of feathers on the abdominal part of the parrot having most likely the highest significance for successful individual recognition of a familiar conspecific. Influence of Anodization Parameters on Morphology of Titania Nanotubes

Highly ordered titania nanotubes (TNTs) were fabricated via electrochemical anodization of titanium thin film in fluoride and water containing organic electrolyte. Titanium film was sputter-deposited on silicon wafer with thermal silicon dioxide layer. The effects of applied anodization potential, electrolyte composition, anodization time on the formation of TNTs were discussed. The influence of anodization parameters on morphology of TNTs was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The anodization time mainly influenced TNTs length, while applied potential and electrolyte composition strongly affected the morphology of TNTs during the anodization process where the removing of initial barrier layer plays a significant role.

Domestic violence and its prevention My Master's degree thesis is titled "Domestic violence and its prevention". The purpose of my thesis is to present the domestic violence as an important phenomenon which our society contends with. The domestic violence represents a problem which has an essential influence on its victims, it causes substantial effects on their private live, family relationships and also their health. The thesis is composed of eleven chapters, each of them is subdivided into several subchapters. Opening chapters deal with the criminological aspects of the domestic violence, subsequent chapters concern the legal matters regarding the domestic violence. Final chapters attend to the prevention of the domestic violence and analyze the occurrence of the domestic violence in the Czech Republic. Chapter One is introductory and raises basic issues connected with the topic of the domestic violence. The chapter is subdivided into eight subchapters which define the term of the domestic violence, name its signs and tokens, distinguish between particular types and varieties of the domestic violence, describe the domestic violence as a dynamic phenomenon and declare the causes of this phenomenon.
