Research of Methods for Significant Accereation of Parameter Estimation of Simulation Models
Appel, Martin ; Opluštil, Vladimír (referee) ; Křivánek, Václav (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
The thesis focuses on achieving a significant speed-up in the estimation of simulation model parameter values. This is achieved through the appropriate choice of a solver that is computationally less demanding, but at the same time has an acceptable error in the range of parameter values, through the use of distribution of computations on parallel threads, heuristic methods for reducing the space of parameter values, and modification of optimization methods. In this thesis, the research related to the objectives of the thesis is first discussed, then the exact objectives of this thesis are stated and the implementation of each objective is described in separate chapters. The results of this thesis include a tool used to analyze solver choice, an analysis of parallel thread efficiency, a parallel simulation distribution tool, nine modified optimization methods, and a new tool for estimating parameter values. Finally, the results obtained are evaluated.
Design of hybrid/electric aircraft propulsion system
Dardová, Eva ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Opluštil, Vladimír (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of electric and hybrid aircraft propulsion. The first part of the thesis provides a view of the issue from the technological, ecological and legislative point of view. This is followed by a section on research into electric/hybrid drive components and an overview of the component manufacturers. The research section concludes with a market survey of electric/hybrid aircraft in the experimental aircraft, CS-22, CS-LSA and CS-23 categories. This is followed by the actual design of two hybrid and one electric propulsion variants for the CS-LSA category aircraft and evaluation of operational characteristics. Finally, the engine mounting design for the electric variant is outlined.
New Hybrid Methods for Robust and Automated Parameter Estimation of Mechatronic Systems
Najman, Jan ; Štefek, Alexandr (referee) ; Opluštil, Vladimír (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
The thesis deals with the development of a new hybrid optimization algorithm for mechatronic models. The introductory chapters are devoted to a general description of the problem of estimating unknown system parameters, based on the developed mathematical model and measured data. Furthermore, an overview and a brief description of available optimization algorithms that are suitable for solving this type of problem is given. Based on the research study, the specific objectives of the paper are then formulated. In the second part of the thesis, a newly developed set of mechatronic models created using physical modelling tools is described. Subsequently, a comparative test of the speed and success rate of the selected optimization algorithms is performed using these models. Based on the results of this test, the design of a new hybrid algorithm is proposed, which is then tested and compared with the other algorithms. Finally, several new auxiliary functions and tools are presented to detect and analyze improperly designed parameter estimation problems.
Modelling, Optimization and Control Design for Strongly Nonlinear Systems with Discrete Sensors
Bastl, Michal ; Štefek, Alexandr (referee) ; Opluštil, Vladimír (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
The main motivation for this effort was international cooperation on modeling and control design for the stabilization system of the naval satcom antenna. The dissertation focuses on the design of models based on ODE and DAE from the perspective of mechatronic design. It mainly discusses the possibilities for simulation with a fixed step solvers, what is a necessary condition for real-time simulation and other use of modern approaches such as RCP and HIL. Furthermore, the work deals with modeling of friction, which is due to the strongly non-linear properties problematic for numerical models. The last output is the simulation comparison and verification of the possibility of implementing the incremental encoder into the Kalman filter algorithm.

Statistical investigation of CT pulmonary angiography in terms of development and depending on age and sex in District Kroměříž 2006-2010
OPLUŠTIL, Vladimír
CT pulmonary angiography is, together with ventilation-perfusion scintigraphy, the main diagnostic methods for recognition as pulmonary embolism. This is a very dangerous disease, which may end up even in death. Its share of deaths in hospitals, including subsequent ? complications, is around 4%. Therefore, emphasis is placed on early diagnosis. Clinical and laboratory symptoms are unspecific (including D Dimer).(10) Pulmonary embolism after ischaemic heart disease and arterial hypertension the frequency of its occurrence, the third most serious cardiovascular diseases. Cause of death in pulmonary embolism is usually the exhaustion of the right heart, seeking to overcome suddenly increased the resistance of the pulmonary circulation. This is the pulmonary artery or its branches is embolism blood clot-trombus, resulting in the venous system or in the heart, a saddle embolus, patched up a significant part of the lung. The most common place of trombs, which embolizated to the lungs, are deep veins of lower limbs if they are affected by the flebotrombolitis.(16) In addition to the acute embolism are frequent and chronic embolism. They are equally dangerous. By gradually and subtly clog small blood vessels, reduces the total cross-sectional area of open pulmonary artery, which have blood flow, and since the volume of blood must be maintained even in the smaller section of the vascular bed, should permanently increase the blood pressure in a small circulation, which is also dangerous.(16) In my work is the methods of mathematical statistics processed file 1966 CT pulmonary angiogramy (CTPA), carried out on the CT work in Kroměříž in the years 2006-2010. The work is focused on the statistical survey of the influence of age, sex, and the time evolution of the CTPA during that period.
