The knowledge of mothers in care about physiological newborn

Bachelor's essay "The knowledge of mothers in care about physiological newborn" is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes summary of relevant information about first care about newborn after birth and next daily care. It deals with the means of education of mothers on neonatal ward and the role of paeditrician and a paediatric nurse on giving information about taking care of newborn. The practical part of bachelor's essay contains quantitative research. Through a questionnaire there were found ways of self - education of mothers in taking care about newborn as well as the degree and ways of providing information by a health team on neonatal ward and in a surgery of practictal pediatrician. The questions of questionnaire are also focused on evaluation of education by mothers. The research was carried out during a preventive examination of children's hips in a health centre Zelený Pruh. For the analysis there were used 66 questionnaires in total.
The educational process for parents of a newborn with atresia of the esophagus

In our bachelor thesis we deal with the educational process for parents of a newborn baby with atresia of the esophagus. The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part we deal with the issue of atresia of the esophagus, its distribution, diagnosis, treatment, as well as the possible complications and the subsequent post-operative care of a newborn. Furthermore, in this section we cover the basic knowledge related to education and the educational process. In the empirical section determine the level of newborn mother's knowledge. Mothers were hospitalized after surgery for atresia of the esophagus of her daughter at the Clinic of pediatric surgery of the University hospital in Motol. And provide a statistical overview of children with atresia esophagus hospitalized in the period from January 2011 to December 2016. We created the educational process based on mother knowledge. We created the exploratory part using medical documentation and execution of the educational process with the consent of the Faculty hospital in Motol. Importance of enzymatic solutions (Enzymel) in postoperative treatment of upper respiratory tract wounds

Bakalářská práce Význam Enzymelu v pooperačním ošetřování ran v horních cestách dýchacích 1 Abstract Healing surgical wounds in upper respiratory tract is often difficult and painful due to constant presence of food (contamination), movements during talking and continuous presence of aggressive saliva. Most of the surgery clinics use natural solutions especially chamomile to accelerate healing and to remove patient's postoperative problems. Gel Enzymel parodont, which contains proteolytic enzymes and its application limits bacteria production and accelerates healing of the surgical wounds, hasn't been used in a clinical treatment in surgical ORL yet and its effects on healing haven't been studied. The theoretical part of this study is focused on a brief introduction of selected surgical procedures in upper respiratory tract and the corresponding nursing process including a summary of possible complications in the postoperative period. The influence of epilepsy on the activities of daily life for children

The bachelor's thesis on the topic "Influence of epilepsy on the activities of children's daily life" is focused on the daily activities of children with epilepsy. Epilepsy as a disease is a relatively common diagnosis, which to some extent affects the lives not only of patients but also of their immediate surroundings. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out and map how children in the younger school age range to adolescents with epilepsy are limited in everyday activities. In the theoretical part of the work, attention is paid to existing knowledge about the problem of the disease, its causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. Furthermore, the quality of life, where this concept is defined and the definition of the concept of daily activity. To obtain data, a questionnaire of our own creation was created, focusing on daily activities. The questionnaire contains a total of 26 items, to which the respondents answered individual questions, which were then analyzed and evaluated. The empirical part contains goals, working hypotheses, methodology and organization of the survey, characteristics and description of the examined sample. Background: The thesis follows up the comparison of fear of pain, pain intensity, emotional attachment, anxiety and depression in patients with after burn trauma and healthy individuals. Aim of thesis: The aim of the work was to compare the fear of pain in patients with after burn trauma with healthy individuals and to find predictors of pain; to find significant predictors od pain intensity and fear of pain in patients with after burn trauma. It also focuses on the evaluation of the relationships between pain intensity, fear of pain and sociodemographic variables (age, employment, premorbid intellect) and clinical parametrs of burn trauma (extent of burns, lenght of hospital stay, location of burns, psychiatric comorbidities); evaluation of the relationships between pain intensity, fear of pain end emotional attachment in multi regressin in patients and in health controls; evaluation of the relationships between pain intensity, pain fear and anxiety / depression in patients and healthy individuals, as well as evaluation of the relationships between pain intensity, pain fear and health perception in patients and healthy individuals. Awareness of mothers about the care of premature baby

The bachelor's thesis "Mothers' awareness of premature newborn's care" is focused on evaluating the effectiveness of informing new mothers by medical staff. The essay consists of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part I first describe the classification of newborns, the differences between a term and preterm newborn. Afterwards the focus is shifted to the description of individual procedures in the care for the preterm infant which includes the delivery room, the ward, physical therapy, hygienic care and nutrition. Information about sudden infant death syndrome is also included In the empirical part, an analysis of a questionnaire survey of 90 respondents from maternity wards was conducted. I was mainly interested in maternal awareness of preterm infants' care. Research shows that mothers are well informed about care. Nurses need to teach mothers more about the risk of developing SIDS.

This bachelor thesis deals with communication needs from the perspective of patients/clients with visual impairment. Communication is a skill we use in all areas of life. This communication is very important in the relationship between medical staff and patients because it helps us to discover certain information that is essential for us and thus also ensures a correct treatment procedure or good nursing care. The aim of this thesis was to find out which communication aspects are crucial from the point of view of patients/clients with visual impairment, how they perceive communication between them and healthcare professionals and what are the positive and negative aspects in this communication. The respondents who participated in this study were divided into three groups, according to the organization or care home these respondents came from. The total number of respondents was 27, their median age was 67. The selection of these respondents was not intentional, the patients/clients who participated in this survey, were interested in this topic. A semi-structured interview was used to obtain data, the respondents answered individual questions that were then analysed and evaluated.
