Program for Interactive Family-Tree Making

This thesis describes the design and implementation of an application for interactive family-tree making. The application supports importing and exporting data in GEDCOM format, further editing of the data, visualizing the data in family charts and their export. The design of the program is modular. It is implemented using C++ and Qt. The program was released for testing amongst the group of Czech and Slovak genealogists and their opinions on the program were obtained and analysed.

Calendar Application With User Friendly Interface

This thesis describes the process of creating a calendar application featuring an effective and user friendly interface. The first step is an analysis of existing calendar applications on various platforms. Then the calendar data standard is explored, together with good practices for user interface design. The analysis is followed by designing the calendar application. The design process consists of calendar library design, graphical interface design and structural interface design. The resulting application, implemented in C++ using Qt framework, is tested.

Diverzita flóry tramvajových kolejišť

The thesis deals with the research of plants growing in tram tracks. There were selected 5 cities for this research – Brno, Olomouc, Ostrava, Plzeň and Praha. Lists of species and character of tracks were recorded on stops and between them. There were 200 species found in total. 103 of them were native to the Czech Republic. The most frequent ones were for example prostrate knotweed (Polygonum aviculare agg.), wall barley (Hordeum murinum), groundsel (Senecio vulgaris) and prickly lettuce (Lactuca serriola). There were also found 7 endangered species – for example salt sandspurry (Spergularia marina). Statistical analysis also discovered that there was a difference between the flora of particual cities. In every city except Praha there were species typical for the city. For example, buck's-horn plantain (Plantago coronopus) in Plzeň.

Methods: Excerption of the availability literature, processing the regional newspapers that were obtained from the Town library in Prostějov and Town archive in Prostějov, the questionnaires, the materials of the district corporation of the pharmacists and interviews with the local pharmacy keepers. Results: Before 1989 in the Prostějov Region there were 12 pharmacies, 6 in the region and 6 in the city of Prostějov. After the 1989 many new pharmacies were established. Some pharmacies have established the OOVL (a small pharmacy by their "mother pharmacy"), their expansion have begun after the 1998. In the city of Prostějov we can find the pharmacies in the supermarkets too. Some historical pharmacies and some new have disappeared because of their competition. In...

Mapping the opinions of outpatient addiction tretment facility workers on the possible implementation of substitution treatment for methamphetamine addiction

BACKGROUND: Despite the high number of methamphetamine users in the Czech Republic, the treatment is still only abstinent. Pharmacotherapy in terms of substitution treatment is not yet in place. No study has yet been conducted to examine the views of workers working with methamphetamine users on the possibility of introducing substitution treatment for methamphetamine dependence in the Czech Republic. OBJECTIVE: The aim of the practical part was to map the opinions of outpatient staff on the possibility of introducing substitution treatment for methamphetamine dependence. The monitored area included the evaluation of the success of the treatment of methamphetamine dependence in outpatient settings, disparity in working with users by substance use, percentage of methamphetamine users in the facilities, the suitability of drug addiction to methamphetamine for clients of outpatient facilities and position of substitution treatment for methamphetamine, according to respondents. METHOD: The sample was elected on the basis of deliberate targeted selection through the institutions. Bachelor thesis titled Tobacco use in the Czech Republic and legislative measures comprehensively summarized in the theoretical part of tobacco and its history, medical context smoking, the effects of nicotine, describes tobacco addiction and its treatment, and the last part is mainly engaged in tobacco control. Marketing Strategy of a Wellness Facility

The master's thesis is focused on analysing a marketing strategy of a specific wellness facility. The analysis itself and recommendations based on it are both aims of the thesis. The theoretical part consists of three main segments - health and wellness tourism, marketing and the location description. The practical part is introduced by characterizing the facility and its business environment, by using PEST analysis, among others. Marketing mix is then used for the description of the product. Above gained findings are summarized in SWOT analysis. The innovation of the product which took place during writing the thesis is mentioned in one subchapter as well. In the conclusion recommendation for the upcoming period and overall summary are presented. Comparative and analytic methods are used in the master's thesis.
