Robert Darnton's contribution to the use of electronic communication tools in university education

This bachelor's thesis deals with the personalities of the American historian Robert Darnton and his contribution to the use of electronic communication tools in university education. The goal of the thesis is to map the professional career and explain the basic principles of the work of the leading American historian, and at the same time to methodologically test beneficial biographical methods for researching the history of book culture. The research question is: How did Robert Darnton contribute to the use of electronic communication tools in higher education? The theoretical part is based on secondary literature and available electronic sources. Definitions related to the topics Robert Darnton deals with in his work are presented here. Next, the personality of Robert Darnton himself is introduced. The practical part is created by using qualitative research methods in the form of interviews with two representatives of two academic publishing houses in the Czech Republic. The conclusion of the bachelor's thesis forms a summary of the acquired knowledge and provides an answer to the research question. World state: consequences or inevitability

V souvislosti se zvažovaným koncem dosavadní podoby národního státu znovu vyvstává otázka po možnostech vzniku kvalitativně jiného světového uspořádání. Národní stát ustupuje z pozice nej významnějšího subjektu mezinárodních vztahů, čímž předznamenává vznik nové konfigurace mezinárodního prostoru. Hlavní jednotka klasického systému mezinárodních vztahů prochází radikální proměnou a souběžně s její erozí se nutně mění i celková struktura mezinárodních vztahů. Změna postavení národního státu je způsobena komplexními procesy ekonomické, kulturní, politické a sociální globalizace, které nutně narušují dosavadní význam státu. Tyto procesy zároveň způsobují nejen proměnu státu, ale zároveň změnu pozice jednotlivce a skupin a proměnu stavby mezinárodního uspořádání. Mezinárodní systém určovaný transnacionálními vztahy je měněn a doplňován dalšími vazbami a spojeními. Nově uvolněný prostor vyplňovaný mezi- a nadnárodními vztahy vytváří pole, které vyvolává řadu otázek a, jak bude osvětleno v tomto textu, i odpovědí. Modely nového mezinárodního řádu jsou reakcí právě na změnu dosavadního systému vyvolanou globalizačními procesy. Nej významnější se jeví modely neomedievální říše, liberální koncept globálního vládnutí a globální společnosti či kapitalistická Říše Hardta a Negriho. Tyto modely jsou výhonky tématu...
