The thesis is based on 13 oral history interviews the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the health care sector (specifically rehabilitation medicine and physical medicine). Narrators are health care professionals who are part of multidisciplinary rehabilitation care in different positions and can therefore reflect the pandemic from different perspectives. The interviews were recorded in early 2022, after 2 years of living with the pandemic, when strict restrictions were still in place. The thesis provides testimonies of the lived experience of the pandemic among health workers behind the so-called 'frontline', who have not received as much attention in the media. It also compares the experiences of the narrators in the context of Czech realities and compares them with the results of similar international studies on pandemics among health professionals.

Skalická, Františka ; Fabičovic, Klaudia (advisor) ; Novotná, Klára (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Františka Skalická Supervisor: Mgr. Klaudia Fabičovic Consultant: MUDr. Vendula Parmová Title of bachelor thesis: The influence of physiotherapy in irregular menstrual cycle Abstract: Menstrual cycle disorders are nowadays a very common problem for many women. These include dysmenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome, functional female sterility or luteal insufficiency. Their etiology may also be associated with musculoskeletal dysfunction. Luteal insufficiency is considered to be a luteal phase of less than 12 days. This condition may be one of the possible causes of infertility, but studies on this topic are lacking. The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the influence of luteal insufficiency using diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in physiotherapy. Three women with luteal insufficiency underwent individually tailored physiotherapy ongoing for 6 months with the aim of prolonging the luteal phase. The symptothermal method was used to objectify the length of the luteal phase before and after therapy, allowing easy and reliable control of the menstrual cycle and increasing the likelihood of conception through accurate timing of the fertile period. The main 4 pillars of therapy were postural correction, elimination of functional changes in the musculoskeletal system,...

Effect of yoga practice on subjectively perceived medical condition

This bachelor thesis focuses on the influence of yoga on the subjectively perceived health status of practitioners. The theoretical part briefly describes the system of yoga, including its history, the most commonly practiced styles and the eight limbs of yoga. In addition, the theoretical part contains a description of the effects of yoga on the organism of healthy individuals, but also its use in various diagnoses. I also focused on the risks of practicing yoga, including various injuries or pain. Furthermore, I briefly described the possibility of using yoga in physiotherapy and the recommendations for practicing yoga from the perspective of a physiotherapist. In the practical part I processed the results of the questionnaire survey. The effect of practicing yoga on health status was described as positive, however, if the approach is correctly chosen and sufficiently individual. If these recommendations are followed and the yoga is practiced under qualified supervision or after proper training, there may be no adverse effects for practitioners.
