Sport Manager Simulator
Zákutný, Roman ; Novák, Václav (advisor) ; Semecký, Jiří (referee)
The first part of presented work contains a description of the technological structure of the web application - a system for virtual simulation of a sport world controlled by user's active management of a team. The structure is divided into multiple layers - presentation, appliction and database. Use and utilization of particular frameworks on these layers are described in the work. In the second part we examine the implementation of the model used to generate the course of the match taking into account the parameters influenced by the managing abilities of users owning their competing teams. We introduce Markov models, their use in our model, connection between coincidence and observation of the situations and we perform statistical analysis of the results.
Role of arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis and composition of arbuscular mycorrhizal communities among plants from different functional groups
Novák, Václav ; Kohout, Petr (advisor) ; Kolaříková, Zuzana (referee)
Arbuscular mycorrhiza is a type of mutualistic symbiosis between most plant species and fungi from the phylum Glomeromycota. Both partners exchange nutrients. The fungus provides inorganic substances especially phosphorus and receives the products of photosynthesis from the plant. Mycorrhiza also affects plant growth and resistance against pathogens. The composition of AM fungi community is, apart from abiotic factors, also driven by the host plant traits such as photosynthetic type, growth form, life cycle, CSR strategy, N-fixation or mycorrhizal status. The role of mycorrhizae also differs among different plant functional types. This thesis describes the differences in composition and diversity of AM fungal communities among plants with different ecophysiological traits and summarizes the role of mycorrhiza for different plant functional types.
Production of a rotating vessel
Novák, Václav ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
The thesis is concerned with the concept of an rotating vessel, that is a part of cotton candy machine. A drawing is cylindrical shape with circular a hole in the bottom, which is made of austenitic chrome-nickel steel 1.4301 with the thickness 1,5 mm. Due to the production volume 50 000 units per year, the pulling technology without wall thinning was choosen. The process of drawing will be performer in one operation. Due to calculated force, the ZHS 400 hydraulic press with a nominal force of 4 000 kN was chosen.
Logical Representation of Language Structures
Novák, Václav
This thesis is meant as a basis for a semantic annotation manual. The annotation will translate the logical structure of written and spoken speech by a language-independent manner. The basis for this thesis can be found in temporal logic of Mark Steedman and the formalism introduced here elaborates on Patrick Blackburn's hybrid multimodal logic and Dependency Grammar Logic of Geert-Jan Kruijff, although it represents not the level of linguistic meaning but rather the level of logical meaning (content). The main issues discussed in this thesis are input text segmentation into logical units, discourse referents representation, time-spatial representation, the impact of topic-focus articulation on the logical content and the semantic categories needed for the annotation. In the last two chapters a complete discourse example and the annotation of 37 test cases of Jan Hajič are presented.
Effect of Grain Size of Waste Glass on Properties of Alkali Activated Aluminosilicate Composites
Novák, Václav ; Vyšvařil, Martin (referee) ; Bayer, Patrik (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the use of the waste glass with different fineness on alkali - activated composites, mainly based on slag and fly ash. The theoretical part is focused on materials that are most used for alkaline activation - slag, fly ash and their composites with waste glass. The theoretical part also deals with the alkaline activation of composites from these materials and the factors that influences the microstructure and properties of these composites. In the experimental part were prepared composites from slag and fly ash with a waste glass as substitute. These composites then have been examined on mechanical properties and microstructure, also how different fineness of glass influences these properties. Then it will be decided whether it is economically advantageous grinding waste glass to finer fractions
Silence in the Contemporary Roman Liturgy
Novák, Václav ; Tichý, Radek (advisor) ; Kotas, Jan (referee)
Silence in contemporary Roman Catholic liturgy. The thesis studies the phenomenon of silence in contemporary Catholic liturgy of the Roman rite. The first part looks for the semantic field of the term "silence" from the perspective of several disciplines. The second part consists of an analysis of currently used liturgical books of the Roman rite, while the attention is paid to introductory instructions, to rubrics and to liturgical texts as such. Third, synthetic, part follows up with a typology of various types of silence in liturgy. A list of all identified incidences of silence within liturgical books is added and these passages are classified according to the above-mentioned key.
Influence of waste glass in the alkali activated aluminosilicate
Novák, Václav ; Rovnaník, Pavel (referee) ; Bayer, Patrik (advisor)
Theoretical part of this work will be examine the most common materials from which geopolymers are produced and their alkaline activation and properties. In addition, the work will be examine glass itself and alkaline activation of glass. This paper also will be investigate possibilities of making geopolymers from glass or geopolymers with the addition of glass. In the experimental part geopolymers will be made and their basic material will be replaced with part of the glass. The mechanical properties and microstructure of these mixed geopolymers will be examined and how the glass influence the properties of these geopolymers.
An E-mail Client for J2ME Devices
Štefan, Martin ; Machek, Pavel (referee) ; Novák, Václav (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create an application for mobile devices supporting J2ME technology, that is intended for sending and retrieving email messages. Program is able to communicate with remote servers over POP3 and SMTP protocols either by socket, or by HTTP connection. The application can can also send a multipart messages. The attachmets for outgoing messages (audio, image and small video) can be loaded from the device's filesystem as well as those for incoming messages that can be saved there. There is a remote server application operating appropriate HTTP queries as a part of the work. Email addresses for the Recipient field can be loaded from the internal contact list. There can be more than one email account set.
Semantic Network - Manual Annotation and its Evaluation
Novák, Václav ; Hajič, Jan (advisor) ; Peregrin, Jaroslav (referee) ; Štěpánek, Jan (referee)
The Prague Dependency Treebank (PDT) is a valuable resource of linguistic information annotated on several layers. These layers range from shallow to deep and they should contain all the linguistic information about the text. The natural extension is to add a semantic layer suitable as a knowledge base for tasks like question answering, information extraction etc. In this thesis I set up criteria for this representation, explore the possible formalisms for this task and discuss their properties. One of them, Multilayered Extended Semantic Networks (MultiNet), is chosen for further investigation. Its properties are described and an annotation process set up. I discuss some practical modifications of MultiNet for the purpose of manual annotation. MultiNet elements are compared to the elements of the deep linguistic layer of PDT. The tools and problems of the annotation process are presented and initial annotation data evaluated.
PML Visualization
Novák, Michal ; Pajas, Petr (referee) ; Novák, Václav (advisor)
The subject of this work is the application PMLViewer. This application is designed for visualization of files in PML format. It is able to draw dependency and constituency trees described in this format and in addition it offers a possibility to modify visual parameters. These visual changes can be stored in Visual PML format, which is also specified in this work. Furthermore, this application permits the export of displayed trees into various vector and raster image formats.
