Explanation of the sloshing motion in a tank, for a moving tank, for a fixed tank
Mrázek, Michal ; Habán, Vladimír (referee) ; Fialová, Simona (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with mathematical model of sloshing in a tank. Laplace's equation is developed. Boundary conditions for a still rectangular container and for a container under sinusoidal translation are established. Expressions for the free surface elevation and natural frequencies in oscillating tank are determined. Baffles are suggested as a method to minimize the free surface elevation. In the final part, analytical model is compared with numerical solution with overall good agreement.
BIOMECHANICAL STUDY OF EXTERNAL FIXATORS APPLIED TO TIBIA
Mrázek, Michal ; Horyl, Petr (referee) ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
External fixators are used in a treatment of complicated fractures and their properties have a crucial impact on treatment quality. Therefore, this thesis is concerned with a biomechanical study of a bone (tibia) with applied external fixators via strain-stress analysis and their comparison with a state of tibia without applied fixator (physiological state). After creating the volume models of geometry of tibia and seven variants of external axial fixators, the corresponding finite element method (FEM) models are created. The analysis of tibia without applied fixator and tibia with all studied fixators is made for three states of load which correspond to characteristic load states during the first stage of treatment. The strain-stress analysis is made using finite element method. Furthermore, the methods of displacement and rotation evaluation during loading are proposed. One can conclude from the results of the strain-stress analysis how the different variants of fixators prevent the displacement and rotation of the bone during the different load states and the comparisons with the physiological state of bone are made. Bone tissue loading is determined from the distribution and the values of the first and the third principal stresses. Finally, comparing the results of all variants the influence of the fixator length, the gap between the fixation elements near the fracture, the number and the setting of the fixation elements on the fixation properties is analysed.
Strain stress analysis of proximal tibia end with replacement
Tekalová, Soňa ; Mrázek, Michal (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with stress analysis strain proximal end of tibia with total joint replacements. The analysis is done on the basis of deformation characteristics of voltage, through the finite element method (FEM). We have developed two-dimensional models of the proximal end of tibia with tibial components total endoprosthesis (TEP), without loss and bone loss. Geometry model is created based on data obtained from computerized tomography, which were further processed in the program, Rhinoceros 3.0 and SolidWorks 2009th Computational solution was carried out by finite element method in Ansys Workbench 12.0. The model without loss of bone tissue was tested the hypothesis that the deformation is very small and there is no violation of the shank prosthesis. Due to loss of bone tissue is lost support to the tibial pulse in the proximal tibia and by a progressive increase in stress, which can lead to a breach of the shank total joint replacement. The analysis results show that, if the loss of bone tissue, so that the tibial part of the TEP will lose support, there is a crack stem total hip replacement due to stress.
Verification of the original technologies used for art castings
Hřebíček, Lukáš ; Mrázek, Martin (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is describing making of the same art casting by using different foundry technologies/ moulds (ceramic shell mould, several types of plaster moulds including anhydride gypsum and also natural sand mould). In this thesis there is also description of casting the famous piece of bull from “Byci skala” (Bull Rock). The bull was cast into traditional clay mould which is believed to be the original technology. Also the original shape of the bull casting was reconstructed, i.e. a copy of the original bull casting made. As the main achievement of this work is an overview and comparison of several technologies suitable for making art castings.
Adaptive optimal controllers with principles of artificial intelligence
Mrázek, Michal ; Malounek, Petr (referee) ; Pivoňka, Petr (advisor)
Master’s thesis describes adaptive optimal controller design which change parameters of algorithm based on the system information regard for optimal criterion. Generally, the optimal controller solves the problem of minimum states vector. Problems of desired value and steady-state error are solved by variation in optimization algorithm.
Determinants of profitability in banking sector
Mrázek, Martin ; Rod, Aleš (advisor) ; Chytilová, Helena (referee)
This thesis analyzes devolopment of profitabilty and market structure of banking sector in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. Empirical results are consistent with structure-conduct-performance hypothesis, on the other hand efficiency hypothesis seems to be unlikely. These conclusions are furthermore supported by DEA efficiency analysis. Results of non-structural Panzer-Rosse model suggest that during the period under consideration, market outcome was similar to monopolistic competiton. The results of regression analysis reveal that bank-specific variables, share of banking deposits on GDP, GDP growth and interest rates are the main drivers of banking sector profitability.
Assessment of Economical and Social Benefits of Selected Collection Yard
MRÁZEK, Michal
The bachelor thesis is focused on the assessment of economical and social benefits of the collection yard in Klokoty, which is situated in the town of Tábor. The main aim was to identify the costs of all activities in this collection yard during the period of one year. Next aim was to analyze the quantities of each type of waste, that people give back to the collection yard. The there were described ways of waste disposal. Another aim was to determine profits from the sale of waste. Last aim was to evaluate overal situation of collection yard and give some suggestions.
Effectivness of Legislative Novel on Procurement Contracts in Prague
Mrázek, Martin ; Babin, Jan (advisor) ; Svoboda, Miroslav (referee)
This paper is focused on impact of amendment to the Act on public procurement contracts of April 1, 2012 in Prague. Assumption that this legislative change will reduce prices of these contracts was not confirmed, at least in the first year of its application. Regression analysis shows that use of more transparent procedures included in the amendment to the Act would lead to 4 % price decline. But contracts affected by this legal change almost disappeared, probably due to manipulation with tenders. Also number of bidders has significant impact on price.
