Communication Mix of the Company Výtvarný-Shop.cz
Svobodová, Martina ; Mráz, Jaroslav (referee) ; Mráček, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis aims to evaluate the present situation of the communication mix of company, which sells art materials and tools in two stores and e-commerce. In the theoretical section, there is briefly described the marketing mix and one of its components, communication mix, is explained in detail. This issue is closely related to the company and it is outlined in the analytical part, there is also a detailed table inspired by SWOT analysis. Based on the analyzes, in the last part of the thesis there are measures developed to improve marketing communications of Výtvarný-Shop.cz.
Proposal of IS for Sharing Bibliographic Citations and Documents
Mráz, Jaroslav ; Kusala, Jiří (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of an information system for sharing documents and bibliographical citations with the main emphasis put on using a cloud solution. The theoretical part explains the terms related to cloud computing and its application, the importance of citation and methods for the evaluation of information systems. Subsequent chapters of the theoretical part explain why citation is important and what methods are used for the assessment of an information system. The practical part provides an overview of the currently available solutions for developing an implemented information system. Moreover, an outline of the system illustrated via UML diagrams is included.
Using the Cloud Computing in the Educational Process
Mráz, Jaroslav ; Kusala, Jiří (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with a newly created model of utilizing information technologies tools called cloud computing. The theoretical part is devoted to defining the concept of cloud computing and its applications. The practical part focuses on implementing the tools of cloud computing by Microsoft BPOS as a teaching aid in combine study programmes and lifelong courses at the Faculty of Business and Management, Brno University of Technology.
Exctretion of urinary N7 guanine and N3 adenine DNA adducts in mice after inhalation of styrene
Mikeš, Petr ; Mráz, Jaroslav (referee)
Adenine adducts of styrene : 3-(2-hydroxy-1-phenylethyl)adenine (N3αA) and 3-(2-hydroxy-2- phenylethyl) adenine (N3βA), were found in the urine of mice exposed to styrene vapor. Vast majority of styrene is metabolized to styrene -7,8-oxide. This reactive molecule is futher bio transferred either to mandelic and phenylglyoxalic acid or bounds to nucleophilic sites in biomolecules. Adducts of styrene oxide with amino acids contained in proteins and with purine and pyrimidine bases of nucleic acid were observed during in vitro tests. These styrene-7,8-oxide derived adenine adducts, as well as previously identified guanine adducts, 7-(2-hydroxy- 1- phenylethyl)guanine (N7αG) and 7-(2-hydroxy-2-phenylethyl)guanine (N7βG) were quantified by HPLC-ESI-MS2 and the excretion profile during and after repeated exposure to 600 mg.m-3 or 1200 mg m-3 of styrene for 10 consecutive days (6 h/day) was determined. The excretion was dose dependent. Total excreted amount of N3 adenine adducts (N3αA+N3βA) represents 0.8 ×10−5 % of the absorbed dose, while overall sum of N7 guanine adducts (N7αG+N7βG) yields about 1.4 ×10−5 % of the dose. No accumulation of the adducts was observed. Due to rapid depurination of the DNA, the excretion of both N3 adenine and N7 guanine adducts ceased shortly after finishing the exposure. Both N3...
Geoinformatic applications in landscape genetics
Mráz, Jakub ; Hulva, Pavel (advisor) ; Romportl, Dušan (referee)
This Bachelor thesis shows elementary methods used in landscape genetics. Landscape genetics is a combine field of population genetics and landscape ecology. This field of study uses geoinformatic and statistic methods and methods of its mother fields. Here, the genetic methods from population genetics, will not be shown. This thesis is concern by the methods that are applied in study of the population boundaries and connectivity between populations. History and paradigm of both landscape genetics and Geoninformatic methods are also mentioned, for easier understanding of context. Lastly, most methods here are listed with Geoinformatic systems (GIS), which are computer programs, capable of using these methods and apply them on needed projects. Keywords: GIS, Landscape Genetics, Landscape Ecology, Connectivity, Least-cost path, Circuit theory
In-matrix esterification of polar carboxylic acids in urine
Anýžová, Petra ; Mráz, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Feltl, Ladislav (referee)
A set of 15 carboxylic acids of various structural types was used to test a new procedure of esterification of these substances in the urine without previous extraction. The acids were first measured by a reference method without the matrix, and then by a procedure, where lyophilized urine was treated with derivatizing reagent alcohol·HCl, which was then evaporated, the residue dissolved in water, esters extracted into an organic solvent and subsequently determined by GC/FID and GC/MS. The work is mainly focused on 2-hydroxyethyl- and carboxymethyl-mercapturic acids, but the procedure was also tested on di-, tri- and hydroxy-carboxylic acids, known as physiological urinary components or markers of metabolic disorders. Key words: carboxylic acids mecapturic acids freeze-dried urine esterification gas chromatography
The applications of the Human Biomonitoring Method for estimation of exposure and load of the Czech Population and International Comparison
Forysová, Kateřina ; Černá, Milena (advisor) ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mráz, Jaroslav (referee)
Human biomonitoring (HBM) is an important tool for monitoring human exposure to chemical pollutants from the environment and their possible adverse effects on the health of the population. HBM is defined as the monitoring and quantification of environmental chemicals, their metabolites or other changes related to exposure in human body fluids and tissues. The monitored biomarkers in this work are cadmium, mercury, cotinine and metabolites of phthalates. While mercury and cadmium are long-term biomarkers in the Czech Republic, cotinine and phthalate metabolites were determined for the first time. The presented work was a part of the pilot international study DEMOCOPHES, which focused on determining the exposure of increasingly susceptible population groups to the mentioned chemical noxas. In this work, the exposure of Czech children and their mothers living in urban and rural environments and the influence of environmental factors, lifestyle and social status on this burden were monitored. Another aim of the work was to compare the results of mercury and cadmium concentrations from the DEMOCOPHES project with the results obtained within the Health Monitoring System in relation to the population of the population in the Liberec Region in the years 1996 - 2016. The results showed that the levels of Cd...
Morphological disparity and its evolutionary and ecological causes
Mráz, Jakub ; Kleisner, Karel (advisor) ; Tureček, Petr (referee)
Diversity of body shapes of all organisms belongs to the most interesting problems of biology. The explanation of the big number of different forms by the theory of evolution revolutionized biology as a whole. Therefore, the influences of the size of morphological diversity are very important and they are going to be discussed in this thesis. Focusing only on evolutionary and ecological influences at every taxonomical level. The first part of the thesis is going to discuss problems of definitions of several key terms, like diversity, disparity variance and more. Part of the thesis will also be granted to morphometry, as its terminology is necessary for explaining the causes of disparity. Keywords: Morphometry, Disparity, Diversity, Modularity
