Founding in region of Velké Bílovice
Moravčík, Martin ; Masopust, Jan (referee) ; Brdečková, Helena (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis got two parts. In teoretical part I examene geology and geomorfology of region Velké Bílovice. Half of practical part analyse laboratory samples that are taken from Velké Bílovice. I tested samples for physical and index properties and mechanical properties. Second half of practical part is design and assessment of gravity wall by EC 1997. Earth pressures are calculated by ČSN 73 0037. Geological conditions for gravity wall are calcareous clays from examined properties and loess by [5]. Assessment was controled with computer program GEO5.
Modeling and simulation of a hybrid micro grid in PSCAD environment
Moravčík, Martin ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
In the opening part of this master´s thesis there is given concept, description, usage and advantages of micro hybrid grids in comparison to micro grids and there are evolution steps towards hybrid grid. There is also a mention about economics of operation of these grids. In the second part of this thesis there are descriptions of devices that are suitable for usage in micro hybrid grids with emphasis on generators and accumulation possibilities. In the next part of this thesis there is given an approach and description for modeling of various components of hybrid grids in PSCAD environment. In the next part of this thesis there are given simulation results that were conducted on created model. Especially power balance in 24 hour operation of the grid with method for determining suitable size of accumulation and installed capacity of photovoltaics. And next there are showed responses from change of power from photovoltaics, next there is a transition to islanded mode and last there is showed the behavior of converter when the limits of accumulation are reached. In the final part of this thesis there are conclusions, fulfillment of goals of this thesis and possibilities of further study.
Possibilities of Solar Chimney Power Plants
Moravčík, Martin ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Procházka, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis contains teoretical summary of present situation of problems involved in solar chimneys development. In the first chapter there are mathematical methods for describing the functions of solar chimneys in general. It establishes figures for power output, efficiency, speed of flow inside the chimney and figures for desinging solar chimney. In the next chaper there is a division of solar chimneys and it mainly focuses on describing the solar updraft towers and solar floating chimneys. And marginally it focuses on solar downdraft towers. Next there are possibilities how to use principle of solar chimney for air conditioning and ventilation. In the next chapter it describes the use of solar chimneys, with cogeneration, hydrogen production, in cooling towers and chimneys, and there is also fully described the project in Manzanares. In the fifth chapter it describes the economy of the two comparative projects of solar chimneys, which are at the end economically analyzed and assessed. The last chapter is a summary of the objectives of this thesis, and the subsequent approach is described too and at last there is also evaluation of solar chimneys and the conclusion of this thesis.

Global value chains in electronic industry - the case of the Czech Republic
Moravčík, Martin ; Vlčková, Jana (advisor) ; Vošta, Milan (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the activities of global value chains in Czech Republic, with a focus on the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the work explains the term value chain, its origin, function and its impact on selected economic indicators. Types of the processes in the firms and the possibility of relocation on the external subject or abroad is mentioned at the end of this section. The practical part aims to access the activity of the companies in global value chains. Based on the statistic dates, information from various databases and calculations, the paper offers an insight into the situation in selected sectors. Other parts are dedicated to analyzing the opportunities, current trends and overall development of this industry in Czech Republic. The output of the work provides a general look on the concept, how the firms are working in value chains and how are they affecting the electronic industry.
The impact of offshoring on global economy
Moravčík, Martin ; Vlčková, Jana (advisor) ; Kačírková, Eliška (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with overall impacts of relocation of business activities from domestic to host economy. The first, theoretical part is focused on defining the term offshoring, its forms, origin and development in past 50 years. Companies motives for entry into foreign markets are mentioned at the end of the first part. The practical part of thesis analyzes the impact of offshoring on selected areas in selected economies. The final section aims to assess the impacts of offshoring on the global economy and to determine the expected development in the future.
