Práce obsahuje teoretické shrnutí současného stavu řešení problematiky solárních komínů. V první kapitole se soustředí na matematické metody popisu funkce solárního komína obecně, stanovuje vztahy pro výkon, účinnost, rychlost proudění v komíně a vztahy pro návrh solárního komína. V další kapitole je uvedeno rozdělení solárních komínů a soustředí se především na popis solárních vzestupných komínů. Okrajově si všímá také plovoucích a spádových komínů. Dále jsou zde uvedeny možnosti jak využít princip solárního komína ke klimatizaci a větrání. V další kapitole je popsáno využití solárních komínů, s kogenerací, pro výrobu vodíku, v chladících věžích a komínech a také je tu podrobně popsán projekt v Manzanares. Ve páté kapitole je popsána ekonomika provozu pro dva srovnávací projekty solárních komínů, které jsou na konci ekonomicky analyzovány a zhodnoceny. V poslední kapitole je uvedeno shrnutí cílů práce, uveden je také návrh dalšího postupu a nakonec je zde uvedeno také zhodnocení solárních komínů a závěr práce. This thesis contains teoretical summary of present situation of problems involved in solar chimneys development. In the first chapter there are mathematical methods for describing the functions of solar chimneys in general. It establishes figures for power output, efficiency, speed of flow inside the chimney and figures for desinging solar chimney. In the next chaper there is a division of solar chimneys and it mainly focuses on describing the solar updraft towers and solar floating chimneys. And marginally it focuses on solar downdraft towers. Next there are possibilities how to use principle of solar chimney for air conditioning and ventilation. In the next chapter it describes the use of solar chimneys, with cogeneration, hydrogen production, in cooling towers and chimneys, and there is also fully described the project in Manzanares. In the fifth chapter it describes the economy of the two comparative projects of solar chimneys, which are at the end economically analyzed and assessed. The last chapter is a summary of the objectives of this thesis, and the subsequent approach is described too and at last there is also evaluation of solar chimneys and the conclusion of this thesis.
