How does school contribute to development of pupils communication skills?

Communicative competences of pupils are a very substantial part of common knowledge. This work is based on a research, the purpose of which was to find out to what extent various school levels contribute to the development of communicative competences. The theoretical part deals above all with individual types of communication and with speech development (ontogenesis, as well as phylogenesis). The practical part is formed by a research report; the research included the analysis of teaching materials, observation of teaching process and distribution of questionnaires - all respondents were teachers at schools where the research was made, that means two kindergartens and two basic schools. The research showed that all school levels do to some extent contribute to the development of pupils' communicative skills; whereas each level focuses on the skills which are appropriate for the pupils' age and abilities. Evaluation and auto-evaluation in everyday school life

The thesis covers the problem of evaluation and auto-evaluation in schools, and compiles theoretical bases and information concerning this subject. It also presents new insights and attitudes, and suggests a methodical instruction for school's auto- evaluation activity. Auto-evaluation is dealt with as a project. Further, the thesis concerns with planning, organising and controlling the procedure. It focuses on methods, instruments, procedures and defining the roles of individual participants in auto-evaluation process. The autor tries to cover the problem from a wide perspective. The thesis aims to give the schools a clear platform of evaluation and auto-evaluation.

CONTROVERSIAL SYMBOLS Comprehension of the Mening of Symbols by Contemporary Young People Annotation This thesis considers controversial symbols and deals with a conception of this topic in school education. It attempts to involve a rate of knowledge of young people in symbology. It also surveys an approach to this topic in our educational system. The main aim of this thesis is to suggest a suitable model of teaching this topic. I have chosen four symbols:a swastika ( and nazi symbology), a red star with five tips ( and communist symbology), a cross and a skull. These symbols present a topic of a questionary distributed in classes and they are a topic of a school project suggested at the end of this thesis. The personality of a novice teacher and his problems

Ve své diplomové práci jsem se rozhodla zamerit pozornost na problematiku související s uciteli, kterí stojí teprve na zacátku pedagogické dráhy. Postavení ucitele - zacátecníka je dosti komplikované. Pri vstupu do pedagogické praxe musí rešit celou radu problému, na které není vysokoškolským studiem pripraven. Nástup do praxe je tedy obdobím, které je duležité pro procesy hledání a utvárení profesionální identity. Ucitelovo pojetí výuky a zejména první rok ve škole je jednou z kritických fází v profesní dráze pedagoga. Postavení ucitele - zacátecníka je o to složitejší, že je od prvního dne svého pedagogického pusobení plne zodpovedný za výchovu a vzdelávání sverených žáku. Ve vetšine prípadu tedy nelze mluvit o žádném zapracovávání. Položme si tedy otázku: Jaké potíže provází zacínající pedagogy na zacátku jejich pedagogické dráhy? Jsou tyto problémy podrobne rozebrány v dostupné literature, nebo se nekterými zaobíráme príliš povrchne? Mají tyto problémy všichni ucitelé, nebo se potíže liší podle toho, zda ucí žena, ci muž? Na tyto a další otázky budu smerovat celou mou práci.

Diagnostics and Opportunities for Correcting Reading Problems

Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám problematikou špatného čtení. Můj zájem je zaměřen na schopnost či neschopnost naučit se číst běžnými metodami. Problematika špatného čtení zahrnuje problém dyslexie, proto se zabývám i problematikou specifických poruch učení. Pro pochopení příčin špatného čtení a dyslexie je nutné znát problematiku specifických poruch učení jako celku. Specifické poruchy učení jsou relativně častým problémem dětí ve škole. Lze předpokládat, že se s problematikou specifických poruch učení a se špatnými čtenáři ve své praxi setká každý učitel. Velký význam má, aby učitel dokázal zvláštnosti naznačující handicap rozpoznat. Důležité je, aby dokázal obtíže žáka popsat a analyzovat, dokázal dítěti pomoci potíže překonávat a kompenzovat, aby uzpůsobil běžné školní úkoly tempu a možnostem žáka a v neposlední řadě dítě včas doporučil odborným vyšetřením. Oblast čtení jsem si zvolila z důvodu, že dovednost dobře číst je v naší kultuře klíčová pro všechno vzdělání. Bez čtení v mateřském jazyce nelze dosahovat dobrých studijních výsledků v žádném oboru. Na vyšším stupni ke čtení v mateřském jazyce přibývá i četba v jazycích cizích. Dyslexie je i můj problém, dodnes mi studium ztěžují nejrůznější potíže související s dyslexií.

The Preparation and Realization of a Summer Camp

Tématem diplomové práce je "Příprava a realizace tábora." Konkrétně se zabývám přípravou a realizací celotáborové hry (CTH), a to nejen z teoretického hlediska, ale popisuji i konkrétní projekt letního tábora (LT). Zvolila jsem si toto téma, protože se již několik let věnuji organizaci nejrůznějších aktivit pro děti a mládež a letos již po třetí pořádám letní tábor. Způsob trávení volného času dětí a mládeže ovlivňuje mnoho faktorů. Jeho smysluplné naplnění pomáhá při rozvoji osobnosti a je prostředkem prevence vzniku nejrůznějších sociálně patologických jevů dětí a mládeže. Letní tábor je jedním z mnoha možných pomocníků v této problematice a s ním samozřejmě i dobře provedená celotáborová hra.

Options for young people leaving children's homes

In the theoretical part of my thesis there is a brief summary of forms of institutional education and influence of the education on children. It also describes projects that offer help and support to young people leaving institutional care and beginning their selfdependent life. The practical part of the thesis focuses on one specific project. It describes the course of the project in the children's homes that took part in it and experience of the children living in these homes. The goal of the practical part is to prove hypotheses concerning both the effectiveness of the project and preparedness of young people leaving institutional care.

Project Method and its Application in Contemporary Education

The diploma thesis The Project Method and its Potential Application in Contemporary Education deals with the potential which this method offers. Requirements on the Czech education are formulated in the Framework Education Programmes which are presented by the educational objectives. Working on projects helps to fulfil these objectives and helps to achieve and develop individual key competencies. This diploma thesis refers to appropriate use of the projects in teaching foreign languages. In the practical part, there is a plan of a concrete project on the theme Paris and … which was carried out with students of grammar schools in the subject French language. The project itself is described in the practical part, starting from motivation and detailed planning, then describing realization, final presentation and reflexion on the project. For the final reflexion and assessment, three types of questionnaires were compiled. Also, the criteria for assessment were assigned, which can be used for assessing the work by teachers or coordinators. The project with its questionnaires can be used, after slight changes, as a model for further projects in teaching foreign language with the focus on realia of the studied country.
