Semi-continuous analysis of NH4+ in atmospheric aerosol and ammonia in air
Mikuška, Pavel ; Kapoun, M. ; Večeřa, Zbyněk
A combination of diffusion wet denuder and continuous aerosol collector provides continuous analysis and study of ammonia distribution between gaseous and aerosol phases.

Dynamics of Aerosol Number Size Distributions during an Experimental Campaign at the Bily Kriz Measuring Site
Ždímal, Vladimír ; Moravec, Pavel ; Smolík, Jiří ; Mikuška, Pavel ; Večeřa, Zbyněk ; Pokorný, Radek
This work aimed at studying the dynamics of atmospheric aerosol particle size distributions and interpreting it in connection to local concentrations of gaseous pollutants and basic meteorological parameters. Number size distributions had been monitored with high time resolution during an intense experimental campaign at a remote continental sampling site Bily Kriz. The site is located at the NE tip of the Czech Republic in the hilly region. The campaign had ben carried out at the end of June 2001. Several very interesting events were observed when formation of large amounts of new aerosol particles occured in the day time. Due to the behaviour of other measured parameters it was concluded that the so called "nucleation events" took place on a mesoscale region.
The study of influence of atmospheric pollutants on the determination of nitrous acid with the preconcentration in the cylindrical wet diffusion denuder
Motyka, Kamil ; Večeřa, Zbyněk ; Mikuška, Pavel
The effect of pollutants which commonly occur in polluted air on the chemiluminescent determination of nitrous acid with preconcentration in cylindrical wet diffusion denuder was investigated.
Application of difusion denuder for sampling of carbonaceous aerosols and analysis of OC/EC
Mikuška, Pavel ; Večeřa, Zbyněk ; Bartošíková, Anna ; Maenhaut, W. ; Chi, X.
Annular diffusion denuder for sampling of carbonaceous aerosols on quartz filter without interferences of gaseous organic pollutants and atmospheric oxidants is described. Exposed filters are analysed off-line for content of orgnic and elementar carbon in collected aerosols.
Identification of volatile contaminants in air and atmospheric aerosol in agricultural enviroment
Hrdlička, Jan ; Večeřa, Zbyněk ; Mikuška, Pavel ; Dočekal, Bohumil ; Ciganek, M.
We present sampling and analysis of volatile and semi-volatile organic polutants using a cylindrical wet effluent diffusion denuder and atmospheric aerosols on filters in agricultural enviroment
Continuous measurement of chemical composition of atmospheric aerosols
Mikuška, Pavel ; Večeřa, Zbyněk
New continuous collector of atmospheric aerosols using deionized water is described.Collector allows on-line analysis of chemical composition in water soluble aerosol components in real time with time resolution of a few minutes without interferences of gaseous pollutants.
Application of diffusion denuder for elimination of sampling artefacts of carbonaceous aerosols
Mikuška, Pavel ; Večeřa, Zbyněk ; Broškovičová, Anna ; Maenhaut, W. ; Chi, X.
An annular diffusion denuder was developed, enabling elimination of positive sampling artefacts and inteference of oxidants during sampling of organic aerosols on a quartz filter, placed in series behind the denuder at sampling flow-rate 16,6 l/min.
