Psychological aspects in families with a chronically ill child

The work deals with psychological aspects appearing in families with a somatically chronically ill child. Based on the available literature, it defines the concept of chronicity in the pediatric population, as there is currently no consensus in this area. Furthermore, it presents a model that describes medical stress related to chronic illness in childhood and its trajectories, for anchoring survival in families. Subsequently, it describes the experience of parents in the context of the disease, as they are the main bearers of the burden of care that they must manage, along with other daily demands. A short part also deals with the survival of siblings of chronically ill children and the possibilities of interventions that can be used in this area. The Research part is devoted to the design of a validation study in the population of parents of chronically ill children, with a focus on peritraumatic survival after the diagnosis of the disease. Nonpharmacological interventions for stress reduction during pregnancy and their effects on maternal bonding

The bachelor thesis addresses the relationship between stress in pregnancy, nonpharmacological interventions, which are possible to use for its reduction, and maternal bonding after birth. In the first chapter, the literature review describes particular types of stress, which can occur during pregnancy, mechanisms via which stress affects foetus, and impacts on both mother and child. The second chapter summarizes principles and effectivity of particular interventions for stress reduction during pregnancy, e.g. various forms of psychotherapy, yoga or mindfulness-based interventions. In the third chapter, the paper describes maternal bonding, its differentiation from the concept of attachment and its correlates. The fourth chapter concerns present scientific findings about the relationship of all these phenomena. In the empirical section, a research project draft is presented, aim of which is to discover the impact of Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting in pregnancy on the maternal bonding quality with a possible mediation of lowered level of perceived stress or reduce depressive symptomatology.
Competencies of a lecturer using activation methods in adult education

This Bachelor's thesis focuses on the definition of lecturers' competences in adult education that uses a participative style of teaching. The current state of professionalization of lecturers in the Czech Republic will be explored alongside the definition of lecturer using activation methods in adult education and lecturer's competences within this thesis. The basic description of the commonly used activation teaching methods and the high teaching requirements of these methods will also be illustrated. Finally, this thesis introduces the competence model using the activation methods in adult education with a possible schema of the model usage in the real world. Strategie a nové trendy v oblasti řízení lidských zdrojů Bc. Gabriela Miková 5 ABSTRAKT Diplomová práce je zaměřena na strategie a nové trendy v oblasti řízení lidských zdrojů. V práci nalezneme přehled vývoje personální práce a funkcí oddělení lidských zdrojů. Teoretická část seznámí čtenáře se základní terminologií v této problematice jako například personální administrativa, personální řízení, řízení lidských zdrojů, personální marketing atd. Teoretická část se zabývá plánováním a strategií lidských zdrojů a také získáváním a výběrem pracovníků v organizaci. Na konci této části se seznámíme s aktuálně diskutovanými tématy jako například talent management, diversity management, genderový audit atd. Empirická část přináší informace založené na analýze procesů náborového oddělení, které popisují postupy při tvorbě kompetenčních modelů. Součástí je i zpětná vazba na zavedení profilů a nastavení dalších postupů, popřípadě doporučeních, jak s profily dále pracovat. Bachelor thesis focuses on the problematic of deliberate self-harm, it is separated into two parts - literary overview part and practical part. In the literary overview part is explained deliberate self-harm as a concept, further is put in the context of other concepts related to deliberate self- harm and is explained its place in diagnostic manuals. This part summarizes its manifestations, risk factors, types and ways, and other phenomena connected to deliberate self-harm in adolescent age. Describes psychological and physiological functions of deliberate self-harm. Clarifies individuals motives to self-harm and describes specifics of the period, when individuals self-harm. Further clarifies what is happening while in act of self-harm. Especially is oriented to strategies that help manage self-harm immediately and prevent deliberate self- harm. Bachelor thesis designs research project in the practical part, aimed at verification effectiveness of strategies managing deliberate self-harm in adolescence.
Adolescent self-harm in the context of the online environment

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the process of self-harm in adolescents in the context of the online environment. The first chapter of the literature review is devoted to the terminological definition of the problem, its occurrence and its determination. The second chapter focuses on the process of self-harm, functions and the factors that affect it. Emphasis is also placed on the role of stigmatization in the life of a self-harming individual. The third chapter is about the selected developmental aspects of adolescence that can affect individuals. The last chapter of the literature review part deals with the online environment, focusing on its specifics, online communities and the reasons why individuals prefer the online environment over the real one. The second part of the bachelor thesis is a research proposal. The research proposal aims to map the process of self-harm in the context of the online environment and respond to expanding questions. Considering the topic and the goal of the research, the qualitative design was chosen. The specific method that will be used is a semi-structured interview, which will be analyzed using grounded theory. Self-harming behavior in adolescence

The aim of the work is to give a summary of theoretical overview of self-harm in adolescents. The work will deal with various forms and possible causes of self-harm. It will also focus on the possibilities of prevention, psychotherapeutic help, and ways of coping with stress and negative emotions. The content of the literature review part will be the definition of the basic causes, motives, and forms of self-harm. It will also focus on the characteristics of self-harming people, the period of adolescence, or risky behavior in this period. The possibilities of prevention, ways of coping with stress, negative emotions, and other possibilities of help within psychology or psychiatry will be mentioned. The aim of the research will be to find out how adolescents cope with negative emotions, stress, and how widespread self-harm in this age group (12-20 years) is and whether there are differences between the sexes. The research will be carried out in an anonymous questionnaire form at secondary and primary schools, which will be willing to cooperate. The area of research would the east of the Slovak Republic. The results of the processed data should provide information on how widespread self-harm of juveniles is in this area and what ways of ventilating the negative emotions mentioned in the questionnaire...
Cognitive profile in patients with atrial fibrillation

The bachelor thesis deals with the profile of patients' cognitive functions with atrial fibrillation. The first section of the theoretical part is concerned with the associations between atrial fibrillation (AF) and cognitive disorders, physiological causes standing in their backround and the development risk factors of cognitive deficits of patients suffering from AF. Next, there comes the description of problematic cognitive impairment diagnosis in population of these patients. It presents the research results showing the distribution of cognitive deficit in individual cognitive domains. In terms of monitored variables in the research, it also briefly informs about connection between the affective domains and cognition at patients diagnosed with AF. In the final part, there are submitted treatment possibilities of cognitive deficits at patients with AF, which mainly represent prevention and cardiovascular illnesses therapy. In the empirical part of the thesis, there are compared cognitive functions in the group of patients with AF to the comparative group based on the control of the number of depressive and anxiety symptoms. Locus of control and pain treatment in patients undergoing aortocoronary bypass surgery

This bachelor thesis is about Locus of Control and its influence on pain perception, specifically it is focused on pain perception in patients undergoing aortocoronary bypass surgery. The thesis is divided into a literature review section, which contains chapters on Locus of Control and alternatives to this concept, self- efficacy, pain and possibilities of its diagnosis, introduction to heart diseases - specifically ischemic heart disease and possibilities of its surgical treatment including aortocoronary bypass surgery. The theoretical part aims to create a framework that serves as a basis for a research proposal, which aims to verify whether Locus of Control has an impact on postoperative pain and success of treatment.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy in the treatment of children with obsessive-compulsive disorder from the parents' point of view

This bachelor thesis is focused on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) in connection with the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in children and their parents as essential participants in the treatment process. The literature review section is related to OCD in the pediatric population and includes a brief description of OCD and its treatment options, including research into their effectiveness. The pivotal part is devoted to CBT, specifically its course, methods and its possible support or substitution. The following chapter deals with the possibility and importance of parents' involvement in the process of CBT and their view of it. The research part is designed in the form of a proposal. It is a proposal of qualitative research, which focuses on the issue of CBT in children with OCD from the parents' point of view. In addition, it focuses on other areas related to OCD in a child where the research could provide substantial additional information. Research could contribute to a deeper understanding of OCD in children, to provide insight into the lives of families in which an OCD child lives, to find out how CBT in common practice of children with OCD proceeds, but mainly to see whether parents evaluate CBT as effective.
