Diploma work "Family as factor influencing socially-patological behaviour of the child" is compiled teoretical ly and scienti fically. Teoretical part deal in fami ly and its relations concerned. Prel iminarily it describes some patological phenomenons which signi ficantly influnce the development of the family.Basic functions of family as well as its fail rures are desribed.Also some of undesi rable mani festations of behaviour of particular members of family are desribed.Teoretical part of diploma work shows the relation between disfunction of the family and inception of patological behaviour of individuals.Suicide,missuse of drugs,problems connected with deliquent behaviour and penitenciar t reatment are evaluated as the most dangerous for human and for the society as a whole. A.m. conclusions are followed by empi rical part.Empi rical part examines number of some fami ly factors in anamnesis of young imprisoned persons.Particularily informations about completness and functionality of families of these individuals are examined. The role of non-profit organisations in determining leisure time activity of children and adolescent youth

In the first part, it discussess adolescence from the point of view of psychology and sociology. The next part attempts to define the key concepts: peer group, free time and non-profit sector and following comes an overview of organisations providing leisure time activities to adolescents, including the non-profit organisations. The empirical part presents results of a small enquiry, which was carried to find out how adolescents really spend their leisure time, what organisations assist them in that and how they learn about these possibilities. Last but not least, it also investigated whether and to what extent are they satisfied with the currently available options.

Practise of helping profession and risks of beginning burnout

These days, with life comes complicated situations that one have to face every day. We all face stres, which in certain moments leeds to burnout. We are talking here about people working above their limits and don't know how to properly relax. Affected professions include especially helping proffesions, which means saniatrists, teachers, social workers and others. Actually, we can count any profession as affectable with burnout. To make sure our everyday stress situations will not lead to burnout, we need to precede it. Effective measures against burnout include healthy lifestyle, lots of human realitionships, upkeeping fair life environment, relaxation, etc.

Social and pedagogical aspects of the voluntariness focused on children's patients

The aim of this thesis is to document volunteer program s at children's clinics. It attempts to synthesize different people's opinions about volunteering and to highlight the importance ofthe activity. The thesis has two parts: theoretic and empiric. The first part, theoretic, is focused on basic terms, function, and principles of volunteering. The main point is to speciry the activities ofvolunteers in children's clinics. Special attention is given to a program called "The Volunteers in Hospitals", which is aimed at monitoring the influence of illness on a child' s mental development in addition to the impact on his or her friends and relatives. It also tries to define the basic set of skills for those who volunteer for this program. The aim of the second part is to learn the attitudes of volunteers and their reasons for volunteering by means of a questionnaire. The goal is to leam how they prepare themselves for volunteering, to exarnine their sociological and pedagogical background, and how volunteering affects their social life. A second questionnaire asks volunteer coordinators about prograrns at the hospitals they work at. In addition, it asks about benefits offered to volunteers. Delikvence dětí a mládeže je jev, který nelze vymýtit. Vždy se s ním budeme setkávat. Důležité však je, jak na něj budeme reagovat a co podnikneme pro to, aby se proviněný ze svého chování poučil a našel cestu, jak změnit příčiny, které k němu vedly. Tato práce popisuje hlavní činnosti vybraných subjektů vyvíjejících společnou aktivitu v péči o děti a mladistvé, kteří se dostali do konfliktu se zákonem. Každý subjekt plní specifické úkoly, ve kterých nemůže být zastoupen. Jsou také místa, kde se subjekty setkávají, spolupracují a někdy se jejich práce také překrývá. Tento problém je dobře znám. Prioritou je zjednodušení informačního systému, který by jednotlivé složky propojoval a zároveň byl přístupný odborné i laické veřejnosti.

The role of non-governmental organizations for Improving the quality of senior's life

This diploma thesis addresses the problematic aspects of seniors and non-governmental organizations, which take care of them. In its extensive theoretical part, it introduces the initial data, which are necessary for the work with seniors. It is primarily the area of evolution psychology, material needs, autonomy and social status of seniors in our country. The theoretical part is considered as a necessary foundation for any activities related to the help to seniors. The second part of this work deals with the concrete activities of non-governmental organizations in the Czech Republic and it partly provides an empirical sound, which investigates, how concretely public organizations help to improve their members - seniors' lives. Experience from the year's work in the mentioned public organization and knowledge gained by study led to create the author its own model of the respite care for seniors project, the goal of which is to develop simple and functional model, which meets seniors' needs and saturates their needs for live. Tasks of school methodology prevention

Téma sociálně patologických jevů a jejich prevence je v naší společnosti velmi aktuální. Hledají se účinné strategie vedoucí k předcházení výskytu sociálně patologických jevů. Škola je místem, zejména primární a sekundární prevence. Pokud chceme, aby tato prevence byla efektivní, musí být propracovaná a podílet by se na ní měly osoby, které mají určitý vhled do problému. Negativně je třeba vnímat malou vzdělanost metodiků prevence. Další vzdělávání pedagogických pracovníků a podpora jejich kariérního růstu je v kompetenci ředitelů škol, kteří mohou přidělené finanční prostředky směřovat žádoucím směrem. Tím prevence sociálně patologických jevů bezesporu je. Z výsledků dotazníků vyplývá, že metodici prevence se preventivní činnosti věnují průměrně 3,20 hodin.Za tuto svoji činnost jsou hodnoceni nejčastěji osobním ohodnocením. Obě funkce metodika prevence je často spojována s funkcí výchovného poradce. Funkce jsou častěji odděleny na školách poskytující vzdělání osobám se specifickými vzdělávacími potřebami. Sonda ukázala malou vzdělanost metodiků prevence. Vzhledem k tomu, že nejčastěji řešeným sociálně patologickým jevem - jevem, který řešila každá škola, je tabakismus, bylo by vhodné zařadit tuto problematiku do školních vzdělávacích plánů napříč spektrem vyučovacích předmětů. Drugs experience of under age mothers located in inpatient treatment

In the theoretical part of my Bachelor's Degree thesis "The Experience with Drugs of Underage Mothers Placed in Institutional Care" I focus on issues connected with this topic. I address the issue of drug addiction as a problem of both the individual and that of society; forms and types of drug addiction and factors influencing the origin of such addiction. Among other issues I deal with is the adolescence period from the point of view of the way in which psychosocial relations are managed. I mention Erikson's theory of psychosocial development and psychosocial conflicts of this period too. In the next part I focus on institutional care of underage mothers and their stay in institutions. Related to this issue there is pregnancy and motherhood of underage girls and accompanying challenges not only for them but for the whole family too. I also mention possible risks and health hazards and causes and consequences of early motherhood. In the conclusion of the theoretical section I focus on drug addiction in relation to underage mothers and the impact of drugs on pregnancy and development of the embryo including the withdrawal symptoms of newborn babies. Crisis intervention of children with child abuse and neglect syndrome

Graduation thesis called "Crisis Intervention of Children with Child Abuse and Neglect Syndrome" is purely theoretical. The first part offers a description of fundamental terms relating to the subject of Child Abuse and Neglect Syndrome, statistical data analysis, and a compendium of current legislation. The second part disserts on crisis intervention, especially on the specific form of help to abused and neglected children, and on institutional help. Last chapter presents Sanctuary for Children in Need in Prague, its activities and cooperation with other non-governmental or public organisations.

Social-educational streetwork in the Roma community

The thesis is aimed at the issue of socio-educational streetwork in Roma Community. As the title of the thesis shows, the streetwork in Roma community is perceived first of all through social pedagogy and social work. The objective of the paper is to seek aspects of socio-educational relief in the filed targeted at the members of Roma community in area of social pedagogy and social work. The paper describes the beginnings of social and educational street work in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, specificities of Roma, different approaches in the work with children and adults, principles and applications of community planning and community based approach in everyday work with Roma community in the filed. The paper identifies the social streetworker (working in Roma socially excluded localities), pedagogical assistant, social assistant, curator for children and youth, coordinator of community education, and regional coordinator of community planning of social services to be crucial actors in social and educational streetwork. The thesis brings the definition of basic terms in respective area: integration, majority, majority society, socio-cultural handicap, disadvantaging socio-cultural environment, social exclusion, social inclusion, community planning of social services and community school.
