Analysis of job satisfaction

The aim of the thesis is to get an overview of job satisfaction in the company XY and to analyse the factors of work conditions the employees are satisfied with, and those which force them to feel uncomfortable and dissatisfied. Based on the surveyed data, as well as theoretical knowledge, some useful recommendations will be proposed. These could lead to an improvement in job satisfaction in the company. The thesis consists of theoretical, methodological and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on clarifying the definition of job satisfaction and defining the factors that affect it. In the methodological part, the acquisition of requested data and methods of data processing are described. The practical part is focused on an implementation of acquired knowledge in my own analysis. Required data will be collected by a questionnaire.
Czechs from the point of view of foreign students

This bachelor thesis deals with national culture and cultural differences. The thesis aims to introduce the insight of foreign students into Czech culture before and after the internship within the AIESEC organisation. The research is based on qualitative interviews and questionnaires on the basis of which Czech cultural stereotypes that can be found in foreign countries are determined and the change of the point of view of the trainees at the end of the internship. Furthermore, the characteristics that according to trainees express the "typical Czech" are also observed.
Communication and leadership in an organization providing cultural festival

This work deals with internal communication in the team, which provides the organization of the cultural festival. Internal communication in this case represents communication in group, leadership, delegation and conflict management. The main objective of this work is to describe in detail, analyze and evaluate communication from the perspective of groups, but especially from the perspective of the leader of this group.
Analysis of a team in organization and criteria of its effectivity

The master thesis is dealing with an analysis of existing working team in the Slovak company Artexe s.r.o. The aim of work is the classification of the chosen team, based on the obtained theoretical knowledge, and the revelation of its weak spots. Theoretical part of the thesis defines the basic terms and clusters the information necessary for the realization of analysis. In the empirical part, the monitored work team is being tested from the point of various critical situations. For the purpose of observation, the method of a questionnaire is used. Altogether, the research consists of four research questionnaires, which monitor problematic dimensions of a team, the need of teambuilding and typical roles of individuals of the team. The results of the analysis serve to reveal problematic spheres and, subsequently, for the proposal of concrete recommendations to achieve more effective functioning of the working team of Artexe company. Collected proposals of solutions come from the related literature and researches of domestic or foreign authors.
The implementation process of the employees’ appraisal system of renowned Czech insurance company

Employees' appraisal belongs to the active instruments of human resource management and performance. Its importance in the management of today's companies grows constantly with the increasing role of human capital in the intellectualization process. Appraisal is becoming an important way of achieving and maintaining the policy of high performance, productivity and competitiveness. The object of this thesis is a renowned Czech insurance company, which in the context of streamlining its processes and systems decided to change the employees' appraisal system. The aim of this thesis is to map out the implementation process of this new form of the appraisal system. The company will gain feedback on the overall course of the implementation and will be able to avoid some deficiencies defined during the process in future. At the same time this thesis can provide the company with some optimizing recommendations, which the company can use in the future revision of its appraisal system.
Impacts of the financial crisis on using telework as a form of flexible working

This thesis describes a concept of telework, its background, diffusion and penetration, the European Framework Agreement on Telework and provides a detailed analysis of home office as one form of telework in Czech Republic and Germany during the financial crisis. Evaluating the impacts of the financial crisis on using this form of flexible working is based on statistical data, researches and case studies from both countries and on interviews with representatives of two companies located in Czech Republic and two companies located in Germany which practice home office. The research is completed with an interview with a telework service provider.
Reputation of University of economics, Prague

This thesis focuses on issue of reputation of higher education institution. Theoretical part defines reputation and specifies it in context of image, identity and brand and describes evaluation methods of these terms in context of higher education. Importance of reputation for public institutions and universities is also described. The objective of the research part was to investigate reputation of University of economics Prague (VŠE) in view of different stakeholders. Second objective was to analyze reputation of private higher education institutions competing with VŠE. Questionnaire was selected as a research method, 3 groups of stakeholders were asked to participate: students of VŠE, students of other universities and companies. Result of the research confirmed the hypothesis, that reputation of private schools worsens their position on the market. Also hypothesis that VŠE has bad reputation in eyes of students of other universities, but great reputation in eyes of companies was confirmed. In the conclusion, some steps to increase reputation of VŠE were recommended.
Motivation of employees of the hotel Barcelo Old Town

This bachelor thesis is concerned with motivation of employees in selected organization, analysis of importance of particular motivation instruments. Analysis is based on information from anonymous questioning, face-to-face dialog and own observance. Bachelor thesis divides in two parts. Theoretical part, that explains basic terms, like motivation, satisfaction, motivation theory, stimulation means and system of remuneration, human relations at work, gives a base for analysis in practical part, that must evaluate actual system of motivation and satisfaction of employees, must give particular recommendations to get better situation.
