Mikroregion Blaník and its development in the field of culture after 2000

This diploma thesis deals with characteristic and development of mikroregion Blaník that is situated on area of ten municipalities in district of Vlašim. Thesis focuses on definition of mikroregion and its legislative enshrinement. Then it summarizes the status of local culture and cultural heritage, and also describes options how to obtain subsidies. This part is followed by practical part which is based on specific information obtained from the annual reports and the management of mikroregion. Thesis is supplemented by interviews with mayors.
Possibilities of Maintenance and Utilization of Synagogues in the Pilsen Region

The bachelor´s thesis deals with the issue of maintenance and current utilization of synagogues that partially or completely have lost their original function and appearance due to the Holocaust and subsequent Communism. After a brief overview of historical development of Jewish settlements and synagogue architecture in the Czech Republic, the thesis goes on with definition of synagogue and interior equipment. The practical part deals with the synagogues in the Pilsen region, which are the part of cultural heritage; describes their history, building restoration and current utilization. While pointing out synagogue buildings, that are today preserved as rebuildings or have disappeared completely. The thesis is supplemented by photographs of selected objects.
Rural transformation at the turn of the 20th and 21st century: problems vs. opportunities and challenges

Bachelor thesis deals with current topic of rural transformation in the period from the beginning of the 90s of the 20th century to the present time, with a focus on its socio-economic, socio-cultural, demographic and spatial view. An important part of the bachelor thesis is the application of this topic to the particular municipality, thesis is focused on identifying the optimal directions of economic and socio-cultural development in the coming years. Aim of the thesis is to devise a viable strategic development plan of this municipality.
Economic effects of revitalization of Thomayerovy sady

The bachelor's thesis centers around economic and socioeconomic aspects of revitalizing urban green spaces. The theoretical section establishes the terminology related to urban green spaces, area revitalization and regeneration, building new relations, and involving local entities. It also assesses options for quantifying economic benefits of revitalization. The factual part applies theoretical findings to the revitalization of Thomayerovy sady urban park in Prague 8 - Libeň. By comparing it to other already completed revitalizations, the thesis quantifies possible economic benefits of this particular project. It concludes with exploring future consequences of not yet complete revitalization and recommends steps leading to improvements in functionality and public perception of the park.
The Economic potential of immovable industrial heritage and its utilization

The focus of this bachelor thesis is on the current topic of the utilization of immovable industrial monuments in the Czech Republic. The aim of this work is a detailed analysis and evaluation of the condition and the utilization of these industrial monuments in the Czech Republic. The foundation of this work is a theoretical definition, categorization and separation of industrial buildings. Furthermore the exploration of history, present status and extent of the industrial heritage in the Czech Republic as well as its cultural heritage protection. Eventually the research will present the economic potential and possibilities of new utilization of these industrial monuments in general and also in detail using specific examples. An integral part of this research will be application of this theme on specific immovable industrial monument. This will be completed with regards to assessment of its condition and utilization of all obtained findings from already revitalized industrial buildings.
Economical, spatial and socio-cultural impacts of large shopping centers building

This thesis analyzes the economical, spatial and socio-cultural implications of large shop-ping centers on their surroundings. The theoretical part summarizes the current situation in the Czech Republic, compares the international findings and depicts the possible impacts of the mall development. The practical part applies the results to the case of the City Park Jihlava shopping center. It identifies and evaluates particular consequences caused by the construction of this mall and suggests ways to correct some of them.
Revitalization of the former Bata's factory in Zlin

Bachelor's work is focusing on problematics of monument care, redevelopment and conservation of industrial culture heritage. Theoretical part is closely connected to the problematics this work is dealing with. Practical part is focusing on re-use of factories nowadays, on change which is visible from since the area was founded, by the time we are looking for the new options and opportunities for its use and purpose. Also the attempt is to look more closely if today's function of the area is on behalf of inhabitants needs and whats more if there is still a bit of Bata's legacy and atmosphere which the city surely deserves.
Social, economic and legislative aspects of self-sufficient houses in Czech republic

Diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of the realization of self-sustainable buildings in Czech republic. Thesis uses facts from the enviromental protection, landscaping and urbanism to prove the social and enviromental need of this type of structures. Using the define case of Earthships -- self-sufficient houses from recycled materials, thesis describes specific functional principles and adaptation of Earthships to czech climate and legislativ. The main objective of this paper is to give an integrated overview of this topic and really survey the possibilities of this concept to be realized in Czech republic.
Public space as an integral part of city infrastructure at the example of Hradec Králové

The diploma thesis is dealing with public space in the city of Hradec Králové and the main participants that influence the form of public space the inhabitants of the city. The thesis describes the urban development of the city, the implementation of plans in public space and the most important events held. A survey was carried out thanks to which the level of participation of the inhabitants of the city in the events that were held was found out, their aproach towards the public space and the way they saw the changes that were made in the public space. On the whole it summons the recommendations and advice from the inhabitants in this area which is put in contrast with the statement of the authority of Hradec Králové. It also confronts the economic parameters of possible further changes in public space. The thesis results in general advice for the development of public space in the city of Hradec Králové but also in other cities.
Utilization of the European Social Fund in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis describes The European Social Fund and its utilization in the Czech Republic in its theoretical part. The ESF is a relevant tool of the European Union for human resources development and employment support. The thesis further describes operational programs financed with the ESF in present programming period 2007 - 2013. Special attention is paid to operational program Praha - Adaptabilita, which is focused on competitiveness increase in human resources development and employment support in the city of Prague. In this part, concetration is aimed at priority theme, which includes disadvantaged individuals employment support. Analytical part of this thesis focuses on a particular project financed with the ESF through OPPA. The main purpose of the project is to support disadvantaged people, when entering the labour market. Goal of the analytical part is project analysis and its comparision with similar foreign projects.
