Hydrogels with carbon fibers
Kučerová, Barbora ; Bouška,, Marek (referee) ; Pekař, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the study of the behaviour of carbon fibers in the hydrogel, especially the viscoelastic modules od these gels ort he coefficient of color transmission through the gel. The main goals were to optimize the samples and measure their viscoelastic modules on a rheometer, in several different modes. This was followed by simulation of physiological conditions for selected samples and their measurement on the rheometer. There was also an experiment of continuous diffusion in cuvettes, in which the penetration of the dye through the gel with the addition of fibers and for comparison also without them. Last but not least diffusion pairs were prepared.
Community Approaches to health care during and after crisis situation
KUČEROVÁ, Barbora
This thesis deals with issues of community care with regard to community health care during and after emergencies. The theoretical part aims to introduce the general topic of community care. The first chapters of this thesis are dedicated to community care and utilization of community nursing care, including the history and development of community care in the Czech Republic as well as outside its territory. The thesis further provides a summary of institutions, health and social services within community care, including the possibility of home care. It also deals with the role of community nurses and their involvement in the process of community planning. Another important part of this thesis is the issue of emergencies where the term "emergency" is defined, and divisions of emergencies and the cooperation of integrated response system are described. The thesis furthermore concentrates on the procedures of the ambulance service during emergencies including emergencies with polytrauma and the subsequent treatment in health-care facilities. One of the goals of this thesis is to describe the role of medics during emergencies and the role they play in caring for patients coming from different communities. Further chapters deal with specific community health care: elderly people, children, people with disabilities, groups of different cultures - ethnic and national minorities. It also deals with the specifics of providing health care from the point of view of religion. The practical part is dedicated to quantitative survey of knowledge of medics in issues of community health care across different levels of education and different ranks. A research question was determined: What is the understanding and professional level of medics in the community care setting during and after an emergency? The respondent data was obtained in the form of a questionnaire and results are shown in diagrams. The questionnaires aimed to find out whether the respondents had ever heard the term "community care" and to find out their theoretical knowledge on this issue. However, the main point was to evaluate how vast is their practical experience.
Peer consultants as part of the community teams in the organization FOKUS Vysočina
KUČEROVÁ, Barbora
The thesis deals with the representation of peer consultants in the community team, spe-cifically in community teams of the organization FOKUS Vysočina. The thesis is divi-ded into three chapters. The first chapter explains terms like: mental health or social work. The chapter also deals with the specifics of social work with people with mental illnesses. The second chapter is an introduction to the organization FOKUS Vysočina and specifically the work of the community teams. The chapter intorduces the target group, working representation, job description and methods of work in this organization. The third chapter explains the concept of peer support. It also focuses on the work of peer consultants in FOKUS Vysočina. The end of this chapter is partially composed of individual stories of peer consultants who work in FOKUS Vysočina. The stories inclu-de a personal view of the peer consultant's topic and its potential influence on the re-covery of clients. The thesis shows that the peer consultant is necessary and very significant for community teams. The statements of the peer consultants do not contradict the results of the studies and the knowledge from literature. It is evident that peer consultants in FOKUS Vysočina can have a very positive effect on the recovery of clients.

Title: Financial demands in preparation of tennis players from various performance levels. Objectives: The aim of this work is to find out a financial demands in preparation of tennis players from various performance levels. Methods: In this thesis was used a quantitative and qualitative methods. The main method, who was used, was a questionnaire survey, which was conducted electronically with parents of children who play tennis and are registered under the Czech Tennis Association. The quantitative method was supplemented by interviews with the parents of children from selected tennis clubs. Results: The results show that the financial demands in preparation of tennis players are significantly higher for players who are in the top 100 of the national ranking. Among the remaining players of the republic ranking, the differences are no longer too significant. It was alsou found that the financial demands in preparation of tennis players vary depending on their age category. The most finncially demanding preparation is in the category under 18 and category under 12 is right next to it. In the category under 14, the preparation costs are a bit lower. The costs of preparation for young children, category under 9 and under 7, are incomparably lower. Keywords: tennis, sports funding, financial demands,...
Hyaluronan oligosacharides and their biological function
Kučerová, Barbora ; Lázníčková, Alice (advisor) ; Netopilová, Miloslava (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biophysic and Physical Chemistry Candidate: Bc. Barbora Kučerová Supervisor: Doc. Ing. Alice Lázníčková, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Hyaluronan oligosaccharides and their biological function In my diploma thesis I compile informations about hyaluronan oligosaccharides. Although hyaluronan is in the body found mostly in a form of long chains, we can find it also as small fragments - the oligosaccharides. The oligosaccharides embody different properties than hyaluronan polymers. Hyaluronan oligosaccharides can be synthetised, separated and analysed in laborarory in a variety of ways. Large molecules can be broken into fragments chemically, physically or enzymatically. For thein subsequent separation and purification especially chromatographic methods are used. As the most suitable methods for their final analysis electrophoretic techniques or mass spectrometry were shown. Continous metabolism of hyaluronan proceeds inside the body . Hyaluronan synthase takes a part in synthesis, and the biodegradation important for human is supplyed by several hyaluronidases. Interaction of hyaluronan with cells is mediated by several receptors. Specific receptor for hyaluronan is CD44, which can bind either large polymers and...
Language and Institiution
Kučerová, Barbora ; Pokorný, Martin (advisor) ; Švec, Ondřej (referee)
(in English): The aim of this thesis is to clarify the normative character of language, that is, how we are bound by a certain set of rules in every speech. We will look into this normative character of language by articulating two essential questions: in what is this normativity grounded and which aspects constitute language as an institution. In the first part of the paper we interpret the work of three authors, Ferdinand de Saussure, Charles S. Peirce and Pierre Bourdieu, in order to answer the question on what the normative character of language is founded. In this part we mainly look into the relationship between language and social consensus, habit/acting and institutions. In the second part of the paper we give a definition of language institution which is inspired by the work of Peirce and Bourdieu. Further on we clarify in systematic way those aspects of language which can be considered as normative. Firstly, we point out those which are clearly part of language, such as lexicon, pronunciation and intonation, official language and institution symbolized by language. The last aspects that we will analyse are speech genres, belief, habit/acting and power.
Interpersonal relationship and spiritual growth
Kučerová, Barbora ; Jirsa, Jakub (advisor) ; Jinek, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to investigate the connection between de- veloping relationships with other people and individual effort on the highest knowledge. Its intention is to examine the form of this connection between social and epistemological (or theological) sphere. Through the analysis of M. Buber's work I and Thou and I. Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals, the thesis attempts to present and clarify what kind of relationships can we adopt towards the world, other people, and spiritual sphere. Within the scope of these relatioships, the thesis wish to emphasise the specificity of interpersonal relationship. Afterwards, on the grounds of this specifity, it should be shown whether there is any spe- cial mutual dependance between interpersonal relationship and the higher knowledge. However, it might be also shown that there is not such depen- dance or even that in striving for higher knowledge and spiritual growth, it is necessary to surrender all finite things including interpersonal relation- ships. Whatever the outcome of this reflection might be, we are still human beings dealing with everyday circumstances of ordinary life. Consequently, we cannot break loose of involvement in interpersonal relationships as we are repeatably forced to return...
