School on The Joy, Zdar nad Sázavou
Kučera, Petr ; Mačuda, Michal (referee) ; Vítek, Jiří (advisor)
The final bachelor's thesis responds to the request of the management of the Na Radosti school in Žďár nad Sázavou to design a new building for a democratic school. Due to the unsatisfactory current situation, where the school is located in several places in the town, it needs a new suitable space corresponding to their specific requirements and needs. A democratic school is a system of teaching based on the free choice of the individual. The new school, with a capacity of approximately 100 pupils, is to create a suitable space for learning, play and sport. Thanks to the designated land, it will also offer a connection to the landscape and create a creative and learning environment within it.

Connection interface design for virtual laboratory
Kučera, Petr ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Kuchyňková, Hana (advisor)
This bachelor project deals with a description of 3D application programming in C++ language using the OpenGL. It is focused on a general description of features of OpenGL taking account of its capabilities for programming the virtual laboratory. Further, the work aims to describe loading external files for use in OpenGL. The goal of the project is a practical realization of the virtual 3D laboratory and a detailed description of its creation.

Client-Server Relationship in Web Applications
Kučera, Petr ; Petřík, Patrik (referee) ; Šperka, Svatopluk (advisor)
This paper conducts a research in the field of transferring application logic to clients in web applications in order to reduce server load. It examines actions that can be performed on the client side in area of generating HTML code from structured data and data manipulation operations eliminating the need to communicate with server. It describes implementation of a JavaScript framework which turns this knowledge into practical use. It shows its usability on a simple information system. The results of the measurements show that the goal has been achieved and that the framework shows the way in which web applications with a strong emphasis on reducing server load can be made.

Meta-Learning in the Area of Data Mining
Kučera, Petr ; Hlosta, Martin (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This paper describes the use of meta-learning in the area of data mining. It describes the problems and tasks of data mining where meta-learning can be applied, with a focus on classification. It provides an overview of meta-learning techniques and their possible application in data mining, especially model selection. It describes design and implementation of meta-learning system to support classification tasks in data mining. The system uses statistics and information theory to characterize data sets stored in the meta-knowledge base. The meta-classifier is created from the base and predicts the most suitable model for the new data set. The conclusion discusses results of the experiments with more than 20 data sets representing clasification tasks from different areas and suggests possible extensions of the project.

Reconstruction of historical landscape features within manorial estates
Kučera, Petr ; Fialová, Zuzana
The methodology serves as a guideline for restoration of historical landscape features. The reason for using the methodology is a comparison of selected indicators of the condition of environment within the historical structure of manorial estates against the current state of landscape structure. The selection of relevant parameters focuses on the development of spatial and temporal development of landscape features that are in current terminology referred to as compositional parts of green infrastructure of an area. The importance of historical landscape elements in the structure of landscape lies in the support of ecosystem services that sustain the production capacity of landscape while enhancing environmental benefits.
