Evaluation supporting pupil learning

The pedagogue also chooses certain evaluation method to show individual progress or pupil margin and on their basis choose corresponding way of work. The types of evaluation used by a teacher put in the context the educational reform and current trends used within the obligatory school paper, RVP ZV. This master thesis is searching for evaluation methods resulting from the knowledge of educational psychology about pupil learning process. The particular evaluation methods are further brought out based on the specific objective. Practical part of the paper describes and analyzes the evaluation methods in practice of one teacher in a given school and characterizes evaluation as significant part of her individual concept of teaching. The work examines the impact of the transformation of the Czech education system after 1989 in the field of changed approach and understanding in the area of teaching and in the concept of education. The theoretical part describes the basis and nature of the changes of the concept of organizational forms and strategies of teaching. It provides explanation and overview of innovative methods, focusing on innovative - project teaching. Indicates the importance of the constructivist approach and the importance of introducing innovative methods in teaching. It describes the current process of professionalization of the teaching profession, with a focus on the professional competence of teachers. It points to the link quality indicators for schools and teachers with new methodological approaches, innovative methods of teaching and motivation of teachers for personal professional growth. Multicultural education at a primary school

The topic of the thesis is mapping the issue of multicultural education at primary schools. The main aim is to penetrate the current structures, to assess the possibilities of the teacher's work in the school environment and to find other ways of multicultural education of pupils in relation to the findings. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the legal environment of the issue at the level of the Czech Republic and the anchoring of multicultural education in curricular documents. It describes possible ways of thinking and approaches in contemporary intercultural education as well. It also includes the possibilities and principles of the educational process from the teacher's personality, his own competences, setting goals and content, appropriate forms and methods of work to the pupils and other factors influencing the lesson of multicultural education. The main goal of this thesis is to familiarize the reader with the inclusion of the gifted child into the classroom collective. The theoretical part focuses on the identification of gifted children, their behavior among peers and role in groups. Furthermore, the roles of the teacher, his education and ways of working with gifted. The practical part is engaged in the exploration, how teacher work in teams with gifted children, at 1st grade of elementary school.
Strategies of differentiation on the beging of the school attendance

The outcome of the project is a current trend of equal children education. The trend of inclusion leads to associate students with special needs with non-disabled students. It makes bigger demands on competence of teacher (the teacher on first level of education on elementary school in Czech Republic). The teacher who's applying this project must find the best way how to organize school lessons in heterogeneous classes. The teacher should be able to use entire potential of pupils since the school year has started. The theoretic part of book contains facts and advantages of differentiated instruction - these points were summed up from scientific literature sources. The author gives examples of teaching methods and their utilization. There are chapters dealing with school and family cooperation in the project, this part has very important impact on realizing the inclusion. The cooperation is also important to fulfil individual children needs. Bullying in the lower grades of Elementary school

The thesis deals with the issue of bullying at the primary level of the elementary schools from the point of view of the experienced teachers that have encountered this kind of situations in their practice. The thesis consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part brings latest news from the foreign and local bibliography. It describes causes, forms, participants of bullying, and there is a comparison of different kinds of solutions. Last but not least it proposes a wide range of preventive methods. The practical part is based on case studies of the interventions of bullying in the primary school which are realized through semi-structured interviews with five teachers from different countries with different backgrounds who dealt with bullying in their practise. The results present different techniques which involved people in the intervention use to efectively solve the cases and on the other hand what slows the proces of healing down and how to overcome these obstacles. Which steps were done in the classroom and which methods of prevention teachers use. This paper includes a discussion about the difference of dealing with bullying in Czech and foreign schools. Strategies of teaching gifted children at primary school

This master thesis aims to describe the strategies, methods and forms of work, which are effective in teaching gifted pupils at primary school. Another aim is to compare the possibility of their applications in integrated and segregated forms of gifted education. The theoretical part summarizes findings about this issue and the aim is to specify the issue of gifted children in relation to the intelligence, creativity and heredity. Based on the analysis of Czech, but mostly foreign literature, this work definine the strategies and methods of teaching gifted students, which are nowadays used in the classroom. The practical part is focus on a qualitative research method aimed at comparing the work of teachers of gifted students in integrated and segregated forms of teaching. Based on the analysis of teaching and subsequent in-depth interviews with teachers, this thesis is trying to figure out how the teacher in a particular form of teaching is working with talented pupil, which teaching strategies he or she is selecting and how these strategies correspond with the literature search in the theoretical part. In terms of research, it is possible to observe the individual approach of teachers who were surveyed on the issue of gifted.

Integration of students with learning disabilities and behaviour in regular class

This thesis deals is focused the application of general individualization strategies during work in the regular primary school classroom where pupils with learning diasabilities and specific behavior are integrated. Its aim is to describe the way the teacher tries to find optimal solutions using a form of action research. It deals with the status of these pupils in the class. What is their attitude and how they are motivated for school work. It traces how is the process perceived by pupils themselves, by thein schoolmates and thein parents. Perception of their problems by classmates and their parents. It reflects how the choice of the strategy affects the level of professional competence and teaching style of the teacher. It describes the benefits and risks associated with the integration of children with learning disabilities in the common classroom. It maps the possible strategies of differentiation and individualization of teaching methods and strategies that support students with learning disabilities an specific behavioral. The diploma thesis, entitled The Profile of a Novice Primary School Teacher, deals with the issue of young teachers starting their teaching practice. The aim of the thesis is to explore how contemporary novice teachers carry out their work, how they percieve it and to what extent they have been prepared for it by their studies. Another aim of the thesis is to compile a profile of a novice teacher which reflects the professional standard of a teacher with a diploma from a faculty of education and practice of one, two, or three years.
