Insulin resistance and pregnancy
Král, Martin ; Andělová, Kateřina (advisor)
The topic of his thesis - Insulin resistance in pregnancy - I chose based on their long standing interest in issues of Diabetes and obstetrics. I was also inspired by the example of a personal life. This is a rather broad topic in terms of accumulated medical evidence. A very significant in their societal and socio-economic consequences , as described below . The topic is highly multidisciplinary and extends into the field of diabetology , gynecology and obstetrics , neonatology , etc. In their clinical consequences and medical - preventive care requires this combined approach and the participation and cooperation of the entire medical team with specialized theoretical knowledge and practical experience. There is great scope for preventive measures. Epidemiology clinical consequences of insulin resistance in pregnancy is developed in Chap. 6 (clinical implications ) . Incidence, prevalence and incidence of diseases associated with insulin resistance is ( in our country and around the Euro - American world ) is still on the rise. This thesis (as described in the next chapter ) deals with mapping issues , clinical implications and possibilities of prevention.
The national trial with Radola Gajda 1947. A case study
Král, Martin ; Gebhart, Jan (referee) ; Šedivý, Ivan (advisor)
The topic of the study is the case of Radola Gajda, a former legionary and Czechoslovak general, before the National Court in 1947. After a short presentation of Radola Gajda, the study deals with his activity during the Second Czechoslovak Republic and the Protectorate. It outlines the origins of retributive justice, but it mostly focuses on Gajda's case. I have raised questions relating to the objectivity of the court, the way of its approach to the accused person and the possibility of interference in the judge's impartiality. I have also done some research into the way how the party press informed about this case. I have discovered that in 1947 Radola Gajda was no longer a politically important person, and I did not manage to find any significant interference into the investigation and the law case. The court gave equal space both to the defence and the plaintiff, and it sensibly assessed the evidence of both parties. The press of the individual political parties informed about the trial in a very brief way, and left-wing dailies in particular were more likely to present information aimed against the accused.
The change of referring about the Green Party
Král, Martin ; Reifová, Irena (advisor) ; Jirák, Jan (referee)
The topic of the thesis is "The change of referring about the Green Party" with the subordinate title "The frequency of the texts appearance about the Green Party in a press before and after five percent of the electoral preferences". The form of this thesis is the quantitative analysis of the content of the defined sample that is composed of two monitored Czech daily newspapers: Mlada fronta Dnes and Pravo. The time period under review is appointed for two six-month intervals. The former interval starts on April 2005 and ends by the breaking Convention of the Green Party on 24th September 2005 where Mr. Martin Bursik was called to the chair of the party. The latter interval continues after Convention and lasts till the end of March 2006. There is also another breaking point when the electoral preferences of the party have approached the five percent limit on January 2006 for the first time (this minimal limit is needed for gaining the Chamber of Deputies' chairs in the Chamber elections). The work has proved that there is not a significant change of referring after the Chairmanship change, but after another point: reaching the five percent limit of preferences as much more important breaking point. The frequency of the texts appearance has increased after that point approximately three times. In respect of...
The use of fungi and their products in organic farming
Krupičková, Karolína ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor) ; Král, Martin (referee)
Current excessive use of chemicals in plant protection raises problems. Two of these problems are increased resistance of pest populations and penetration of residues of these substances in the food chain. In recent years, there is an effort to reduce the use of chemicals and replace them with biological products that are friendly to the environment. This thesis deals with the possibility of using of fungi and preparations containing them to protect plants, instead of using chemicals. This bachelor thesis summarizes literature and studies dealing with this problem. Firstly, it deals with mycoparasitic and entomophatogenic fungi. It mentions their representatives, which are important for biological plant protection. For mycoparzitic fungi are representatives Trichoderma harzianum, Clonostachysrosea and Pythium oligandrum. There are mentioned their life cycles and bio-preparations made from them, which are used for plants protection. From entomopathogenic fungi thesis deals mainly about genera Beauveria, Hirsutella, Lecanicillium, Metarhizium, Nomuraea, Paecilomyces, Tolypocladium and Aschersonia. Beauveria, Hirsutella, Lecanicillium, Metarhizium, Nomuraea, Paecilomyces, Tolypocladium and Aschersonia. For all representatives are listed bio-preparations and their use for protecting crops against pathogens. In the bachelor thesis are mentioned products based on fungi for protecting potatoes. Most of these products are not registered in the Czech Republic, except Polyversum which contains spores of Pythium oligandrum and is used to protect the potatoes against potato late blight (Phytophthora infestans). The majority of biological products is highly effective against crops diseases, but some biological products are effective only in laboratory conditions at optimum conditions for the given species (eg. Tolypocladium cylindrosporum).
Methods of cultivation and protection of potatoes in organic farming
Dykast, Petr ; Tomášek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Král, Martin (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of effectiveness of biological productss intended for the protection and promotion of plant growth. The literary research contains the theoretical part dealing with potato cultivation in the organic farming system. Own work deals with methodology and materials of his own experiment. The whole experiment was carried on the fields of the author of the thesis and focuses on the effectiveness of the selected means used in potato cultivation in organic agriculture and the comparison of the effects biological products versus variant without treatment. The main aim of the experiment is to monitor the effectiveness of potato mold and their effect on crop yield. Another objective is to monitor the effectiveness of the product to reduce the incidence of pests.

Král, Martin ; Brůna, Karel (advisor) ; Pour, Jiří (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to answer the question of whether the Chinese currency fulfills prerequisites for becoming another reserve currency alongside the already used reserve currencies and whether the Chinese authorities are able to ensure necessary changes for a smooth transition to a new monetary regime.
