ABSTRACT: The topic of my dissertation is orthorexia nervosa, one of the modern eating disorders, and the impact of a Czech school on its development. The aim of this dissertation is to identify what knowledge about orthorexia issues the secondary medical school students have, what is their opinion on eating disorders, and to suggest a sample lesson focusing on this problem. To prove this fact, a quantitative research through a questionnaire has been used. This research was implemented in selected secondary medical schools and grammar schools. The results clearly indicate that students do not have sufficient knowledge about orthorexia and that the difference in the knowledge of medical students at secondary schools and grammar schools is negligible, although the composition of their diet is more concerned with secondary medical school students. In view of the fact of these and other findings, a draft of a sample lesson focusing on the issue of eating disorders and orthorexia has been developed. The aim of this work is based on the results of theoretical analysis and research to develop a specific training program applicable in health education. The theoretical part deals with lifestyle, physical activity, older school age. The practical part is divided into two parts. In the first parts educational program of selected schools is studied in terms of integrating educational area of Humans and health into school health education curriculum, in the other part results of the research are presented and a proposal of specific health support program is created in which health education is integrated into physical education. Education of Roma in the Czech Republic focusing of basic school

This Bachelor's thesis deals with Romani education issue. The goal was to get experience based on own observation to write a brochure which will serve the Faculty of Educationstudents. The thesis consists of three parts. The theoretical part deals with Romani history, culture and traditions as well as about differences in their education. In the research part I determined the real state and conditions for realization of Romani education at selected primary school - Havlíčkovo Square Primary School Prague 3. I carried out the observation in preparatory classes and with both the students of primary and secondary grade. The technique was the observation method combined with interview. Since there are also Romani teaching assistants at this primary school, I was interested in their point of view on this issue as well. The practical part brought up the summary of observed facts concerning the Romani education which were the basis for the information brochure dedicated to the target group above-mentioned.

Health Education in School Books and Educational Reality at Primary School

Thesis "Health Education in School Books and Educational Reality at Primary School" deals with the realization of Health Education at primary school. Theoretical part of diploma paper results from the content of Health Education in curricular documents, further there is stated up-to-date legislation which regulates this topic. Furthermore the most frequent school books with Health Education are described in this thesis. Practical part of the diploma paper includes the assessment of teachers' attitude on primary schools towards this topic. Thesis evaluates real use of school books by teachers in their effort to achieve the main objectives of Health Education. Further it analyses selected school books of general science considering the health support and protection. In conclusion the results of research work are sumarized in this thesis with the intention to reveal the curent situation in the application of school books and other school materials in the process of realization of Health Education in chosen schools.

Lesson with a form teacher as a specific part of the form teacher work for the lower secondary education in the Czech Republic

V diplomové práci je řešena problematika třídnické hodiny jako specifické náplně práce třídního učitele na 2. stupni základní školy v České republice. Cílem práce je objasnit, jakým způsobem vnímají a přistupují třídní učitelé k třídnické hodině jako ke specifické náplni své práce. Teoretická část se zabývá třídním učitelem, jeho činnostmi a kompetencemi, analyzuje třídu jako sociální skupinu a vymezuje třídnickou hodinu i s jejími specifiky. Popisu přípravy výzkumného šetření a jeho výsledků se věnuje praktická část. Šetření bylo realizováno metodou dotazníku na vybraných základních školách v České republice a respondenti byli třídní učitelé. Zjištění jsou porovnávána s údaji v odborné literatuře a ze získaných dat jsou vyvozovány závěry pro praxi. Abstract The present thesis identifies possibilities to employ practical activities performed in after- school club of Primary practical school as an integration instrument for an absolutely heterogeneous group of children. The theoretical part shows a brief history of education of persons with specific educational needs, in particular of the ones with mental disability. It includes, as well, the education of foreigners' children. I introduce shortly the Frame curricula that serve as the basis for school curriculum of the Primary practical school specifying the key competences to be gained by the pupil during his school attendance. This Thesis deals with teaching methods in Health Education. To get you trough the problem more easily, it also contains characterization of the most used teaching methods, their classification and selection. Also there is a mention about alternative methods. There are many details about Health Education and it is also included elaboration of this educational specialization. Results of the research (which was specialized to used teaching methods) are in compare with subject matter of health education.
