Maria Devotion in Liturgy and in Popular Religiousness

Devotion To The Virgin Mary In Liturgy And People's Religiousness This bachelor work deals with the topic of the devotion to the Virgin Mary. It looks at its different forms in the liturgy and people's religiousness. It stems from historical and theological links. It describes different forms of people's religiousness in dependence on the liturgical year which is reflected in both liturgical celebration and people's religiousness. Particular attention is paid to the origin of feasts and of selected forms of people's religiousness linked with the devotion to the Virgin Mary. One whole part of the work looks at the phenomenon of pilgrimages and their origin. It also focuses on places of pilgrimage that are often devoted to the Virgin Mary. Final chapter leads the reader into different perceptions of the devotion to the Virgin Mary in the Western and Eastern tradition. This bachelor thesis is engaged in the possibilities and specifics of woman working in pastoral care. The identity of woman is presented, the definitions of terms pastoral care, parish and laic are explained. The particular areas where woman can assert in Prague's archdiocese are described. Next are introduced experiences of woman working in these areas. There is evaluation of their working, including plus and minus at the end of this bachelor thesis. Influencing the posture of persons suffering from medium mental handicap

Title of the thesis: Intluencing the posture of persons suffering from medium mental handicap Aim of the thesis: The goal was to evaluate the impact of an exercise unit on selected functions ofthe locomotor system. Methodology: The hasíc concept was to perform a case study of 12 persons suffering from medium mental handicap (in average aged 25 years). The participants were examined with the help ofbasic examination methods to define their posture and muscle dysbalances. The study took four months and the examinations were carried out before the exercise scheme, during the scheme (after two months) and after the completion of the special four-month exercise scheme based on methods ofremedial physical training. Conclusion: After applying the special four-month scheme the results indicate that all members of the monitored group show improvement in all selected indicators of the locomotor system function, i.e. muscle atonia, muscle contracture, and hodily posture, despite the fact that not all hypotheses have been confirmed. Narrating as a Method for Mediation of the Ten Commandments in the Middle School-age Religious Education

The Author deals in his work with principles of narrating mediation of the Ten Commanders to the schoolchildren from 8 to 12 years. Besides the common psychological view of development of the thinking in the age, of prevailing social roles in a family and school, she also emphasizes the development of moral judging. She also presents literally and theoretical view of narrating. The main part of the work shows the importance of narrating in passing Christian believe and moral through the Ten Commanders and New Testament ethics . The author mainly explains the concepts of "Narrating theology and "narrating ethics. She especially deals with didactic principles of narrating as a teaching method. The original contribution of the work are short stories written by the author respecting theoretic principals. That is why one part of the work is the elaboration about dreams because they became an important part of the plot of the stories. In the appendix she offers also particular suggestions of didactic using of her stories.

Anglická anotace PEOPLE'S RELIGIOUNESS AND LITURGY THE RENEWAL OF THE PLACE OF PILGRIMAGE IN SMRŽOV This work focuses on the relation between people's religiousness and liturgy. In the theoretical part it deals with their defining and mutual relation. One of the chapters pays attention to the Czech special characteristics of this relation and of the historical development. Futher, this work deals with selected forms of people's religiousness, e. g. pilgrimage, places of pilgrimage, stations of the Cross and awe of the Virgin Mary and some of its forms. Awe of the Virgin Mary is detailed dealt with for the time between 1850 and 2007. This is the time of building and life of the Smržov Chapel. This chapel is the subject of the practical part of this work. The selected forms of people's religiousness are described in their complexity of the historical development. The practical part focuses on the description of manifestation of people's religiousness and liturgy at a country Marian place of pilgrimage and its renewal after 1989 in the light of church documents. It also pays attention to the possibilities of laymen to take part at these activities. It offers an excellent opportunity to show the link between the secular and church life. To the title: The Folk Art of Singing for a Catholic Divine Service in the Region of Podblanicko ( the vicariates of Vlašim and Benešov ) This work comes to analyze the answers to questions gained from straight to the topic orientated questionnaires, which were distributed to the parishes of Benešov and Vlašim. The survey aims to map the real contemporary feature of the folk singing art performed in this region, as well as to list and point out the song repertoire used in particular churches there, what is followed with a musical characterization and with quotations of three local songs practised in the places of their origin only. It briefly summarizes history of the development of this sign in different liturgical traditions. The thesis notices contemporary understanding of this gesture in actual liturgical books. The Process of Introduction of Optional Eucharist Hand-Communion in the Czech Republic

English annotation The implementation process of the Eucharist Hand-Communion alternative in the Czech Republic territory Within development history background of the Eucharist Communion concept the process leading to the Eucharist Hand-Communion in Czech Republic is treated in nineties of the 20th century. Recent practices are supported by the enquiry of the Prague Archdiocese. The study is divided into three main chapters and thereafter into individual subchapters. The first part summarises Eucharist Communion concepts development up to liturgical reform of the Second Vatican Council. There was also deliberated process leading to facilitating episcopal Conferences to supplicate Apostolic See for permission to provide for Eucharist Hand-Communion within their territory. The second part summarises and documents history of the Eucharist Hand- Communion alternative reimposition in the Czech Episcopal Conference territory and analyses at that time proceeding public discussion. The third chapter contents survey results that were done in a form of inquiry method among Prague Archdiocese priests with an aim to find out how this matter was accepted within pastorality after ten years since this alternative was introduced in Czech Republic. Liturgical music after Vatican II. in the Czech Republic

- Liturgical Music after Vatican II. in the Czech Republic The beginnings of the sacred music on our territory are connected with the outset of Christianity in the 2nd half of the 9th century. In more than thousand years the development of the sacred music went through many stages, from choral and one-voice religious songs to magnificient vocal-instrumental works. From all these periods musical compositions have been preserved which prove a variety of interpretation of liturgical texts as well as the invention of composers. Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican summarized the informations about sacred music into the constitution Sacrosanctum Concilium, specifically in the chapter Num. 6. The sacred music should be based in gregoriant chant, which is the most important wealth of the Church. The basic language is Latin, but there is a big area for the national languages. The Vatican II. prohibits no kind of music, but there are some regulars. The sacred music serve God, its musical means of expression don't contain secular elements. There are two epochas after Vatican II in our territory. The first is until 1989 - the period of deep totalitarianism, the second is after velvet revolution; this period brought freedom. The role of the liturgy of the Mass in the pastoration of families

In my bachelor thesis, I tried to elucidate what is the role of the liturgy in the education of pre-school children in Christian families. I paid attention especially to participation of children in messes. I was searching the answer for those questions: why the participation of children in liturgy is advisable, what does the Church write about this problem in some documents and directives, and how to realize this very important part of Christian education of children. I elaborated the Church directives determining the participation of children in liturgy so that they could be used in practice as often as possible. I paid special attention to the problematics of preparation of children for the liturgy. I mean the direct preparation as well as the indirect preparation which helps a child to be prepared as human. It is the matter of parents to introduce their children in liturgy. The parents promise it when they have their child or children baptized. The family background is the first and the most important place for the development and formation of child's faith.
