Threat of vandalism at tourist attractions and prevention methods

This paper addresses the issue of vandalism at tourist attractions. The main goal of this thesis is to come up with a way to classify and categorize individual acts of vandalism so as to create broader groups of similar acts in order to facilitate the analysis of such acts and determine effective measures to prevent their occurrence in the future. In this paper, individual acts of vandalism are divided into groups by types of tourist attractions, at which they occur. This thesis is divided into two parts and six chapters. Theoretical part provides relevant definitions, current stance on the matter as per the cited literature and suggests a method of classification of acts of vandalism. In the practical part individual cases of vandalism at tourist attractions are discussed. In the last chapter individual acts of vandalism are analyzed according to factors, that are presented in the first part of this paper. Specific preventive measures, that are tailored in accordance to previously mentioned classification are discussed in the last chapter as well.

Analysis of the position of a chosen catering facility in the hospitality market

The aim of this Bachelor's thesis is to make an analysis of the position of the American restaurant Jáma in the hospitality market in Prague, among the restaurants that are focused on American cuisine. As required by the owner of the Jáma, the analysis consist of comparison of the independent American restaurants and restaurant chains operating in the Prague's market. Based on the analysis the possible changes were designed to improve and secure an advantageous position of the restaurant Jáma in the market.

Operational analysis of a chosen accommodation facility

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the operation of a middle-sized luxurious hotel in Prague with a focus on the organization and quality of the provided services. The thesis consists of two parts. In the theoretical part all the major terms related to the operation of an accommodation facility and the system of its functioning are explained. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the characteristics of the main competitors in the neighborhood and the detailed description of the organizational structure of the selected hotel and its departments. On the basis of the SWOT analysis some recommendations how to improve the current situation were put forward.

Theme trails in Germany: the tool for tourism development promotion

Abstract: The thesis examines the phenomenon of theme/holiday trails in Germany. Main goal of the thesis is to focus on sources for the creation and the sustainable development of these trails. The theoretical part discusses basic terms related to the tourism market, destination marketing and destination management. In the following analytical part is analyzed the situation on the German market: the number and category of trails, their management including financing and an attendance monitoring, Czech-German trails and the Romantic trail. The emphasis is also placed on an analysis of a contribution of theme trails to the development of tourism.

The dissertation is about position of gastronomy services in tourism. It conductes a survey of catering services in the Czech Republic. It describes the relation between marketing and catering services. The aim of the dissertation was a research of consumer behaviour in ethnic restaurant. On the basis of results of marketing research were made suggestions to improvement.

Strategy of tourism development in the Vysočina region

Tourism is dynamically developing industry of its kind and an important economic factor in a whole world. It acquires an importance in the Czech republic and its regions, in Vysočina region as well. Vysočina region has got a great potential for tourism development but it has not been utilized enough so far. The goal of this dissertation thesis is to create an image of current state of tourism in Vysočina region, evaluate its prerequisites and possibilities that should be taken into account in the future. On the basis of medium-term documents and strategies created by the region and tourism organisation particular goals and mesures are introduced and subsequently evaluated. Thanks to findings from the SWOT analysis and strategies some solutions and projects are suggested at the conclusion of the thesis. They could help for further development. The dissertation thesis reports the view to current tourism issues of in Vysočina region.

The Tourism Development Strategy of Selected Region – Hradec Králové Region

This thesis examines the topic of the management of tourism destinations. The main aim is to summarize the potential of tourism in Hradec Králové region on the basis of the performed analysis and suggest a strategy for further tourism development. The first part deals with basic definitions and theories of destination management and marketing. The second part is devoted to tourism in Hradec Králové Region. It includes an analysis of the key factors of tourism development, an analysis of the current situation of tourism in the region, a SWOT analysis, and possibilities for further tourism development.
