Medial image of homeless people in selected Czech media

The bachelor thesis "Media Image of Homeless People in Selected Czech Media" deals with the construction of the media image of homelessness in daily newspapers MF Dnes and Hospodářské noviny. The examined period is from 1st December 2011 to 30th November 2012. The aim of this work is to analyze and interpret the relations between particular media contents that are related to the phenomenon of homelessness. The bachelor thesis focuses on possible differences between the analyzed newspapers as well. This work also attempts to compare the media image of homeless people and the outputs of public opinion research. The methodological approach to media image interpretation is the semiotic analysis. According to the analysis results, there is no specific way (neither positive nor negative) of presenting the homeless people that would predominate in the selected newspapers. The differences were not even detected within the individual newspapers. However, Hospodářské noviny are discussing this issue far less than MF Dnes. This might be caused by the large number of regional news that MF Dnes provides every day, while Hospodářské noviny are more focused on the business and economy issues. Integration of Homeless People into Czech Society

This thesis titled "Integration of Homeless People into Czech Society " deals with the process of setting public political agenda and the related homelessness (and social exlusion) control policy in the Czech Republic during 2000-2013. This process falls behind in comparison with other countries or even worse - it is completely missed out. Growing number of social exluded people is the result of these faults. The aim is to evaluate conceptual and strategic approach to the integration of homeless people and to the system of homelessness prevention in social work and public administration. Following methods are used: critical discourse analysis, event analysis of public policies and semi-structured interviews with selected respondents. The main deficiency of the homelessness control policy can be the lack of systematic research strategy at the national level, which manifests itself in ineffective approach to homelessness prevention. Primarily a lack of awareness is also the cause of homelessness prevention. Public education would help to understand the roots of homelessness and to comprehend the possibilities of help. Thesis also compares approaches to homelessness prevention in selected countries during the reviewed period.

Posibilites of integration homeless people into Czech society

The phenomenon of social exclusion and homelessness has been gradually coming to the forefront of interest in the Czech Republic in connection with the economic and political transformations that occurred after 1989. One problem is the insufficient effectiveness of social integration policies, predominated by only isolated solutions for the most blatant consequences. The aim of this work is to compare and evaluate selected social integration policy documents within the framework of the European multilevel system of government. The current possibilities for the social reintegration of homeless people into Czech society will be assessed on the basis of the results of this analysis. This work also attempts to validate published causes of homelessness for a selected group of homeless Czech people. In the empirical part a combination of qualitative research methods is used (semi-structured interviews with homeless people) together with a comparative analysis of the formulated goals of the social integration policies within the framework of the European multilevel system of government. Socioeconomic situation of the young family on the present

The goal of bachelor's thesis is to analyze a situation of young family on the present. It studies the approach of young pairs to parentage and their imagine of a family. It analyzes some factors which interact the family planning of young people, putting the parentage off and a relative low natality in the Czech Republic. In the thesis are judged possibilities how to harmonize the family and an employment, how are mothers with children exercised on the employment market. It describes family policy and opportunities of housing. The empiric part consists of a quantitative observation whose purpose is to find an attitude of young pairs towards family planning in the way of the present time. Physical effort was researched on young pairs with children.

The change of goals in corporate governance of Canadian companies

The purpose of my thesis "The change of goals in corporate governance of Canadian companies" is to find out CSR activities of chosen companies with emphasis on ecological and social activities. It examines the change of view on product manufacturing and thereby the influence on stakeholders. In the first part of thesis I focus on theoretical base of corporate governance and CSR. It zooms in the differences between two approaches -- focus on shareholders and focus on stakeholders. I analyze tools and methods of corporate governance and their influence on evaluation. In the second part I focus on analysis of real companies and application of theoretical knowledge from the first part of thesis. I analyze three Canadian companies, RioTinto Alcan -- mining company, MEC -- producer of outdoor equipment, RBC Bank -- Canadian bank. All companies are the best in their industries. Analysis of activities of three companies enables point to general CSR rules not only in Canadian environment. It is possible to demonstrate world trends of ecological and social projects and activities.
