Mobbing - its manifestations and impacts

The thesis focuses on the topic of mobbing in the context of psychology and connects theoretical knowledge of the applied field of work and organizational psychology. The theoretical part is devoted to defining problematic issues of mobbing, primarily terminological definition and the history of the concept, and then maps of the origin and evolution of this issue. The thesis also describes mobbing from the initial causes of origin and stages, which occurs in the process of mobbing, through manifestations and practices of participants to the impacts and possible prevention. The largest section is devoted to the manifestations and practices of the participants of mobbing; mainly there are described participants of the process and strategies, which they are using during the mobbing process. Furthermore, work focuses on the impacts especially for the victim but also for the work team and the organization, and then to the prevention of this phenomenon. The second part of this thesis presents a proposal for a research project whose aim is to find out whether mobbing occurred in the selected workplace and thoroughly investigates its manifestations and impacts. It is about a proposal for a quantitative-qualitative research.
Career counseling in the organizational context

This bachelor thesis addresses the issue of the career counseling within organizations. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the topic of career, its historical development and current conceptions of career. Further it deals with the topic of career counseling, its historical development and some key concepts and approaches. One of areas where can be career counseling applied is organizational context. Career counseling is a part of a wider career support that can be provided by organizations to their employees. Bachelor thesis summarize how can be career counseling in organizations utilized, which are its goals in the organizational context and how it relates to another activities of career management. Applied part of the thesis proposes the project of the research with the objective of developing a questionnaire that could measure the need of the use of the career counseling within organizations.
Outplacement - possibilities, specificities,limits

The aim of this thesis is to describe the process of outplacement and its impact on redundancies. The first chapters are devoted to the dismissal of employees, their consequences and corporate social responsibility. The next part is devoted to defining the concept of outplacement, its history, content, form and process. The last and main part of this thesis deals with the psychological aspects of layoffs and outplacement and their connection with psychological counseling. The empirical part focuses on the contribution of individual outplacement for redundant employees and evaluate its effect on the mental state of these employees during and at the end of outplacement project. Job loss and its social and health consequences

The bachelor thesis deals with unemployment and its social and health consequences. The objective is to capture the reaction to the loss of employment which are common phenomenon. The work contains chapters for the issue of unemployment, it's subjective and objective causes and significance of work in human life. More attention is devoted to the psychological, somatic and psychosocial consequences associated with unemployment. Conclusion of the theoretical part is focused on strategies coping with job loss. Assessment centers and their prediktive validity

This thesis is devoted to the method of assessment centres and their predictive validity. The theoretical part is focused on the history and development of assessment centres, their design, course, participants, description of the most commonly used techniques, possible uses, advantages and disadvantages of this method. A separate chapter deals with their validity and methods of measuring validity in assessment centres. In addition, this section analyses related topics - adaptation of employees and employee turnover. The empirical part focuses on describing and measuring the degree of predictive validity of an assessment centre, which have been used between years 2010 and 2012 by an unnamed insurance company for employee selection for a position Insurance Consultant. In this part of the thesis, the conducted research is characterized. The results showed that the predictive validity of assessment centres used in the organization was 0.20 - but this result was not found to be statistically significant. At the end there is the discussion about possible factors that might have influenced the research and consideration of the possibilities of increasing this assessment centre's validity.
The career plateau problematics in a big organisation

The theses investigates the problematics of career plateau in a big organization. In theoretical part conceptions of career, its phases and types, possibilities for development, succes criteria, career plateuing, its types, causes and effects are described, also possible ways to handle the career plateau are discussed, on one side from individual point of view on the other side from organizational point of view. Empirical part consists of organisation's description and a research concerning the perception of individual career development and career plateauing among employees of the organization. The research includes qualitative and quantitative approach and focuses on organisational and structural plateauing. Possible practical solutions in the field of human ressources management are given.

1 Abstract The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis focuses on the definition of career from its traditional concept to the present and on the issue of career development. Attention is paid to the developmental aspects of career and the theories of career stages. An important part of the thesis is formed by the presentation of factors influencing the career development, including the personality traits and other individual factors, for example gender and age perspective, intercultural context of career development or the work-life balance. The practical part presents the research design focused on some aspects of the career of the individual (satisfaction with career, importance of further career development, expectations of future career changes) and their connection with basic demographic factors and the personality type by J. Specific techniques of individual coaching

Thesis focuses the topic of individual change and discusses possibilities of its support in terms of psychological (self)coaching. The theoretical part summarizes key psychological traits, which may affect the success of change implementation, than provides insight into the various phases, stages and processes of both individual and organizational change. Attention is then moved to the issue of individual change goals setting and there are shown several models of goals formulation. Next chapter introduces psychological coaching as a suitable approach to the facilitation of individual change and describes specific techniques and strategies that support individuals achieving goals. Particular attention is also paid to the strategy of small steps or quick wins, also known as Kaizen, as well as the other mentioned techniques and tools that can be used in (self)coachning and selfmanagement. The research verifies the effect of Kaizen strategy on individual goals achievement. Results confirm the positive impact of Kaizen on individual success in goal achieving, but also the degrese of precieved satisfaction derived from working on goals.
Feedback and coaching

The theoretical part of this thesis maps the basic concepts, approaches, and categorization processes related to feedback and coaching. It also describes their relationship in the management of the development of individuals and groups. In the practical part of this thesis are primarily categorized and using qualitative methods of grounded theory explored testimony practicing coaches in the focus group and finally formulated into a number of areas recommended for further verification.
