Information System for a Care Service
Karásková, Kateřina ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
Information system for a care service was inspired by the existing system. In there was created a new information system that eliminated shortcomings of the existing system. The information system enables to record data on employees, clients, care and payments for care. The system also includes an overview of past and future client care. The information system was implemented as a web application. This brings the benefit of accessing the application from any electronic device that has Internet access. The created information system can be extended by various functions, as needed by the care organization. The goal was to create an information system that would meet the needs of the care organization's employees and at the same time make it easier for employees to work.
Comparison of the position of the Romanian and Lithuanian Prime Ministers during the reigns of Presidents Klaus Iohannis and Dalia Grybauskaite
Karásková, Kristýna ; Mlejnek, Josef (advisor) ; Perottino, Michel (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the comparison of the positions of the Prime Ministers of Romania and Lithuania during the reign of Presidents Klaus Iohannis and Dalia Grybauskaité. The work deals with the constitutional and practical position of the prime ministers of both countries. Both countries are part of the post-Soviet space and have gone through a democratic transition. At the same time, Romania and Lithuania are countries with a directly elected president and potentially fall into the category of semi-presidential regimes. The position of prime minister in these countries is specific due to the presence of a directly elected president. The work applied a comparative method, specifically a type of so-called contrast of contexts. This theory helps to understand a certain phenomenon through its context. The aim of the work is therefore to point out and understand the similarities and differences in the position of the prime minister, in practice and in the constitution, of these potentially semi-presidential countries. The work also points out to other institutional elements that prime ministers use to balance the presidential role. Attention is also paid to the phenomenon of cohabitation and the position of the prime minister in cohabitation with a non-party president.

The catalysts investigated in this work were prepared by co-precipitation of nitrates with aqueous K2CO3/KOH solution, followed by washing the precipitates to varying degrees of potassium content and calcining the precursors at 500 °C for 4 h. Mn-Al potassium salt followed by calcination at 500 °C. Before the catalytic reaction, they were calcined at 700 °C. The catalysts and their precursors were characterized by the following measurement techniques: ICP, DTG, XRD, N2 physisorption, FTIR, H2-TPR, CO2-TPD, XPS, and thermal alkali metal desorption (SR-TAD).\n\n

Child Soldiers: Recruitment and Abuse of Children in Armed Conflicts
Karásková, Karolina ; Makariusová, Radana (advisor) ; Ludvík, Zdeněk (referee)
The main aim of this Master's thesis is to analyse how children are recruited and abused as soldiers in armed conflicts, and how international humanitarian law protects their rights. The thesis is divided in two main parts, theoretical and empirical. In theoretical part are introduced the most important documents of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, including international governmental and non-governmental organizations which promote these rights. In empirical part, the author focuses on case studies, namely the case of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) and the case of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The author was not interested in finding similarities in these two cases, but conversely, to point out on the uniqueness of each case. To precise, the thesis is analysing reasons for the recruitment and abuse of children by the LRA and ISIS, and the legal responsibility of both groups. The author of this thesis chose as a methodology an instrumental case study which is useful for providing a general understanding of a phenomenon by using a particular case. In addition, this methodology is convenient for interpretation of legal documents, and two selected cases serve as instruments for interpreting the recruitment and abuse of children in armed conflicts. The...
Direct Decomposition of NO Over Co-Mn-Al Mixed Oxides: Effect of Ce and/or K Promotors.
Jirátová, Květa ; Pacultová, K. ; Karásková, K. ; Balabánová, Jana ; Klegová, A. ; Obalová, L.
In this contribution, the effect of K and/or Ce on activity of Co-Mn-Al mixed oxides was stud-ied, as presence of Ce could increase mobility of oxygen in the transition metals oxides.\n

Activity of K-Promoted Co-Mn-Al Mixed in Direct Decomposition of No and Deep Oxidation of Ethanol.
Jirátová, Květa ; Balabánová, Jana ; Pacultová, K. ; Karásková, K. ; Klegová, A. ; Obalová, L.
In this study, Co-Mn-Al mixed oxides modified by K were prepared by co-precipitation of a solution of metal nitrates with the aqueous solution of K2CO3 and KOH, washing the precipitates to different level of K concentrations and finally calcined at chosen temperature, usually 500 °C. The catalysts were characterized by AAS, nitrogen physisorption (Sbet), TPR-H2, XRD, and TPD- CO2. In case of direct NO decomposition, the catalysts pre-calcined at 700 °C were tested for direct NO decomposition in inert gas (650 °C, 0.5 g, 1000 ppm NO/N2, 49 ml min"1). Deep oxidation of ethanol was carried out under following conditions: 0.2 g, 760 ppm of ethanol in air, 4 000 ml h'1, the temperature ramp of 2 °C min'1.
