SUM MARY A major objective of this dissertation was with hepl of literary sources to show and point out contemporary trends in strength preparation of sprinters, regardless of the goal of concrete training phases. The phases are planned according to the competition schedule. The further important factor of the successful planning is to know individua! strength training metods and how to incorporate them to the overall plann. The yearly training plan is an important a tool for achieving long-range athletic goals. The yearly training plan is devided into: Anatomical adaptation, the main objectives of this phase are to involve most muscle groups and to prepare the muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints for load. The duration of this phase i s 3 to 5 weeks. Maximal strength, the main objective of this phase is to develop the highest level of force possible. This is according to Charlie Francis the most important phase for sprinters. The duration of this phase should be approximately 6 to 9 weeks depend on athletes. Maintenance phase or competition phase, the main objective of this phase is to maintain the standarts achieved during the previous phases. The main goal is the competition. Transition phase, the mam purpose of this phase is to remove the fatigue acquired during the training year and replanish...

Stodůlka, David ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Sýkora, Miloslav (referee)
Name: The aim of communication between an accompanying runner and a visually handicapped atlete Project goal: In my diploma thesis, I would like to pay attention to athletics as a suitable sports activity for visually handicapped persons and inform the readers about the problems of athletics of visually handicapped people. Another objective is to specify the aim of communication between a visually handicapped sportsman and an accompanying runner. Methodology: Summary of available literature and electronic information sources; the collection of data by means of a questionnaire; discussions with visually handicapped athletes; subsequent comparison to existing experience and the evaluation ofnew conclusions. Results: Athletics IS a suitable sports activity for visually handicapped people. Long-term co- operation of an athlete and an accompanying runner markedly influences the sports performance. Mutual communication, created during the athletic training, is also an important element for the performance increase. Mutual communication is characteristic for each athletic couple and therefore it is not possible to follow points, which were set in advance. Key words: athletics, communication, visual handicap, accompanying runner 3

Lazarovová, Jana ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Petr, Miroslav (referee)
Title: Analysis ofmen's and women's sport peďormance in 100 meter dash. Name: Jana Lazarovova Aim: The aim of the thesis was to analyse and compare the structure of men's and women's sport peďormance in 100 meter dash at the Czech Champioships in Olomouc 2003, in Plzen 2004 and in Kladno 2005. We compared the resultant time of particular finalists, their intervals, speed, the number, length and frequency of their steps. The collected data should show us the weak points ofthe competitors. Methods: In the methodology we analyse the peďormance through six factors which we use in videorecording. (videorecording- 25 pictures I second- 6 factors). Values of the factors determine speed skills of sprinters (reaction time, acceleration, maximum speed, speed endurance). At the analysis of the peďormance we find out the portion of each factor influencing runner's speed (length and frequency of steps, etc.) 100 meter dash is evaluated on 1O meter sections, which enables to gain detailed information about analysed factors: 1. Running time at any section 2. Time ofevery 1Ometer section 3. Speed in each section (mls) 4. The number ofsteps in each section ( n) 5. Length ofsteps in each section ( m) 6. Frequency ofsteps in each section ( nls) Results: First ofall, we analysed men's and women's peďormance of 100...
